Let our 2nd home be your 2nd home! Vacation in the beautiful islands of Hawaii! Our quiet little complex consists of only 48 units on over 4 acres of tropical paradise! From our ground floor unit you can sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views of the sun setting over the golf course and ocean, or the whales & dolphins playing in the bay. Our unit is fully equipped from the kitchen, the BBQ, right down to the beach chairs & snorkel gear!

We are also located within 1 mile to the best snorkel beach in the Islands - Kahalu'u Beach and walking distance to near by shopping, restaurants and even a movie theater. Or you can stay and enjoy the nice pool and sunning area at the complex.

We have a King bed in our Master suite with a jetted tub. A Separate sleeping area consists of a queen-size Murphy wall bed. There are 2 TV's, DVD player, and a CD player. Smoking is not allowed inside and a small pet may be acceptable.

We loved this place! The lanai is where we spent 95% of our onsite time, other than sleeping. Lush landscaping and unbeatable sunsets! Also great spot to enjoy morning coffee. Pool is nice, the place is clean, and the beds comfortable. What more could you want?!

Our stay at this VRBO in Hawaii was amazing! The views from the lanai were absolutely gorgeous, with stunning sunsets and a beautiful ocean view that we enjoyed every day. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Denise, the host, was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. She answered all our questions quickly and made sure everything went smoothly for us. If you’re looking for a peaceful place with fantastic views and a wonderful host, this is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The location was just perfect for all the things we did and the setting on the golf course looking out at the ocean was beautiful. We were on the go a lot but found ourselves lingering longer and longer on the lanai with either our morning coffee or evening cocktails. The king size bed was comfortable and there are two full bathrooms in the unit. We have stayed in many VRBO units and we found this one to be exceptionally well stocked. The kitchen has spices, staples, paper towel, plastic wrap and any cooking utensil you might need. It was wonderful to have a washer and dryer in the unit. The pool is on the small size but a real bonus on a hot day. There are lots of windows and fans so we were very comfortable without a/c. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are blessed enough to be able to come back to Hawaii!

Our family spent a relaxing vacation here. Quiet, Cozy, Clean and Spacious home base to explore the west side of Big Island. Denise was accommodating and let us check out later on our last day. Mahalo

Our Condo was spacious with a beautiful view from the Lanai. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishware, utensils and spices galore! Laundry soap provided by past guests. The owner had a guestbook which provided a wealth of information from past guests. (We signed it too!) No A/C but plenty of ceiling fans kept us comfy. Nice pool and golf course on site. Highly recommend!

The location is good with beautiful views of the sunset. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning. I wish that had been stated in the listing because it was very hot and humid. There were also quite a few dead roaches and worms and a few live roaches we disposed of. Also, there were no beach chairs or snorkel gear as stated in the listing. We couldn't take the heat. We ended up staying only 2 nights and completed our vacation at the Outrigger resort right next door.

Bugs! There was a huge issue with bugs in this condo. The first night a cockroach crawled out from under the pillow onto my arm. The pest control was scheduled to come the following day but did not help. Lots of flying cockroaches and gnats, the entire week of our stay! We have stayed in Hawaii many times and have never experienced this kind of discomfort. The owner was apologetic and sent a $100 gift card as a credit for our uncomfortable stay. While this was nice, I much rather would have had an accurate description of the condo before. This was the absolute worst part of our Hawaiian vacation.

I’m sorry to leave a review like this but we did not feel at home. The condo itself was great inside. Well stocked, comfortable, nice mattresses, furnishing, washer/dryer, and layout. We enjoyed our gecko friend too and he enjoyed a slice of papaya on the window sill. That’s about where the good ended. This condo is directly next to the property manager, who actually seemed to be the nicest person we came across on the property. But it would have been nice to know before paying. It would have also been good to know that jumping in the pool and using floaties of any kind, including kickboards, are absolutely prohibited. You will be immediately reprimanded by an old resident, probably a board member, and threatened to be kicked out. And we are good people. My kids are rule followers and good swimmers but are ages 4 and 6 and have only ever known to jump in a pool so they forgot a couple times whilst in the midst of having fun. I overheard others complaining about the enforcement of the strict rule too. I purposely booked this condo because it was on the ground floor and gave my kids the opportunity to run around the grass and be free and enjoy themselves when we had down time. But instead, we always felt like we were walking on egg shells, trying not to disturb anyone, keep voices down, not making too much smoke in the BBQ, and basically not being seen or heard to not disturb any of the crotchety old residents. There was no aloha spirit here. Just retired mainland transplants. We really felt unwelcome. We even spent more money to stay a night at the Outrigger for a vacation from our vacation so we didn’t feel so confined & restricted and could actually enjoy ourselves. It was so nice to see other families and locals having a great time. Ok, but besides all that, yes the large windows, lanai, and view was beautiful. This place is probably perfect for a couple seeking a quiet tropical getaway. Saw many sunsets eating dinner outside, watching the geckos run around, many different tropical birds, and resident turkeys… whilst also being bitten alive by mosquitos. Definitely not recommended for families. Thank you Denise for the nice interior, amenities, and quick communication. A list of rental home instructions would be helpful. Such as filling out parking pass upon arrival (the property manager had to leave one on our windshield) and emphasizing strict complex rules. Yes, I saw random notes posted around the place, but a master list is helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a very quiet and peaceful place. We spent our time on the lanai soaking up the view and our toddler was able to play out in the grass and explore. We would definitely come back and do it again!

Great location good parking fantastic views from the lanai and excellent value for money. We had a great stay and enjoyed our week in this property. Breakfast on the lanai along with the birds and other wildlife is a great way to start your day. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with two bathrooms, the king bed is very comfortable and the linens and towels are fine. Kitchen is well stocked lots of utensils for self catering along with a BBQ-Grill. TV’s in both the lounge and bedroom and excellent wi-fi. Additional beach gear, including towels, snorkel mask flippers, fishing equipment, beach chairs, boogie boards was a real bonus.

And every day and evening the neighborhood chicken/pheasant came by for treats. liked watching the gecko's. the only one i can see is on my insurance card. Nice and clean. all the amenities. If you want a slice of heaven, Denise's condo is the place! My husband and I enjoyed our stay and Denise has addressed all your wants and needs, not to mention her attention to detail. The view/lanai are just beautiful and to wake up every morning to the sound of birds chirping was wonderful! coffee on the lanai is a must to begin your day and you may even experience a few friends of the animal variety. We totally enjoyed our 3 weeks in this condo. Spent the majority of our time on the lanai enjoying the views. Saw many whales and loved the wildlife. We fed the birds oatmeal and the goldfinches, red caps, doves, cardinals and others with no names were fun to watch. Two times we were visited by a pair of pheasants that came right to our door! Saw the mongoose that lives in the rock pile. This condo was well stocked and even had some condiments in the fridge for our use. Made use of the washer and dryer several times. The bedroom has a very comfortable king bed. Bring earplugs if early noise bothers you because being on a golf course means early mornings for the maintenance crews! All in all a wonderful stay...Mahalo for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise!

Great location

This was a great little condo near Kona, close to several beaches with great snorkeling (our favorites were Manini Beach, Kahalu’u, and Two Step). You can watch the sunset from the Linai everyday. Wake up to chirping birds in the morning. Sleeps 4, kitchen well stocked and had a few basic groceries when we arrived. A basket full of shampoo and sunscreen left by other guests helped keep us well stocked without spending a ton. The house also had boogie boards, sand toys, and some snorkel equipment for use. Overall, very cost effective and comfortable.

We enjoyed our home in Kona at Denise's condo. First, the location is excellent. With the Kona Country Club in your back yard and the ocean beyond that. This condo at Keauhou Akahi is perfectly located. It's at the southern end of Alii Drive so it's more quiet than the north end of Alii Drive. But all the shops and restaurants in Kona are a very short drive. The best of both worlds. The condo itself it very comfortable and well stocked. The beach chairs and beach gear is provided. The grill on the patio gives you dinner options. And the pool at Keauhou Akahi is steps away from the condo. We highly recommend this condo for your home away from home in Kona. Aloha. Bob & Kori

Over the years I've rented a lot of places on both VRBO and AirBnB, and this one is probably the best appointed of them all. It's the little things that make a difference for me such as a coffee grinder. I bring a hand grinder, because rental places never have them. This place had 2 electric grinders. It also had anything you could possibly need for the beach: masks, fins, boogie boards - you name it. The sunset views off of the lanai are great, and the neighbors are friendly. It's a nice walk down to the Wednesday market at the Sheraton or to the old battle site up the road. The biggest demerit is noise. There is traffic noise from Alii Drive that dies off later at night, and for some bizarre reason on some days the golf course begins their mowing in the dark at 5 a.m. My gf slept through most of it, and I used ear plugs. I live in a real quiet place, so perhaps my tolerance is lower than some others.
