Perfect place for a family. The kids loved the game room with bunk beds. My wife and I loved the lake and sunset views from the top deck. Moonridge is a great place to stay, close enough to everything but quieter than the village area. Hope to stay again next summer

Cabin was nice and peaceful. Decently equipped. I didn’t realize there were three separate decks all on different levels. Lots of going up and down steps. The top floor didn’t seem to get the benefit of the air conditioning and got a bit stufffy at times. My main complaint is with check in with Destination Big Bear. I wasn’t given code for the key box by the day of arrival, which I have never experienced in all the homes I have rented. I emailed that morning asking about it and was told it would be sent after the home was cleaned and ready for check in. Check in was 4:00pm and I hadn’t heard anything from them, so at 5:15 I emailed them. I was getting nervous about driving all the way up there and maybe not having signal so I called and went to voicemail. Someone called me back and said I should have gotten a text. I did not ever get that text so he emailed it. That’s why I think it’s poor policy to withhold that until the house is ready. Then when we arrived and opened the door, an alarm was beeping which turned into a full ear-splitting siren. I desperately went through my check emails and all info I was sent but there was nothing about an alarm code. So I called the office again and was given the code and told, very curtly that it was in my information I should have read. Again I looked through it and no where was a an alarm even mentioned. That is something that should be in bold and first line of check in if they are going to set it.

We had a great time at the property. Location was close enough to attractions (esp the zoo!) but far enough to have a great view of the fireworks off the balcony without all the noise. Clean and comfortable.

For the past 7 years on the long weekend in January, our family rents a cabin in Big Bear with another family that we are close with to enjoy all that Big Bear has to offer. This year, we invited a third couple to make the trip and, as such, needed a bigger cabin. We are so blessed to have found Bill & Sharons cabin! The accommodations are clean and well stocked with linens and other necessities, and Bill & Sharon go to great lengths to make sure you feel comfortable and at home. There is a large open area on the hill below the house, and we were able to carve a rather long sledding track (we called it the “luge”) into the hill for the kids. It made for three days of amazing fun for both our kids and the adults, and countless pictures that we will cherish for a lifetime. The cabin is also just minutes from both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. We did manage to pry ourselves away from the house to go skiing one day, and when we got back we soothed our sore bodies in the Jacuzzi while enjoying the beautiful views on the deck. The accommodations also include a great BBQ (propane provided), the three decks with crazy good views, trash service (some cabins require you to haul your trash to the dump, which is a pain), two big flat screens and TVs in each room, a game room, and the list just goes on. We will definitely be back next year!
