New to the home, in response to popular demand, are WiFi and air-conditioning.
This home sleeps 14 comfortably with six bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Included are: downstairs master bedroom with full bath, fireplace, king size bed, and walk in closet; downstairs guest bedroom with full bath and queen size bed; two upstairs bedrooms with queen beds; one upstairs bedroom with two twin beds; upstairs dormitory with four beds. The upstairs also includes two full baths, and a family game and exercise room with television.
The downstairs layout is open. There is an expansive kitchen complete with all modern amenities (two ovens), which leads to a dining area, which leads to a living room with a large brick fireplace. Also included downstairs is a pantry room with washer and dryer and second refrigerator, a separate library and television room with satellite reception, a 1/2 bath for guests, and a warm storage area for coats, boots and winter gear.
For the spring through fall months, there is a large screened in porch with separate dining and sitting areas.
There's more. For the warmer months there is an in-ground pool, complete with patio and pool house that includes a changing room, and outdoor shower. Also, there is an outdoor basketball court. A two car garage is attached to the main house, separated by a cold mud room.
Greensboro is in the center of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, rich with cultural activities and Vermont charm. Within miles, in every direction, there are countless hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling trails. There are numerous lakes to fish and swim, and nearby Barr Hill preserve offers spectacular views of both the Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire and welcomes picnickers. Antique stores can be found in every town.
Burlington is 1 1/4 hrs away; Montpelier is only a 40 minute drive. Downhill skiing at Stowe or Jay Peak is 1 hour away. The hub of Vermont's local food movement is here, with several organic farmers and cheese makers offering their produce at local food markets and outdoor stands. And, of course, all can be found and had at Willey's General Store in Greensboro.
The Cork and Fork and Positive Pie restaurants in Hardwick (minutes away) offer some of Vermont's finest dining, and the new Front Seat Coffee shop in Hardwick is a must stop for your morning coffee and pastry.
Summer months offer a Sunday night concert series on Caspian Lake, and family fun at Circus Smirkus. There is also golf and tennis, open to guests, at the Green Mountain Country Club in Greensboro.
And for the beer lovers, be sure to visit the nationally recognized, and award winning, Hill Farmstead Brewery in Greensboro, only 10-15 minutes away.
