About this house rental

We would like to call it glamping but it is a bit too luxurious for that. It is however, a romantic getaway for two, where you feel you are in a remote location and close to nature while being close to all the Asheville area has to offer. We are 5-10 minutes from the grocery, some nice restaurants, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15-20 minutes from Biltmore and downtown and 20-25 minutes from the River Art District and funky West Asheville. The Mountains to Sea Trail will also be a 5 minute walk from your door. If you choose to stay in there is a hot tub, satellite TV and WiFi to keep you entertained or take in the solitude of the mountain sitting on the deck reading or enjoying a cup of coffee.

Beautiful location and experience in the Namaste yurt. We booked this stay to take advantage of the hot tub after 4 days of mountain biking PNF. It did not disappoint!A notable mention would be the gravel road to the yurt. An AWD vehicle would be ideal esp if the weather is bad.

Staying at this cozy yurt was a new and unique experience. The drive up to the yurt was a little intimidating the first time, but I didn't have any trouble after that. Very quick and simple ride to get to stores, restaurants, and the mall. The yurt itself was clean and stayed nice and warm during the cold nights. You could tell it was a little dated, but it had a charming character. Most essentials were provided for the kitchen and bathroom. The hot tub was very nice as well, clean and hot. And it was easy to find something to watch on TV, no issues there. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Namaste.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was a wonderful experience. We even discussed going again. The place was clean and quiet. There were cobwebs on the fan, but overall it was very nice. The quietness of the area was the best part. The TV stopped working at one point, but we were already getting ready to leave. Next time, we want to try the serenity yurt and see how the two compare. Check-in was easy and the drive was easy.

Utensil drawer was nasty, food had been left in the fridge. I would hire a new cleaning crew.The cabin up the hill was extremely loud 2 of the 3 nights we were there. We expected more privacy and a view but had neither. The shower wasn't clean and dish rack was nasty. The same soap was being used in the shower, bathroom and kitchen. Cobwebs everywhere and bed was extremely uncomfortable. We did not use the stove due to not working properly, microwave was disgusting. We personally would not stay here again.

Overall, a great place to stay. Fairly close to the parkway and a short drive to the city for daily entertainment. Wifi was a little wonky, but we didn’t really need to use it so not a bummer for us, cable worked pretty good! Hot tub was clean and secluded. Water was nice and hot in the shower. It is right across the street from another yurt, so that wasn't expected, but it didn’t affect us.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was very convenient to town with still feeling pretty secluded. I was also impressed with how cool the yurt stayed, even with it being so hot outside. It was well stocked and communication with the manager was very easy. The bed/pillows were not the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on and the WiFi was spotty at best but all in all it was a great stay.

The area of the property is incredible. Trees, wildlife, wildflowers - and in the middle of the woods, just gorgeous. The drive up is a bit rough - I could definitely see an AWD vehicle being needed if it was raining, definitely if any wintry weather was involved. The check-in process is different than described in the rental agreement. It was somewhat difficult to reach the primary contact for the yurt by phone about questions on the check-in process, both due to phone signal at the facility and due to one contact number being out of service. Cleanliness was the thing most in question. Lots of dust in every area not in everyday use, hot tub was very green even given the water quality, and the sheets on the bed appeared used (particularly the dried crusty substance all over the pillowcase). Overall not a bad spot, just needs some more regular cleaning.

It was a great experience! Everything as described and so clean, had all accommodations you need. The hot tub was a great addition as well. So private and perfect for our few days of relaxation as we celebrated our 23 anniversary!! Only a few miles from anything you would need! Property owner had everything ready for us when we arrived! Overall excellent stay. If you like to cook or bake, you might want to bring a few things from home. We baked some brownies and left a 9x9 pan which we had to buy because there was nothing there, but happy to do so. If you do a lot of food prep, bring a folding table as counter space is very limited. Otherwise and excellent stay, and loved getting in the hot tub every evening.

Basic yurt, had the necessities. The stay wasn't bad, but could have been better with a few things: 1. Air conditioning should have been turned on earlier, prior to our check in so it wasn't so hot upon arrival. The air did work and cool down but it just was an odd way.to start the stay. 2. Boards at the top of the yurt had very big cobwebs. I understand cleaning them is difficult, but it made the yurt feel dirty, when most of it wasn't. 3. Some dishes were dirty, we rewashed most things we were going to use.

The yurt was just as I imagined from the site. Check in was super easy. The road was not as easy to navigate as imagined, we made it okay with an off road vehicle, but it was very bumpy and could be more difficult for non-mountain terrain people/vehicles. The heat worked great, was nervous since going during the winter, even had some snow outside and still felt toasty inside. Be careful on front steps though during inclement weather, very slippery, but to be expected during bad weather.
