Beautiful home with great view of ocean. Six adults and 3 kids, our family had a wonderful time! Many trips booked through Vrbo but have never had a more attentive host as Gordon.

Location on the Gulf was primo. Private pool was one of the best features. It was a pretty pool with great landscaping. Large kitchen. The owner was a great communicator and responsive to all of our questions.

We have vacationed at The Plantation for many years, as it’s our favorite place to visit. This property had cleanliness issues and roach issues upon arrival. Mr. Stark offered to send housekeeping back but by then, we already had swept, vacuumed, thrown sheets and towels in dryer to finish drying, and wiped down the kitchen. He said the house was sprayed for bugs monthly but offered to send service back out. We didn’t want an interruption of our vacation and if it was “just sprayed,” what was the point? He asked me to send pictures. I sent pictures of roaches, food, dirt, and hairballs in the floor, and more.
When I initially booked months ago, I saw where pets were allowed but I didn’t see where to mark that we were bringing pets. All the rentals before, this was listed next to how many adults/children to include. Then it was calculated into total. So I accidentally failed to pay pet deposit. Mr. Stark called me today, 3 days after getting back from vacation, telling me I owe $500 for the pet fee. I asked for a discount since we had to clean the house. He refused. Minutes later, he sent me an email saying that if I give him a 5 star review, then I can pay only $400 and he would give me 5% off my next stay. Thanks for that but we won’t be returning.
So here is your 5 star review, Mr. Stark, and your $400 check for the pet fee is in the mail. Again, my mistake, I own that.
