About this apartment rental

Kanaloa at Kona is a premier vacation condo location in Kona Hawaii. The complex is nestled into a residential neighborhood away from traffic and other condos or hotels. Kanaloa is exceptionally beautiful with abundant space and tropical landscaping around and between buildings. The units are exceptionally large (mine is 1300 sqft). Kanaloa is surrounded by the Kona Country Club and Keauhou Bay - both add to the quiet and tranquility of this fabulous location.

Within the Kanaloa complex, only a portion of the units are truly ocean front. Most have ocean views, but it is highly special to be directly on the ocean. This condo is the very best that Kanaloa and the Kona coast have to offer. Only 2 of the Kanaloa buildings have full ocean views from the bedrooms - and this is one of them!

The sights and sounds of the ocean will fill your days and nights. You are surrounded by the ocean on the Lanai patio and inside the condo as well. You'll fall deeply asleep to the sound of crashing waves!

We offer a decidedly luxurious and quality vacation experience for you. The furniture is solid hand-carved mahogany, tropical art work enhances every room, the beds are plush and the linens soft, the kitchen and bathrooms have Koa cabinetry, the kitchen is equipped with everything you will need and was remodeled in 2008 to provide granite counters and new appliances. This condo is ideal for couples traveling together. Both bedrooms have plush California King beds!!

We also include the little touches that we enjoy and will add to your vacation. Our cable TV has enhanced digital service that includes a DVR (record those favorite shows while you are out enjoying the island). We have a home office with wired high speed internet access and wireless access in all other rooms. The office also has a printer available to you for those local maps, boarding passes, and other info you need during your vacation. We also have a good supply of beach chairs, mats, towels, and toys to use for those visits to the island beaches and parks.

There were 4 of us. It was a perfect Hawaiian condo. Every amenity you could ever want. First floor unit on the ocean and no one was above us during our stay. You do get use to the ocean noise. The owners were very accommodating allowing us to enter the unit earlier than suggested arrival time. We would definitely consider a repeat stay in the future. The property was beautiful. I love this location on the Kona side of the island.

Wondrous location, wave sounds and heavenly beds extolled zen quality sleep, hollywood movie sunsets and sunrises. Nicely furnished, glorious showers, and a native motif. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped (even had a microplane). Couple of issues: mildew in washer (easily cleaned by running a cycle with a bath towel), handle on pocket door to masterbath was broken (very difficult to open pocketdoor, if door was completly closed). However would NOT HESITATE to stay again.

We ended our 2 week trip in Hawaii here for the last 3 nights and it was so relaxing. We just got food at the local Market (KTA Superstore) and hunkered down to enjoy the waves, weather and pool. The bed is very comfortable and we will definitely stay again, but next time longer!

Very comfortable condo, breathtaking ocean front views from every window! You could easily cook a holiday meal with the fully stocked kitchen. The property has 3 pools so everyone will be happy, ocean front, quiet pool and family pool. The sunsets and moonsets were AMAZING, and we didn't have to leave our lanai or living room to catch the show.

I have stayed in many VRBO’s but this place is above and beyond stocked with everything you need. Plenty of pots and pans plates cups utensils and cooking utensils. Probably better stocked than my own kitchen. The view from the front lanai is exactly as pictured. Pool is super close. Highly recommend this place.

Coffee on the Lani every morning is a great start to the day. Loved being close to town but not close enough to have noise. This unit is the BEST in the complex for location. The condo is very well appointed with a fabulous ocean view. It is in a great location south of Kailua-Kona but close enough to be an easy drive to the boat harbor if you or someone in your group is scuba diving. It is an easy drive to Captain Cook, The place of Refuge, and 2 step for great snorkeling. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need. They have beach towels, a cooler, beach chairs and a beach umbrella available to make your life easier. We enjoyed playing games on the lanai while watching the sunset. We had a few issues during our stay and Suzanne was very responsive and quickly took care of them. I will definitely recommend this condo to my friends and would happily stay here again.

Had a great time, unit was well equipped, nicely furnished and very quiet. The unit is waterfront and the view is spectacular. No complaints other than the VRBO app didn't send check in instructions. We spoke directly with the owner and all turned out fine. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Not only does this condo have the perfect view, right on the ocean, but it also has everything you could need for your stay on the Big Island. We were there for a family wedding (two couples stayed in the condo) and hosted a few family meals and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed! Extra plates, serving dishes, spices, you name it. Not to mention all the beach toys needed for a day out. The pools are a short walk from the condo. But we all agreed the view and hearing the ocean crashing as you’re falling asleep was amazing. The owners were easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend staying in this condo. We had stayed at the Kanaloa condos before but not this condo, and this was beyond great!

We had a fantastic stay at this waterside condo. The sound of the waves crashing was very pleasant. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed to do some cooking or keep some leftovers. Our family of 4 adults stayed over the Christmas holiday. The location and condo could not have been better. The condo has everything you could ask for. Lots of kitchen supplies, left overs containers and items typically missing from most places we have stayed. The location cannot be beat. We were even able to see whales from the lanai.

We loved this on-the-water condo. The highlight of our trip was our lanai breakfast/coffee in the mornings and sunset lanai suppers. The condo is beautifully furnished in high end, solid furniture with comfortable beds, linens and seating throughout. The shower in the master bedroom bath is spacious with plenty of light and hot water and lots of water pressure. There is a tub/shower combo in the main bath. The kitchen is completely equipped. We never lacked for anything. Lots of air conditioning and ceiling fans. Wonderfully comfortable stay. Beach supplies in the hall closet and outdoor storage space, including beach chairs, beach towels and toys. If you are standing in the kitchen looking out the front windows, all you can see is the ocean, making it feel like you are on a boat. The windows surround the living space - ocean views all around. Close enough to the water to hear the waves and get sea spray! It was perfect. Thank you for sharing such a great space :>)

Beautiful oceanfront and everything we had hoped for! Having 2 king beds was great as our group was 2 adult couples. The condo was decorated to perfection in Hawaiian style. Large lanai was ideal for watching sunsets. Having an ocean front pool just steps away was a huge plus. The condo grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Overall, a solid 10! Can't wait to go back!

Location was outstanding!! This property is great for the person looking to be explore the island or the person looking at staying on the property your entire vacation. The views of this unit are breathtaking. Sitting on the lanai listening to the oceans waves crash on the rocks, watching amazing sunsets and if you are as lucky as we were seeing dolphins swim by in the distance.

We love everything about Kanaloa at Kona…especially Suzanne’s condo! This was our 3rd visit to this area. Very quiet and relaxing stay at this time of year. The condo was tops and the staff really excel at keeping the resort beautiful. Wonderful KTA grocery store just up the hill. Great restaurants and sights just short drive away as well. We hope to return next year.

Awesome property, right on the water! The pool is just steps away. Even better, you can watch the sunset from your lanai while the water crashes on the rocks right below! This is NOT a rental property, but a home that has everything you would need for your vacation: snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrella, ice chests, beach wagons, and even reusable bags. Full kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals and even the ability to store leftovers. Location is great: shopping center near by; near Keauhou Bay (check out Dolphin Discoveries for snorkeling fun); and Magic Sands Beach is close. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

This property is amazing! A beautiful 180 degree view of the ocean with waves crashing right below you. We loved mornings on the lanai and listening to the waves all night long. Beautiful sunsets! The unit had everything we needed including snorkels, masks, fins, beach chairs and mats and a cooler. Kitchen was extremely well stocked and had all we needed, including spices, etc. A/C worked great and was a welcome reprieve from the heat/humidity. One of the pools is close to the unit and the overall property was quiet and well-maintained. We have stayed in numerous VRBO's over the years and we agreed this unit is our favorite! Thanks for sharing it, we can't wait to return.

This condo is beautiful and very well maintained. 3 pools, tennis and pickle ball courts, BBQ’s, and security. We saw dolphins and a whale from the lanai. We also visited the Konasalt factory, vanilla farm( my personal favorite) , volcano national park,Panalu’u bakery and so much more!

This property far surpassed our hopes and dreams. The view was beyond spectacular and the condo was in perfect pristine condition. The host was super attentive and quick to respond. There is not one thing we would've changed about our stay. We are missing waking up to that view so much. I would 1000% recommend this property.
