1st Class Rentals - Munson Manor III - 5 Bedroom 2 Bathroom House

The place was perfect … clean… affordable and super close to the fields as well as Dunkin a gas station and a super cute deli across the street The owner let us in early with no hesitation!

This is the perfect location to travel back and forth to ASV. The house had plenty of room for the 6 of us with the 1st floor room and bathroom perfect for my elderly parents. Though this house is 100 years old and not perfect, it was updated to today’s standards. Extra thanks to Dave, who let us check in a little early (after red eye flights) to get refreshed and settled before opening ceremonies.

The location of this place was ideal. Easy to get to the park and back especially with checking on pet or dodging the heat. It’s literally 1/2 mile to lot F (busy days) and essentially 3/4 to lot E or 1 mile to main entrance. Many restaurants are within walking distance — Dunkin or Muddy Water for morning coffee, DQ for ice cream after hot ballpark day and Sloans for dinner. The house is clean and basic. AC worked very well for the unseasonably hot days. It’s small but manageable. Most of the time, we were at the fields and only needed a place to cool off and sleep. Dave was very responsive and an excellent resource. It was a good stay.

We rented the house since our son was scheduled to play baseball for the week at All-Star Village. The owner provided detailed communication before our stay and was attentive to our questions. The location of the house was extremely convenient to Cooperstown All-Star Village (less than 5 minutes). The house itself had five bedrooms which allowed us to spread out for sleeping arrangements. However, we were very disappointed by the cleanliness of the house. I’m not sure if the cleaning crew failed to show up, but we had to mop the kitchen and clean the bathroom ourselves. (Example: the no-slip bathtub mat was still in the bathtub with a wad of hair under it.) When wiping up some spilled water in the living room area, it was obvious that the floor had not been cleaned recently as it turned the towel dark with dirt. The carpet upstairs is in serious need of replacement, and the sofa needs to be steam-cleaned. Clean towels were ready and all necessary kitchen needs were available (toaster would have been nice). Overall, once we got the house cleaned up, it was acceptable and was very close to the fields.
