About this cottage rental
Newly remodeled family owned cottage on beautiful Long Lake
Only twenty minutes from downtown Traverse City and ten minutes from the Interlochen Center for the Arts.
New kitchen, master bath and carpeting. Four bedrooms, two baths, sleeps up to eight.
100' of beautiful sandy beach, perfect for everyone including children. Then 100' of gradual decline towards the dropoff and swim raft. The sandy lake bottom in the swimming area is virtually stone free.
It's one of the nicest beaches/swimming areas on all of Long Lake!
Parking for 4 vehicles maximum.
Deck on beach with a view of entire lake.
Aluminum dock reaches prime fishing at drop-off.
Out door fire pit near beach
Picnic table for outdoor dining
Weber gas grill for barbecuing
Paddle board, paddle boat and 2 kayaks are available for renters.
Cable TV and high speed internet included
Fully equipped kitchen.
Swimming raft just past dropoff..

All four of us (2 couples) who stayed here were extremely happy with the home, the lake, the neighborhood, and the general area. I searched hard for just the right place, and this was exactly what we were looking for. The home itself is clean and comfortable. Well-furnished kitchen, good wi-fi, comfortable beds, a/c. Great selection of books and games. The owners were very responsive and kind, e.g., offering to mail us something we’d left behind. The living room faces the lake and is all windows,so there's a beautiful view even before stepping outside. Lake even quieter than I’d hoped. The house is off of an already quiet dead-end road with woods around. During the week we were there, jet skis went by only a few times while we were outside, but otherwise it was quiet fishing boats or pontoon boats. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and the dock. Wonderful water for swimming. The floating dock was fun to swim to. I noticed a past reviewer mentioned the dock wasn’t clean so I do want to mention that the docks were very clean for us. We enjoyed the 2 kayaks and paddleboard (there was also a paddle boat, which we didn’t try out). In addition to just relaxing at the cottage, we enjoyed visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes, swimming at Empire Beach, sailing on west Gr Traverse Bay, and visiting the Mission Pt Lighthouse beach. Many thanks to the Cernys for sharing their family cottage with us.

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The property is nice and kept up well. The location is very convenient with shopping and eating options nearby and close to TC and other great towns. Owner was nice and responsive. One suggestion is to consider a bird deterrent for the dock. We were hoping to drop a line in but it was difficult to navigate due to the mess from the seagulls.

Typical 60’s home, not recently updated. Window A/C x2 did a fair job of cooling the home. Fair on the cleanliness ..Throw rugs old..bathroom rugs not recently washed, grill disgusting, frig dirty. Beds and towels, etc good. Nice deck and dock. Plenty of kitchen dishes, etc. Cookware very old.
