About this apartment rental
Blue Vista Too is a comfortable Water Island apartment, that is on the ground floor of our island home, Blue Vista. It is centrally located on the island, and is within walking distance (less than 5 minutes) to Honeymoon Beach, the ferry dock, and Limestone Beach. Blue Vista Too is positioned on a hillside in a private wooded acre lot with its own private drive and a nice view overlooking Limestone Bay. It has recently been refurbished. It has a nicely furnished kitchen with newly updated appliances. It has 1 bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, and 1 full bath. It also has a large screen porch, and small den. The owners have sole access to the villa above, which is separate from Blue Vista Too and is never rented.
Blue Vista Too is on the Caribbean side of Water Island which has open exposure to the gentle trade wind breezes from the East. A large 12x24 screen porch with attached balcony deck provides a terrific staging area to enjoy the view, watch the cruise ships arrive & depart, check out the sail boats and the mega yachts, or simply relax and read a book.
If you're not relaxing on the porch, you have probably down at Honeymoon Beach, one of the top beaches in the Virgin Islands! Bring your bathing suits (we'll provide the beach chairs, towels, & snorkeling gear). Check out Dinghy's Beach Bar for adult beverages & meals, or bring along a picnic and your own beverages.
You might also enjoy walking down to Limestone Beach to do some serious shelling. The access trail is adjacent to our property line. In fact Blue Vista Too is so close to Limestone Beach that you will hear the waves lapping on the shore as you go to sleep in your comfy bed.
Water Island is the smallest of the US Virgin Islands, and is located adjacent to the main harbor of St Thomas. When you arrive at the airport, you'll take a 5 minute taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina to take the Water Island Ferry (5-10 minutes). We will meet you when you arrive at the ferry dock to escort you to your stay here. We will also give you a tour of Blue Vista Too and provide you with any info you may need (such as where to stock-up on your favorite food & beverages). Water Island activites you'll want to enjoy are regularly posted on Facebook under What’s going on Water Island.
It's also fun to take advantage of the regular ferry schedule to go shopping & sightseeing on St Thomas. Or for the more adventurous, charter a sailboat for the day, go on a fishing charter, or visit St John or the other Virgin Islands.

John and Christine were amazing hosts and we were very pleased with Blue Vista Too. The property was excellent - clean, terrific location and well appointed with everything we needed. The screened in porch was a favourite spot to chill after great days on Honeymoon Beach which was a short walk or golf cart ride away. We appreciated the beach chairs, cooler and snorkel/mask/ water chairs available for our use.Although we ate out at Heidi’s and Dinghy’s for dinners most nights….kitchen was well equipped for our morning coffee, breakfast and lunch/snacks.In addition, John and Christine were terrific hosts, available and responsive in terms of communication. John has a wealth of information about Water Island and very kindly took us on a tour of the island, including the local fort.We had a wonderful time and highly recommend the Blue Vista Too and John/Christine as super hosts if you plan to visit Water IslandThank you John/Christine for a wonderful vacation in your VRBO apartment Kind Regards,Alanna & Mike

John & Christine met us at the ferry from St Thomas and led the way to their house giving us a brief tour on the way. They made us feel welcomed and left us to our desires. On several occasions we saw them (at Honeymoon Beach or at dinner) and we enjoyed our discussions. We were introduced to several of their friends and were made to feel very comfortable. They were excellent hosts and we definitely would look forward to not only returning to Water Island but also renting their place again.

We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the property was very close to honeymoon beach. It was also very private and well stocked with coffee and condiments etc. The back deck was perfect for a late lunch and a cocktail later on at night. Plenty of towels shampoo , And beach bags were included. I would definitely stay there again.
