About this house rental
Welcome to The Pink House.
Sitting atop 4 acres, this three story home is set up for family and friends to get together and enjoy the weekend, holidays or a long weeks get away. The main living area is an open concept with a big farm house dining table for all your meals and card games. The home comes with all kitchen accessories and linens. ***updated appliances and havent updated the pictures yet***. The back porch has spectacular views of Little Beaver Creek on Lake Hartwell and only minutes from Portman Marina. Clemson is only 19 miles or 28 minutes from here and with the house accommodating up to 16 people, this would be the perfect place to host a football weekend. Guests are more than welcome to bring a boat. Apple Island landing is right around the corner as is Broyles. The basement has two sets of bunk beds with its own full bathroom. The main level has the master suite off the living room with a king bed and its own full bathroom. ***updated shower and tile but no updated photos yet***. The third floor has 3 bedrooms with a combination of a queen bed, king bed, two single beds and two double beds. Also two full bathrooms as well. There is a total of 11 beds that sleeps 16 heads comfortably. A few disclosures: The house will be equipped with one set of toilet paper and paper towels upon arrival but due to bad apples in the past we don’t keep a supply on hand. Guests will need to purchase extra if needed. Soap and shampoo is also not provided as well as any laundry suplies. Please bring your own or purchase. Lake levels are beyond our control. Sometimes the water is up beyond the catwalk due to heavy rain fall and sometimes it’s a bit lower due to the Corps of Engineers needs. We try our best to “chase” the levels but it’s hard to keep up sometimes. It is also beyond our control on the yard crew. They come every two weeks and they may areive while on your stay. Early check ins and late checkouts are available for an additional charge and when the schedule permits it. We try and accommodate the best we can.

We loved pur stay. Right on the lake. Private. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Enjoyed our stay very much.

We loved our trip. There were some recommendations we had for improvements regarding the cleanliness, supplies, and upkeep, but the host was very receptive to feedback and so we are confident it will be better for future guests. This is not a fancy house, but it was comfortable and roomy for our large family get together.

The property was good. The property accommodated all of our guests plenty of room to sleep. We were not on top of each other. It was a quiet. Minor issues the property clearly had not really been deep cleaned. Alot of spiderwebs throughout the property. there was mold in one of the bathrooms and leftover soap rements in the bathroom. All of the toilets constantly run you had to adjust seals after every flush. Kitchen sink has a leak on the garbage disposal side. Notified manager did not come and fix it. We just only used the one side. Also difficult reaching the host prior to arrival only received the property code hours before we arrived and that was only due to me reaching out

Overall, the house was a good size for our group and met our basic space needs, but our stay had a few hiccups.When we arrived, the property had not been cleaned from the previous guest. To the host's credit, they were responsive when contacted and quickly sent someone to clean. However, to get unpacked and settled, we ended up having to clean the counters and refrigerator ourselves so we could store our food.The house itself could use some updating, and the dock is in fairly rough shape and needs attention. Also, note that the owner's boats are stored at the property—if you are planning to bring your own boat, I'd recommend checking with the host beforehand to make sure there is enough space to park or launch it.Finally, we’d suggest stocking the kitchen with more silverware; with a full group, we found ourselves constantly having to wash utensils between meals.It’s a functional space with potential, but a few updates and better attention to turnover cleaning would make a big difference for future guests.
