Tucked away in the scenic woods of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Wolf River Retreat offers the perfect getaway for families, couples, or friends seeking tranquility, privacy, and outdoor adventure. Nestled alongside the serene Wolf River and surrounded by lush greenery, this spacious four-bedroom cabin comfortably accommodates up to 8 adults, making it ideal for both family vacations and group getaways.
Start your mornings with a hot cup of coffee on the large, covered deck enjoying the soothing sounds of the river. Spend your days enjoying the outdoors — the expansive lot includes a fire pit for evening s’mores and storytelling, as well as a single frisbee golf station for a bit of fun. The circular driveway and extra boat/trailer parking make it easy to bring along your watercraft or outdoor gear.
Inside, the cabin is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully decorated. High ceilings in the family room, large windows, and ant fill the space with natural light, while cozy furnishings create the perfect spot to curl up with a book, watch a movie, or play games with loved ones. Each of the four bedrooms is designed for comfort and relaxation, giving everyone a cozy space to unwind.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals during your stay, whether it’s a hearty breakfast before a day at the lake or burgers on the park-style grill.
When you're ready to explore, you’re just a short drive from the crystal-clear waters of Dale Hollow Lake, where you can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, and more. Sunset Marina is only 10 miles away, and Eagle Cove Marina is 17 miles, both offering boat rentals and lake access. Downtown Byrdstown is also just 8–10 miles away for any essentials or local charm.

Beautiful property. Plenty of parking for vehicles or boat trailers. Plenty of seating on the deck and by the fire pit. The beds were comfortable. Everyone who went on the trip loved the property and we would definitely stay there again. It’s only about 20 minutes from Sunset marina, but I would recommend renting dockage at the marina If you are bringing a boat. The road to and from the marina is pretty curvy.

We honestly cannot say enough good things about this stay.The setting and location is SO picturesque, beautiful, peaceful, and serene.The owner provided excellent communication, and arranged to have firewood delivered for extensive firepit usage.The stars are amazing at night, and the river provides wonderful scenery, sounds, wildlife, and fishing. We saw multiple deer drinking from the river, right outside the cabin multiple mornings. The firepit location overlooking the river is fantastic, and makes for wonderful mornings and evenings, just relaxing and listening to the sounds of the river.The owner also provided great recommendations for hiking in the surrounding area, and the hikes/trails were really neat and scenic.Cell coverage is limited in this area if you venture out (nothing to do with owner/property AT ALL though), so just know you might need a stand-alone GPS unit. The cabin/owner does provide excellent Wi-Fi and internet service while on the property. If you want to get off the grid, relax, and enjoy beautiful wilderness, while having privacy and seclusion, this is the place for you.We cannot recommend this place enough! A+
