Unlike any other vacation rentals, our country estate has everything and is very close to all the Monterey Bay area has to offer. Relax & enjoy our 3 bedrooms home with and a 1 bedroom second guest house for the price of one!
The property is in the Corral de Tierra area conveniently located just south of Monterey, California. A short drive to Laguna Seca (3 minutes), Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Pacific Grove. Downtown Monterey is 15 minutes Google maps has it at 13.4 miles.

Our home is on 1.3 acres all fenced in, with a big back and front yards with gardens and a big playhouse. Very private with an electric gate and a ton of parking. The house is a 2000sf two-story with a balcony. With one bedroom and bath downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs and full bathroom. The downstairs kitchen is fully equipped, a stove, dishwasher, side-by-side fridge/freezer, toaster, convection microwave, and coffee maker. Stocked spice-rack kitchen towels, everything you need, granite counters, and a breakfast nook. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. It has a big 20 X 15 living room, roll-a-way bed, and a formal dining room.

Free high-speed wireless Internet throughout the property. RVs, Families with Kids are welcome.

Our property will sleep 10-12 adults comfortably.

Monterey is an easy 13-mile drive on Highway 68 a short 15 minutes.

Very charming home. Big enough for our group of eight. Setting is so beautiful and also close to Monterey and Carmel. Communication with the owner was easy. He was always responsive to questions and very helpful.

Property was great for our stay. Large parking on site for all of our vehicles. The main house is a historic home and the first developed home in the area if my memory serves me correct. Very clean and a lot of emenities. The guest house was large and modern with a living area space, full kitchen, bar, full bathroom and bedroom. Also the pool table was a nice addition. The outdoor entertaining space was great. Plenty of room for guests to hang out after a long day of exploring Monterey and Carmel which is about 15 min away or about 25min with traffic from car week. The communication with the property manager was great. All our guests had a great time!

Beautiful property

The property is very spacious and charming and just like the pictures. My 8 year old grandson loved the hammock and big open spaces. The outdoor space is great for family gatherings and there are lots of outdoor lights for the evenings too. Check-in was easy and the houses are well stocked with pots and pans, plates, etc. to cook and serve family meals. We had events in Carmel and the traffic was often heavy, so allow extra time for travel. The only issue we had was that the bed in the guest house is very high and my elderly parents (88) were not able to use it. They slept on the day bed and trundle instead and enjoyed the house, but it’s good to know. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely come back if we’re in the area.

Wonderful property. The main house was older, 1937, and as such was smaller, quirky and quaint - that said it has all mod cons, WiFi, cable, etc... The guest house was spacious and modern. It worked great for us. My dad had the guesthouse while my husband, kids and I used the main house. The BBQ was put to good use, and the grounds were perfect for the children to play safely without constant supervision. Marty was helpful, and answered any queries quickly. I would highly recommend.

We visited as two families with kids among us, and everyone had a great time! The location is convenient for last-minute grocery run we needed for a toddler, and also close to a bunch of restaurants. It has a nice rustic and charming feel to it. The main house was built in 1937!! There was something for everyone to enjoy in the spacious property and grounds. We felt safe throughout, and appreciated the toys & games in outhouse, hammock, swing and playing on the grounds. Would definitely visit again!

A large main house (2 cal-king BRs, 1 BA upstairs; and 1 BR with 2 twin-beds and 1 BA downstairs) and a large guest house (1 queen BR and 1 BA) on a large, beautiful, gated property, made for a wonderful Thanksgiving 2021 stay for my wife, our son and daughter-in-law, and two grandkids 8 and 11. Both houses have full-size, well-equipped kitchens. The spacious grounds are beautiful, with a large, well-furnished patio and BBQ outside the guest house. Everyone enjoyed the pool table in the guest house, especially the grandkids. We spent two days visiting the many attractions in Monterey and Carmel (about a 20 to 25 minute drive), and another day sightseeing and hiking along the coast to Big Sur. We enjoyed staying in this beautiful, quiet, country setting while visiting Monterey, Carmel, and their environs. We highly recommend this wonderful VRBO property.

This is a great property for family to hang out and relax and use as a base for exploring Carmel, Monterey, and Santa Cruz. The guest house is especially well configured with a huge outdoor area with multiple seating areas and dining tables as well as a nice grill and outdoor kitchen set up. The pool table and hot tub were great and there were lots of little sitting areas around the property to sit and read. Both houses were very clean and well stocked. It really felt like a relaxing peaceful getaway. Marty was very responsive and informative. Hope to return again in the future.

We came here with 3 families total - 6 adults and 4 children 2 and under. The photos do not do this property justice! so beautiful and the mids had so much room to run around. Marty was so nice during check in and went over everything that we needed to know about the property. 20 min drive to Carmel and about 15 to Monterey. Hope to stay here again in the future.

This place was great for letting the kids run around and the adults hanging out. The kitchen in the guest house along with the grill was great for evening meals. The houses were clean dishes were well stocked. The outdoor grilling area/bar/counter space was very nice though due to general dust and debris needed wiped off but worked well for grilling fresh seafood procured on the pier in Monterey. The bathroom in the guest house is large with two sinks, the two in the house are farmhouse style bathrooms which are small with only one sink each and limited outlets but as expected. It was a limitation on our large group of two families but we worked around it. There are more tables and seating areas than we could possibly use and with the chilly but beautiful weather we spent most of our time outside on the many patio tables. When it did get sunny and warm there was plenty of shade around. We are used to Colorado weather so the daily fog was a different experience vs. the sun we have at home every day but the fact it stayed so cool was a nice retreat from the heat at home. This was a nice place to escape summer heat and great proximity to enjoy the food and atmosphere around Monterey.

We had a great stay at the property. There was space for our kids to play outside. The houses are beautiful and there was constantly different kinds of birds to watch above including woodpeckers, hawks and owls hooting at night. The outside areas were great for hanging out and there was lots of activities like beaches and hikes in the area. A great retreat from our working at home reality during COVID-19. We would definitely stay here again!

Three families with children, we were looking for a place near Monterrey to stay over during the Memorial weekend. This one was large enough and looked beautiful on vrbo. It seemed to be too good to be true. On our way to the house, we got a call from our friends who arrived first. Their voices sounded so excited over the phone. Their children were also talking loudly in the background - trying to describe the place. It was better then the pictures, it was more beautiful then they imagined! Wow! When we arrived it was dark already, the yard was lit with numerous little lights - it was magical. Indeed it was more beautiful and luxurious then I thought it would be. Several seating areas outdoor with large sofas and chairs. Large table outside for 10+ people where we ate. One day we went to a near by park for a hike. Marty recommended it - it was hard to find on the map (Toro park - 20 miles of hikes). Another day we spent in Monterrey. One evening we visited Tatum's Garden Playground (it's a huge brand new playground, the kids spent hours there. Highly recommend). And the last day we just wanted to stay home and enjoy!!! Marty, the owner is great - punctual, organized and very kind. The place has everything you'll need. Dreaming to come back!

My family and I stayed here when we came to area to celebrate my sons' graduation. This included a big barbecue party. It was perfect for us! Marty, the owner, met us there promptly and showed us all the gadgets and amenities. Which were considerable. He was very helpful and easy going. The houses were perfect and had everything we needed. Also very clean, comfortable and quiet, except during graduation party..... I jest... At any rate, I can't say enough about what a great place it was!!!! We are definitely planning a return trip! Also perfect location near Salinas and Monterey. Would recommend John Steinbeck Museum in Salinas and Aquarium in Monterey.

Property (5 out of 5)- We had our wedding and reception on this amazing property. There was so much natural charm about the whole property. We had about 110 people attend (owner was very accommodating). Everyone loved the property and had an amazing time. We had caterers on site, as well as a DJ and Band, and everything had plenty of space. The main house is so comfortable and accommodating and the "Guest" home is also amazing. The pictures do not do this beautiful property justice! It is much more beautiful in person! Worth every penny! Owner (5 out of 5)-- Owner (Marty) was a pleasure to deal with. You get the sense he is "Good People" immediately upon greeting. He is up front about the property, and he also open and flexible for changes or questions. He was prompt in every attempt to reach him. We dealt with him about 10 months prior and every exchange was cordial and timely. Great house, great owners! We will probably use this property in the future sometime for a family getaway. *Great location also!

Our family gathered from 3 different states, for a family wedding. This property accommodated our 3 generations beautifully. We held some big family dinners and the kids ran, explored and made up games. What a wonderful place to decompress and connect with loved ones. This property turned out to be a beautiful spot for our family reunion in the Monterey area. We had four families coming in from NW Florida, Indiana, and SoCal. The photos barely do it justice, the property is much more impressive in person. The large, gated property in a low-density residential area makes it feel very private, and the grounds are beautiful. The two houses easily accommodated our group of fourteen ranging in age from 3 to 75, though we did have the two teens sleeping on air mattresses. Property was clean, reasonably well stocked, in great shape, and shows the obvious pride in ownership. A couple of minor issues were quickly and pleasantly resolved with a simple phone call to the owner, who was also very accommodating with our late arrival. Lots of space for the young kids to run and play and for the teenagers (and parents) to lounge in the sun with a good book. The location in the foothills east of Monterey proved perfect, even when the coast was socked in with the typical CA summer gloom it was clear blue and warm during the day and blissfully cool at night. The guest house and outdoor kitchen area were so nice we stayed in and cooked every night - good for the local grocer, not so good for the local restaurants! Easy driving distance to Monterey/Pacific Grove/Carmel, some beautiful beaches (check out Ft. Ord Dunes), Moss Landing (Sanctuary Cruises for whale watching), Salinas. The location also made for easy day trips to Big Sur, Santa Cruz, Henry Cowell Redwoods, Pinnacles National Park, etc. Lots to do in a beautiful part of our great country! I would highly recommend this property to anyone with a big group seeking some space in the Monterey area. I don't think we could have done better.

Thank you Kim and Marty for allowing us to spend some family and friend time at your place in Salinas as we celebrated our son’s graduation. It was such a beautiful and idyllic setting, with the sounds of turkeys gobbling and roosters crowing a reminder that we weren’t at work or in the city anymore. The stars at night shining brightly on us as we enjoyed the evenings out in the patio while barbecuing, listening to a ball game or music via the sound system you have set up, all the while visiting with one another. Those of us who were night owls enjoyed the seclusion which allowed us to be noisy without much worry of disturbing the neighbors or those of us sleeping in one of your two houses. The setting was also ideal for those who wanted to enjoy quiet time in the early mornings with only the sounds of nature present to keep one company. In all we received many compliments on your place, with many asking when we could come back for future gatherings. I now believe the statement you made when we first met, that we had secured “the best place in Salinas”. Its closeness to Monterey and Laguna Seca makes it a perfect jump off point for those who want to mix relaxation with more active pursuits. The houses were as advertised and you were right, all we needed to bring was food, drinks and the right frame of mind. As a few of our guests commented, it didn’t feel like a rental but more like a home that any one of us was lucky enough to have and we were simply inviting our friends over.

We had a group of gents in Monterey for an adult/senior USTA tennis tournament. This property was perfect for us. The outdoor kitchen BBQ is fantastic and as we were mostly guys we pretty much grilled all of our meals. The sound systems are really great. And the hot tub was very handy for a few aching muscles. The property is very peaceful and big enough to accommodate a large group and terrific for entertaining. We plan to come back for a golf outing in the near future.

Friends, food, fun and a wonderful place to call our home away from home for the weekend. I was planning a surprise birthday party for my partner, we are lucky to have so many wonderful friends, however, it was challenging when trying to find a home big enough for everyone. This home was a gem to find. The property is spacious and private, there were enough beds for everyone and the house was well stocked with everything you would have in your own home. And the property is so much lovelier than what the pictures show, new pictures could do this listing some justice :) Marty, your home was wonderful and you made us feel welcome, thanks.

My daughter and her fiance stayed at this house with his family for a week, during which we held an afternoon wedding in the back yard. I had to plan the wedding from Texas and couldn't have done it without the owner's help: he provided pictures, drew a layout of the property and advised me on what glassware and audio equipment the property had (which is a lot!) - I emailed him at least once a week for a couple of months. He maintians the yard and plantings very carefully - the lawn was green and lush, there were flowers throughout the yard and several beautiful trees that provided shade that afternoon. The guest house has a wonderful large patio with tables, chairs and benches and an outdoor kitchen; we relaxed there after the ceremony with drinks and hors d'ouvres until we left for dinner in town. If it had been a larger group, the patio would have been a great place for a catered meal. It was just a lovely setting for an outdoor wedding (which we could never had done in Texas in July due to the heat) - the yard as a backdrop was gorgeous. The only con I would mention is that with people staying in both houses, it was hard for the bride to find private space to get ready. You might want to banish the men to a hotel room and let the ladies have all the bathrooms and mirrors.

This house was a fantastic find. We were a group of three families all with young kids and it was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had with little kids. The grounds are stunning and enjoyable for both kids and adults. The kids could run and play all day and they especially loved the playhouse in the yard, which quickly became their private clubhouse. The guest house and outdoor entertaining area were where the adults spent most of the time. The outdoor kitchen is an awesome place to cook and hang out. There were plenty of amenities in the kitchens to cook and entertain. The owners were very nice and really made us feel like they wanted us to enjoy our stay. We would come back here in a heartbeat! The only thing I might change is upgrading the bed in the second bedroom upstairs, but other than that we couldn't find anything we'd change. Thanks Marty and Kim for opening up your home to us and we hope to be back next year.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at this location. It was absolutely beautiful! We got married in Monterey, so it was nice to come back to this property where is was much warmer then at the beach. We set up the courtyard with long tables and beautiful flowers. The only negative is that we were not allowed to have a DJ (which would have been really nice!). However, Marty does have the full music setup with outdoors speakers and that worked out ok. Also, the grassy areas of the property are just gorgeous! Marty arranged for the grounds to be manicured right before the wedding, so the property was just stunning. The best part is the parking! This property has a LOT of space for cars! It was just amazing! Marty is a gem in the hills! He was extremely patient and helpful with our arrangements and had the most wonderful advice and suggestions. We hope to celebrate many anniversaries her,e if they'll have us. We will forever hold this home and Marty and Kim in a special place in our hearts!

This home was the perfect place for our family vacation and the hosts were so kind to us. We loved grilling and eating on the patio and the guest house was a great place to gather and play pool and enjoy the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to visit it again some day.
