About this apartment rental
The apartment Casa Serena, one of three residential units that can be rented in the Podere Follona estate, has a beautiful large terrace directly under the arcades.
Follona is idyllically situated in the countryside between Caldana and Vetulonia. The 360 ° beautiful view is unique. Perfect for a vacation to switch off from everyday life.
Since part of the house is also used privately and Podere Follona is also a special place for our family, it is important for us that our guests feel just as comfortable, and so we have furnished each apartment generously and with charm.
Each apartment is fully equipped and with a large private terrace.
Swimming pool and the associated terrace is accessible to everyone.
Ideal for family vacation, relaxing vacation, culture, sightseeing, ocean vacation, excursions, beach vacation, educational trips, near the sea.
An unpaved, approx. 2km long gravel road leads to the house.
You can explore the surrounding area on foot or by mountain bike, such as walking along a river, through newly planted olive groves, enjoying the morning or evening mood and just listening to nature.
By car there are many small typical Tuscan towns to reach. Many beautiful wineries in the area are also worth a visit.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Casa Lena in der Landvilla Follona sehr genossen! Die Unterkunft, die Umgebung und die Ausstattung sind grandios! Wir kommen wieder! Castiglione ist in ca. 20 Autominuten erreichbar und bietet eine tolle Altstadt und wundervolle lange Sandstrände. Die Bergdörfer wie Caldana,Tirli und Vetulonia, die man vom Landgut aus gut erreichbar kann - z. B. per Mountainbike oder per pedes - sind ursprünglich und pittoresk. Ganz herzlichen Dank an dieser Stelle an Familie Thomas und Schwanhäusser für die unzähligen Tipps und tolle Betreuung!

Wie waren im Mai/Juni 2017 für drei Wochen Gäste in der Casa Serena. Das Anwesen liegt auf einem Hügel und bietet einen fantastischen Blick auf die schöne Umgebung. Unsere Tage begannen mit einem Frühstück auf der sehr gemütlichen überdachten Terrasse und endeten eben dort mit einem Glas Rotwein. Im Umkreis von 100 km findet man viele sehenswerte Orte, wie z.B. Montalcino, Massa Marittima, Pitigliano oder Populonia. Auch ein Besuch in der Maremma und die Besichtigung eines der unzähligen Weingüter sind ein Muss. Den sehr attraktiven Badeort Castiglione della Pescaia erreicht man mit dem Auto in 20 Minuten. Im Nachbarort Grilli (10 Minuten) findet man sowohl einen kleinen Supermarkt als auch eine gemütliche und sehr preiswerte Osteria. Faule Tage haben wir am schönen Pool des Anwesens verbracht. Der Urlaub in der Casa Serena hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir noch vor Ort für das kommende Jahr reserviert haben. Vielen Dank an Ponke Thomas und Ihre Familie für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft !

Nach der Hektik des Arbeitsalltags ist die FEWO und die Umgebung eine Wohltat gewesen. Sie liegt etwas abgelegen und ein PKW ist unbedingt notwendig.
Die Fewo ist mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet. Der Pool ist sehr schön und von dort hat man eine fantastische Aussicht auf die wunderschöne Umgebung.
Herzlichen Dank an Ponke und ihrer Familie für die Freundlichkeit und der Umsorgung mit kleinen Geschichten und Ausflugsempfehlungen und dem köstlichen hauseigenen Olivenöl.
Toller Urlaub, sehr zu empfehlen.
