Description of Cottage
This craftsman-inspired cottage is in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to Stewart Park and is only a ten minute walk to the city center or to the Humboldt State University campus. The cottage interior is comfortable and well appointed, with open floor plan which includes a living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range, microwave and a refrigerator. The tiled bathroom features a tub/shower combination. The living room sofa makes into a bed which can sleep either one additional adult or two children. Beautiful maple floors, hand woven carpets, a leather sofa bed, an original Morris style chair, historic photography and original works of art add warm ambiance to the main living area.
A door separates the bedroom from the living area which allows privacy for guests using the sofa bed. Guests will be able to enjoy a good nights sleep on the queen sized bed which features a Sterns and Foster ultra-plush pillow top mattress, down pillows and fine linens. Paintings by the owner, an accomplished artist, enhance the bedroom
decor.

We had a relaxed and very welcoming stay. We were there for two weeks and it became our home away from home. Its convenient, in town location made it easy to walk to restaurants and stores. Located in a safe and peaceful neighborhood, we promised ourselves we’d stay there again. Our hosts, Jim and Christine provide a wonderful stay for their guests.

Perfect location for visiting everything in Arcata and walking distance to CPH. Very comfortable bed, great water pressure, and everything you would need in the kitchenette.

Truly a CHARMING cottage. The place was very clean, very tidy, and had everything we needed for the 3 nights we stayed in Arcata. We also had the pleasure of meeting Jim and he was a delight! Very helpful and very informative!
