About this house rental
This two-story chalet style cottage sits right on the water of a small bay on Powers Lake, Wisconsin. Powers Lake is spring fed and very clean.
Our lakefront is great for swimming with a long shallow entry with a pebbly bottom. Lake views are on two sides of the property.
Spectacular sunset views as well as star-filled night skies are featured from the front cedar deck which overlooks the lake. Our family has enjoyed many wonderful days in this pleasant home, which is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac.
Families will be very comfortable with the open connected space of the great room, dining area, and kitchen. There is plenty more space to relax on the deck, in the screened porch, and rec room. A large grassy lawn offers a spot for outside games.
Main Living Space on the 2nd floor:
• Great Room with 180-degree view of the lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows along entire lakeside of the room.
• Dining Area with picture window and view of the lake
• Kitchen with lake view and open to dining area and great room
• Wide Cedar Deck across the front lakeside of the house
• 4 Bedrooms (queen, queen, queen and twin, 2 doubles) with blackout curtains
• Full Bath
Main living area is up a full flight of stairs from the ground level or a walkway up a hill, around the house and then up 5 steps.
Ground level/1st floor…which opens out to the lake:
• Large Rec Room with Ping Pong table
• Futon couch and futon chair
• Screened-in Porch under the upstairs deck
• ½ Bathroom plus 2 Showers with changing rooms
• Laundry Room
• Garage
Ground Level is open to the lakeside of the house on 1 side, open to the driveway on 1 side and underground on 2 sides.
Fishing on Powers Lake is great — northern pike, bass, and pan fish! Many of the best catches have been made right off our pier.

We couldnt have been happier with this VRBO rental!! There were 4 different gathering areas for our group of 6, and we used each one! We also used the firepit area outside, as well as putting the plastic chairs in the shallow water beach front to soak our feet and talk about life. We saw a bald eagle 3 times, just beautiful.

Lovely cabin on the lake with plenty of space for our group and close to Lake Geneva for a day trip into town. The owner was super responsive and very helpful with everything. Thanks for having us!

The cottage is located on one of the best fishing spots on Powers Lake. We were able to catch many bass, perch, panfish and one large bullhead right off the dock. The water is clean and clear, perfect for swimming. Bring water shoes as it is a little rocky but not terrible. The lake was hoppin on the weekend, but was very calm during the week. There are plenty of comfortable beds, lots of linens and pillows, and the cottage was well stocked and clean. The fire pit was sufficient with ample seating. They also had many chairs on the deck and screened in porch. We loved having coffee on the dock and deck most mornings and watching the sun set in the evening. It was the perfect end of summer retreat for our family. We had two adults, one 13 year old and one 9 year old and there was so much extra space. We rented a pontoon from uncle Eddys (262-295-5253) just across the lake and had a great time playing at the rock bar in the middle of the lake, tubing and just cruising around. It was a great vacation and stay. Thank you Susie!

Spent 4 days 3 nights with our 17 yr old daughter and 5 of her girlfriends so they could enjoy the lake and also attend the local Country Thunder music festival. The house was great and accommodated 9!of us easily with plenty of space to gather inside and out. My husband loves to cook and the organized kitchen was such a treat for him! The house had all necessary supplies and the hosts were great and communicated well. We would come back another year for a similar trip or just to enjoy the beautiful lake!
