Located high above Tucson in the exclusive Starr Pass Resort community, this newly renovated deluxe Casita offers access to this spectacular desert and mountain playground. You will be steps away from the renowned Arnold Palmer course at Starr Pass. Several on-site restaurants give you the choice of whether to cook or dine out.
Please note that we have no association with the JW Mariott resort. This booking does NOT include any access to the golf club pool. Day passes may be available for a fee. If you read about a fenced pool, that is not accurate.

You are within 10 minutes walking distance to the 5-Star J.W. Mariott Resort where you may take advantage of their Spa (fee), shops, and Restaurants. The Signature Grill provides a daily breakfast buffet that is the best in Arizona. Foods from Italy can be sampled at the renowned Primo restaurant.
The Casita features two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, living/dining room, and a patio. Views are of the Catalina Mountains and Mt. Lemmon. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, smart TV, desk, large master bath with separate shower/tub and his/her sinks. The guest bedroom has two queen sized beds, Mini-Fridge, Microwave, sink, and separate entrance.
The fully equipped kitchen will delight even serious chefs with gas stove, ample food prep area, microwave, and a larger-than-average supply of cooking utensils and dishware. Extras include a deluxe juicer and several coffee makers including a coffee grinder. You may even choose to eat at the counter while seated in the Mexican style bar chairs.
The living/dining room area features comfy chairs, fireplace, high beamed ceiling, 36 in smart TV, sofa, and Dining table for 6. Basic Cable TV
The Casita complex borders scenic Tucson Mountain Park. You are only a couple miles from Suguaro National Park West and it's Desert Museum. Short drives will take you to Mt. Kitt Observatory, Tubac's art and furniture shops, Tucson's Historic 4th Street, the University of Arizona, Kirchner Caverns and Collossal Cave,
Our cleaners wear masks and gloves at all times. They disinfect all high-touch surfaces, particularly in the bathrooms and kitchen. Soaps provided for your use are anti-bacterial. Finally, we will make every effort to have the Casita sit empty for a day between each rental.
Starr Pass is truly a treasure that you should experience. It is a serene setting but offers active persons a wealth of opportunities. You can enjoy the City Lights by night and the great outdoors during the day.

I have stayed at Starr Pass Suites in 2024 and 2025. The resort is perfect for me when I visit family in Tucson. I like the extra room of the 2 bedroom unit. I hiked in Tucson Mountain Park - fantastic. I rented a bike and was able to ride 4 days. Desert Museum is nearby and worth the trip. Dave, the owner, is wonderful to work with if you have any issues. The pool, gym and tennis court on the Starr Suites property is not accessible to guests of the property being reviewed. Employees of the Marriott told us that Marriott no longer owns the pool at Starr Suites. Regardless of ownership be aware that the Star Pass Suites pool is not available to guests of this unit. The kitchen was well stocked. We mopped the floor during our stay. The beds were comfortable and internet worked great. For lap swimming the City / County operated Fred Archer Pool and gym are a couple of mile drive and no cost. Tub in Master BR was not in working order during our stay.

What a delightful surprise the location of this comfortable casita turned out to be! We were met by a constant stream of wildlife, just off the patio. Javelinas, Mule deer, rabbits and coyotes wandered by. Hummingbirds, Cardinals and Orioles made a daily appearance. Starr Pass is well sited for easy access to all the amenities of Tucson, to the nearby Marriott and to the highways that lead to many other southern Arizona adventures. Many hiking trails are within walking/short driving distance. The casita was newly refreshed at our visit and very comfortable. Our host was easy to contact when we had any questions. The six weeks we spent there flew by and we were sad to say goodby.

We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful casita located in a beautiful area. Having said that, there are some serious issues that need attention. First the ice maker did not work and when we purchased ice it gradually melted even though the freezer was set to the coldest setting. Second, while the dishwasher did complete the cycle and light the clean light, it did a terrible job washing the dishes. This must have been a problem for some time since many of the dishes in the cabinets were dirty. Third, the lock on the window in the bedroom is broken in the locked position so the window cannot be opened. Beyond that, many things screwed into the walls were loose and several light bulbs were burnt out. A good maintenance person
needs to spend some time here.
