About this cottage rental
Sleeps 5 - This lovely detached house is situated in the heart of the historic University town of St Andrews. Within a five-minute walk of the local amenities including the several artisan shops and boutiques the town has to offer, it is also within easy walking distance of the 7 golf courses managed by the St Andrews Links Trust. The house is located on Argyle Street, a few minutes walk from the historic Westport arch which leads onto South Street (one of the three main thoroughfares in the town of St Andrews). It is arranged over two floors - the main living accommodation is on the ground floor while the 3 bedrooms are all on the first. There is a large conservatory at the back of the house which overlooks the patio garden area - there is a table with seating for 6, making it the perfect spot for an al fresco evening meal in the hazy Scottish sun. The house has been refurbished and is decorated to a high standard throughout with beautiful white plantation wooden shutters in all the rooms to the front of the house.

This is a fantastic house. Very well equipped. Great location to everything in town. A big shout out to Keith at Whey Pat Bar down the street. Lovely friendly people everywhere

We enjoyed our 2-week stay in Kinbrae Golf House. As Americans, whenever we visit the U.K. (this was our 4th extended stay in St. Andrews), there are things--like the heating system and the combination washer-dryer--that we have to get used to again. But this house is conveniently located and generally well-maintained (the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced, which we were told is on the agenda). It can accommodate five adults pretty comfortably, as long as no one minds sharing rather small bathing and toilet facilities. (Considering the age of the house, the way these facilities have been worked in is ingenious.)

The cottage location was perfect the size worked well. The yard and sun room were great. Everything was clean and well maintained. A lovely cottage for a family vacation. To be excellent I would recommend that the amenities could be improved upon. There was a small tv in corner of living room this could use an update. Bathroom would benefit from starter kit of soap and small shampoo for guests for their first day. Since housekeeping is coming between guests, we should not have to strip beds.
