Notre-dame de Paris View, Family Penthouse

This property was at a great location and was very much the Paris lifestyle! Plenty of room for the five of us. Beautifully decorated though the apartment doesn’t exactly match the online photos anymore. The apartment is full of the owners belongings so we were a bit nervous about using something we shouldn’t like the wonderful Jurassic coffee maker! The hot water had to be turned on at a switch, and gave great hot water, but also heated up the apartment. There were two air conditioners, one one the salon and one in one of the bedrooms. One more in the largest bedroom would have helped considering the sweltering heat in Paris at the time. Great views.

We are a family of 5, which can be a challenge to find hotel accommodations in big cities. This apartment was ideal for us, and it also gave us the opportunity to experience a real Paris home, which is pretty different than living in the suburbs in the US. We loved it. We got caught in the generational heat wave, but Sid provided two AC units which made things so much more comfortable.A couple notes: the unit is on the 5th floor with an incredible balcony that has views of Norte Dame. There is an elevator but you must take the stairs one floor to reach it. This was fine.There are stores and restaurants everywhere nearby, and there is a supermarket right around the corner. It's a dynamic and fabulous neighborhood in walking distance from the Louvre and Notre Dame among others. The metro is nearby for everything else, and hauling our suitcases from the metro to the building was not difficult, other than dealing with some stairs along the way.We loved it and would stay again.

Just as advertised - clean, spacious, 3 balconies and air con (not in every room but it did the trick). Great location right in the middle of the Marais! Highly recommend!

Great location, easy walk to all sites and restaurants. Alex/Sid Host was very responsive. House was easy to enter w provided codes, elevator available if you choose not to use stairsThe house has great reviews and we agree with most, the reviews did not include the following which we felt is important to note: Entry, if entering in the dark make sure to use your phone flashlight, all light turns off after @ 1 min. Difficult to climb stairs in dark. House: I did not completely read the details of the house and missed an important detail.The house is used by the family and filled with owners property. There was no empty drawers nor closets to put away clothes, we just lived out of our suit cases for two days. Refrigerator and freezer were filled w food. We were sharing the home with the owner and felt like a visitor in the home not a renter of the property. We are use to renting properties that are free from property owners "stuff" allowing full use of the home. Overall, the location and host was great.
