Fabulous Ocean Views Top Floor - Elevator -Terrace - 4 Pools

great view to the ocean and sunsets. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Practically right on the ocean. Quiet, pleasant family atmosphere. No car needed; taxies are cheap- never paid more than $3 to downtown Jaco- we were a family of 5.

We stayed at La Paloma Blanca on Jaco beach the last week of July. We had booked another house originally that fell through and Sylvia was amazing with helping us get booked quickly into her condo. Although it was the rainy season, we still had an amazing vacation! The condo is perfectly located. Not in the heart of bustling Jaco, but close enough to enjoy the restaurants. The condo is right on the beach ... in the morning, it was high tide and we watched the surfers from our balcony. In the afternoon, the low tide was perfect for our girls to boogie board for hours. We also had a great experience with Lupe ... she booked us a horse riding tour that took us to a waterfall! The condo itself is lovely ... plenty of space for a family of four (two bathrooms ... a must!) The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook dinner a couple nights and the large table on the balcony was perfect for family meals. Having laundry facilities in the unit was very helpful, too! We liked the fact that there was security 24/7, but we never felt like it was really necessary. We drove to Manuel Antonio Park on our last day ... definitely worth it and an easy drive from the condo. On the way back, stop at The Backyard in Playa Hermosa ... on Saturdays, they have a surf competition with live music. All in all ... I highly recommend this condo!

This condo is gorgeous. Our unit was very spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (one with a twin sink).The rooms were beautifully decorated and very well kept up. Two balconies (one large with a dining table and chairs) had magnificent views of the beach as well as the large pool area. The pool was wonderful, probably 25 yards long and great for doing laps in the morning or evening. The grounds are meticulously kept. The beach is just behind the pool area and not at all crowded. The waves are constant but not intimidating making the ocean great for boogie boarding, just playing around and, of course surfing. The air conditioning kept the place cool which was a necessary relief since temperature stayed in the 90's from late morning to early evening. We caught sightings of monkeys in the trees out the front door and scarlet macaws out in back. I would say that this is one of the nicest condos we have stayed at.

Pros: Nice property and pools, clean condo, gated parking, friendly property manager (Lule), wifi, W/D, pretty and unrocky beach right in front Cons: very weak showers, no table (only 3 bar stools but we had 4 ppl) in condo -- there's one on back porch, so depending on weather, not always ideal to eat or play games outside; walk on beach to town is nice but rocky and there is no way to avoid getting feet wet (which is fine if you're in flip flops, but if walking to dinner in nicer shoes or wearing sneakers, you have to go on main road, which isn't pretty and is fairly far from town); no beach chairs or umbrellas (can rent from surf place - 2 for $10 per day) Overall we had a great time and no problems but we would prefer to find a different place if we went back.
