NEW CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING! Imagine waking up on Water Island and walking onto your deck looking over Honeymoon Beach and onto the Caribbean Sea. Stroll 5 minutes down to the beach and to one of the best beach bars in the Virgin Islands. Spend the day snorkeling with sea turtles, lounging under palms trees or jump into a game of beach tennis, volley ball or pickle ball. Rent a golf cart for your stay and explore our little 500 acre island and you will feel like you have just stepped back into time. Swing by the kid friendly crossings for a crushed ice, local art or grab a beer. Next head over to Heidi's for the best fish tacos in the USVI. Our cottage has an expansive Living Room with incredible views, open kitchen with newer gas stove & stainless steel fridge and great deck. Each Bedroom has a simple full bath w/ shower. 1st bedroom has queen memory foam mattress, in suite bath and new mini split AC. 2nd bedroom has a king memory foam mattress, adjacent full bath and new mini split AC. We highly recommend renting a golf cart online from Rachel’s Rentals. If your looking for luxury this is not the house for you; but if you’re ready to disappear into our tropical hideout then come be our guest.

This property is perfectly located near the Honeymoon Beach and Dinghy’s Bar. The property management and owner were amazingly helpful in every aspect of my stay. Finally the people of Water island were so nice that it made my trip extra special.

Had a blast.
Only problem is, WATER ISLAND needs to be put in imminent description. Had I been aware that this bed and breakfast was not located on the island of Saint Thomas, I could had planned better financial.
If intended to stay in Water Island, 5 stars. Great, no complaints.
But being on Water Island while intending to be in St Thomas bring extra hurdles into the equation. Not going into details as far as those. But it’s going to cost you extra.
Which although, is met with hospitality… should be met more accountancy and accommodation unless clearly stated that this BnB is on Water Island.

My 5 star review is based on my expectations after talking to George, the owner, but this is not a 5 star property. Keep in mind the property is still undergoing improvements. We rented the main house and guest house beside it. The main house has a very large kitchen and living area so our family staying in the guest house joined the main house for meals. The property is at a perfect location for walking to beautiful Honeymoon Beach. From the house you get a view of the beach and blue water and the sound of the birds and tree frogs is so relaxing. Tortoises and hermit crabs in the yard add to the amazing ambience of Water Island. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Remember it is an island property and water comes from a cistern so you should be respectful and conserve water.
George was an amazing host who responded immediately to all of our questions and needs.
If you're looking for luxury this isn't for you, but if you want a laid back island vibe you can't go wrong here.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The island is interesting with various wildlife and having limited cars is a really nice change. The locals are all very friendly. A great place to get away and just relax. As for the property, our first impression was not good. There is limited furniture. There were no towels, many pillows didn't have slips. The one bedroom had a broken down plastic bin for an end table. The electrical is unfinished in both bathrooms. There was a new microwave and toaster oven but the hot plate didn't work at all and the stove barely worked. We did eventually get two burners to light. The exterior is not well kept with various building materials and trash laying around. The isn't really a local property owner so if it tricky to get help if you need it. There isn't a generator on the property. We didn't have an issue with that but would have been a major problem. However, once we adjusted our expectations to being more like upscale camping, we got along just fine. There was plenty of room. There is AC in both bedrooms but not the main room which didn't really need it. We were on the beach during the heat of the day and there are nice island breezes. The deck has a beautiful view overlooking honeymoon beach. You should definitely rent a golf cart and beach chairs from Rachaels. You can walk to the beach but it is down a big incline. Also part of the fun in exploring the island.
