About this villa rental
Fonte al Vento is a detached villa wisely set in a large property against a breathtaking landscape that includes an additional accommodation facilities. Each one has its own private garden, swimming pool and spaces for exclusive use to completely respect the privacy of our guests.
The Villa is placed in the beautiful and striking Tuscan countryside, surrounded by olive trees and vineyard: the perfect setting to indulge in the colours and scents of our valley in an atmosphere of complete relaxation and comfort.
The old town centre of the wonderful and famous city of Cortona, just 400 mt far, is easily reachable through a few minutes of a pleasant scenic walk.
The villa has been recently built with the use of natural materials locally sourced, such as Senese travertine, the stone from Cortona and the Tuscan woods. It is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the modern comforts but accordingly with the Tuscan tradition. It is composed of 4 suites with wonderful views and with their own private bathrooms, all equipped with modern and valued gears, air conditioning and wellness facilities that will project you to exclusive and customized mini spa.
The Suites:
Levante Suite: generous size, with three frontages over the Val di Chiana, Jacuzzi and whirlpool shower
Ponente Suite: the largest suite, unique panoramic views over the valley, bathroom with whirlpool shower and Jacuzzi
Maestrale Suite: the most intimate, it overlooks our St. Egidio Mountain and the stunning Monastery of St. Francis, bathroom with whirlpool shower
Scirocco Suite: generous size, with frontage over the historical Church of Santa Maria Nuova, direct access to the terrace, facing the Val di Chiana, bathroom with bathtub and Turkish bath room.
The unit is completed by a spacious Lounge area (with bucket seats, a charming fireplace, a big smart Tv, a design pool table and a cozy toilet), a modern and fully equipped kitchen and a dining room where to immerse into a bath of light and into a wonderful historical and bucolic charm

Pretty perfect villa for out family of 5. Lots of room to spread out. If the weathers not good the indoor seating area would not cater that well for full occupancy but not an issue for us. We enjoyed a family cooking lesson and meal at the villa.

My family and I spent a week in Cortona at the Villa of Silvia and Francesco. Their home is absolutely lovely. Very modern with all the comforts one could ask for. The view and especially sunset from their home is outstanding. Best of all is Silvia and Francesco. Silvia provided us with restaurants to enjoy, places to visit and set up tours at a winery and cheese farm. All of which we tried and loved. Francesco cooked dinner for 7 of us 1 night and it was spectacular. I would venture to say that it was the best meal of the 3 weeks we stayed in Italy. His Pici is to die for. Although it was late March and unseasonably cold, we had a wonderful week in Cortona and a major reason was Silvia, Francesco and their home.

We had the pleasure of staying at Fonte al Vento for 3 weeks this summer. The grounds were impeccable. The views unparalleled. The convenience of being a ten minute walk up to Cortona was so very convenient for our entire family. Silvia made our visit the trip of a lifetime. She was there to answer all of our questions and accommodate all of our travel requests...plus she's a sweet adorable gem! The villa had four beautiful large bedrooms - modern, clean, luxury. The men gathered around the pool table at night and the women sat on the lounge chairs outside watching the sunset. There is honestly no better place to stay in the Tuscany/Umbria area than Fonte al Vento...I promise you will not be disappointed! Heaven!
