My penthouse is located in Playacar Phase I which is the PREMIER location in all of Playa del Carmen as it's in a quiet, low density gated neighborhood with private million dollar estates. It's is a 12 minute walk from our complex to 5th Avenue shops/restaurants/bars and the ferry dock.
My penthouse has million-dollar views and you can throw a rock into the ocean from the balcony! This condo and complex is beachfront. You are not only renting from an owner, but a retired travel agent!
If the idea of a small beachfront resort, a short stroll (12-15 min) on the beach into town to try a new restaurant and having a private driver greet you at Cancun airport with an icy cold beer waiting for you appeals to you, look no further, you can stop your search! My beachfront penthouse offers ALL of this and more:
1) 24 hour security in gated community and on the resort grounds with 2-3 times the size of beachfront as other resorts and it's BOUTIQUE, just 50 units total!!!
2) Swim up pool bar with waiters serving you around the pool (you can also BYO but no glass containers)
3) Free use of kayaks, Hobie Cats, bocce ball, bikes and volleyball, etc. See Lifeguard for arranging these activities
4) Fitness center & Spa for massage and facials
5) Infinity Pool, children's pool and warm Jacuzzi
6) WiFi high speed Starlink satellite!
7) Thermostat controlled AC & ceiling fans throughout the condo?
8) Fisherman's Village is a QUIET resort in a quiet gated community! Sure you can opt to stay 'downtown' in a newer much smaller condo or all inclusive, but don't forget to pack your ears plugs....you'll be hearing loud music, rowdy drunks, and party-goers till the wee hours of the morning.
9) On-site parking free for guests (no rental car? No problem...taxis and the IN DRIVE app will get you around.
10) Optional all inclusive plan $98/ pp per day including unlimited alcoholic drinks, 3 meals a day and snacks. Otherwise our a la carte menu prices is similar to Chili's in the USA.
11) Our gated community does not allow "vendors" on the beach at all, so you can relax knowing you won't be hassled to buy blankets, massages, jewelry, jet skiing, etc like you will get on the beaches "in town".

Fisherman's Village in the private gated community of Playacar, right next to the town of Playa del Carmen. It's perfect for two couples with a king and a split-king in the 2nd bedroom OR a family because the split king can also be two twin beds.
Fisherman's Village is a family-friendly beachfront condominium complex with just 55 units in the quiet coastal community of Playacar just a 10 minute walk to Playa del Carmen. Fisherman's Village is known to be a nice quality resort/condo complex in the entire Yucatan Peninsula for it's elegance, fine service, and resort-like amenities such as a full service restaurant, room service, swim-up pool bar, full sized pool and a children's pool, water sports, jacuzzis for the complex, air conditioned gym, Spa services such as massages and facials.
This unit has travertine flooring, slab marble counter-tops, central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout.
The entire upper floor is the Master Suite with huge picture windows out to the Sea. The bottom level features 2nd bedroom, bath, kitchen, living, half bath and dining areas and a large balcony overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. At night you can stand on any of the units balconies and see the twinkling lights of Cozumel across the Caribbean.
Free for all guest's use at Fisherman's Village are the bicycles (please let me know if BIKES are a huge thing for you before booking), kayaks, and Hobie cats! Don't know how to sail? We have an onsiactivitiestes director that can help you! It's a fabulous place for adults and kids alike.
Playa Del Carmen is located just 50 minutes South of Cancun and offers the same powdery white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping-- without crowds of wild Spring Break partiers and towering hotels. In fact, Playa has a building height restriction to a maximum of 3 stories!
Fisherman's Village is just a 15 minute walk along quiet cobblestone roads or the beach to the town of Playa del Carmen. Also within a short walk is the 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, the local aviary, and the ferry that takes you over to Cozumel. Most guests do not rent a car during their stay except days they wish to explore other areas of the Yucatan. If you plan on lounging on the beach, shopping and eating out in Playa del Carmen, maybe taking the ferry to Cozumel one day-- you may not want a car the entire time. We can recommend reliable airport transportation to and from Cancun International to Fisherman's Village.

Everything met and exceeded expectations. Beautiful townhouse, well furnished, in a fabulous setting. Quiet and uncrowded beach but a short walk into town. The views from the unit are spectacular and the property manager, Gabe, is very responsive and so helpful with everything from recommendations to setting up side trips. One day he took my wife and me to Chichen Itza and his wife and daughter took us out to dinner one night to one of his favorite restaurants. The owner, Pamela, is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this property.

Truly an outstanding choice to vacation! Pamela's penthouse was perfect! Our concierge contact Gabe was super friendly, helpful, and responsive. We got a ride from him on return to the airport for our departure, very great guy! The penthouse was wonderfully clean upon our arrival, thanks to Gabby! We really had everything we needed there on site. The resort staff were all very personable and polite. Dinner at the resort restaurant is delicious, the menu changes nightly so that's a cool switch up. Breakfast and lunch are great too! If we didn't want to eat on site, the resort is a perfect location for walking to the paseo and local restaurants scene, you can easily get a taxi for travels a bit further away. Strolling up and down the beach is lovely. The views are priceless!Overall would recommend Pamela's place to anyone looking to have a phenomenal vacation experience.

Pros: The view from the Condo, the building it’s self has a nice pool & hot tub, in a beautiful private neighborhood, walking distance to the action/ferry area, comfy beds (beware it’s 1 king bed & 2 twin beds), nice balcony area, & cold AC.
Cons: Communication could use improvement, I received a PDF outlining everything pertaining to the condo rental (which 90% isn’t listed on here) after asking how to check in to the condo. The PDF was misguiding as it wasn’t for the unit we were staying in. To check in you will have to put a CC on file with a hold of almost $300 on it. We were taken to our unit on the 3rd floor, when we got there we realized we had no key. When I asked for the key at the front desk they told me I had to contact the property manager (PM) to get the code. After messaging the PM through WhatsApp I got the code to the door. This key info should have been provided in the PDF, but it wasn’t. We were on our own after this. I say this because since we aren’t part of the resort & are a part of the condos we were denied a lot of services. Examples: We requested new towels on the 3rd night of staying there but the condo staff & the PM told us no. So we had to use the same towels all week. We asked if we could wash the child that we had and were also told we couldn’t do that. The towels are super thin btw & not of good quality. The currency Exchange was not available to us. We couldn’t order maid service. (In the PDF it states to set up the maid service at check-in, we didn’t do this as we received the PDF late.) To use the bikes was like asking to borrow a car almost. No one would check us out a bike as the activity coordinator wasn’t available at 11 AM. The cleanliness of the condo was also questionable. There was black mold in the showers, The shower curtains are also dirty at the bottom with that orangey film, the 5 gallon water jug that is provided had black mold on the pump for it, and some of the kitchen utensils and cutting boards had black mold. The skirting on the king size bed was really disgusting.
The place is comfortable, and beautiful, but the communication from the condo staff & PM was really difficult and frustrating plus the cleanliness of the condo was questionable. I did not talk to the owner much as she states she was traveling during this time. Her PM was hardly of any use to us during our stay.
