Stay and play in the Village by the Sea!

We really enjoyed our stay in Del Mar. The pictures are accurate, and the hosts were responsive communicators.

Property equals or exceeds all positive promises. Location, location, location. Ocean views from deck, master bedroom and front yard. Short walk to oceanfront parks and beach and one block walk to varied restaurants. House is well equipped and instructions comprehensive so that we had little reason to call on manager. Lauren was very responsive to all pre arrival questions.

Ideal location for a beach vacation. Very short walk (5 mins) to playground and beach and only a block away from shops and restaurants. Lauren was a great host and quickly responded to any questions or needs. Kitchen is very well stocked and Lauren has provided everything you need for a day at the beach (umbrella, chairs, towels, etc).

We loved our stay in Del Mar. Great location, convenient to the beach and downtown Del Mar! Perfect for family and dog friendly. Loved it!

Our family enjoyed our stay in this adorable Del Mar home. The owner is very nice and quick to respond when needed. She owns the attached home on the back side as well as this front home. It is an attached two unit property. The walk is a short one to all the restaurants and beach spots that we have loved over the years. It was great to visit beautiful Del Mar again. Don’t forget to spend time in the comfortable hammock out front.

A+ location with 5 minute walk to beach

Definitely one of the most well stocked places that we have stayed at. Probably the only thing that you need to bring extra are chairs and an umbrella. The area was great. Close to shopping and restaurants. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We had a great time!

short walk to beach and del mar. ocean view from common area nice. there were 5 adults staying for 4 nights. perfect size. my only feedback is to have more toilet paper and paper towels. we ran out very early in the stay and had to go buy more after being there a day. overall it was a good stay. thank you

We had a fabulous stay at Lauren’s property, the location was perfect for access to the beach and all the great restaurants nearby. Lauren was also very nice and responsive. Loved the whole thing.

Location is perfect. Sunset views and short walk to all. Loved having our family and dog together to enjoy all Del Mar and SD have to offer.

Our stay was great. Check in was easy, host was helpful and responsive but never intrusive, and the location is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Dedicated parking makes things easy and the house was well equipped. We'll be back for sure!

Super easy to communicate with Lauren and the house is like the photos. The beds are comfy and it’s nice to relax on the porch. There is a bonus hammock in the front yard!

Super location (block to end of road to watch sunset, block to restaurants and shopping). Super clean - for a dog-friendly place we expected less. Easy street parking except mid day when surfers and sunset watchers are in abundance. Would not recommend for little kids as stairs could be tricky, but for 2-3 couples or one older family it's ideal. Kitchen had everything we needed and laundry was great for our extended stay as well. Loved the deck and tree hammock. Wish water was warmer to try their surf/boogie boards, but great beach chairs and beach towels. Everything well stocked and Lauren (owner) couldn't have been nicer to work with. Great get-away.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. Location was fantastic and there were beautiful views from the outside porch. Lauren was very helpful and answered all our questions.

The location was wonderful. The owner was available and great to work with.

The interior decoration is beautiful. One of the best spots is outside on the deck, where you can see down the street to the ocean and wonderful sunsets. Only 5-7 minutes away is good access to the beach and a great dog park. Lauren was a good communicator both before and during our stay over Christmas week.

Excellent Del Mar home in the heart of all the action, but still very private and quiet. Great place and great host!

Great location. 1/2 block from beach. Great cafe 1/2 block away. owner supplies 5 surfboards, boogie boards, everything you need to spend the day at the beach. Modern interior. Nice patio with ocean view.

Thank you for letting us stay at your home, being a great host when needed, everything was really great. Been coming to Del Mar yearly for 7 years now, and this was by far the best. Thank you.

We had a lovely escape to Del Mar this Christmas. The house was bright and charming and we love the in town location. Also, two blocks from the walk down to the beach on 11th street!!

We enjoyed being so close to downtown Del Mar. The beach is just a ways down the street, so convenient! Also, it's so quiet.

Though I don't usually write lengthy reviews, this experience warrants one. Beware. She initially seems accommodating. Don't be deceived. You may lose a lot of money in retained deposits and leave feeling very misled. At the beginning of our inquiry , Lauren, the host, tried to steer us away from using VBRO, claiming to save us fees by using her Aero Venture America LLC contract. LUCKILY WE DID NOT DO THIS AND USED VBRO ALLOWING US TO WRITE A REVIEW AND WARN OTHERS! At arrival, Lauren gave a quick tour of the condo & also noted that we should keep the sink dry as it sometimes rusts. Although condo small & missing some kitchen essentials, most things seemed to be in order. Also you can see the ocean from the small deck, however, access to the beach is about a 15 min walk. Next day, we noticed the outdoor cushions on the sofa were missing preventing us from full enjoyment of the outdoor deck. When questioned, Lauren said the previous renter's dog had soiled them all & replacements should come (they never did). Next day, I requested more beach towels & was told there should be 16 but we only counted 6. 20 days after check-out, we received an email stating that she was keeping our refundable deposit b/c of missing towels, damages & provided over 50 photos of walls with smudges, close-up photos of loose threads in carpet, small scratches on furniture, & other things that I know we did not do (or lack of communication on her part-basically a list of items that should be addressed with cleaning/pet fee/normal wear & tear). The list goes on and on... I caution anyone from staying here as the property manager is not trustworthy. Although we thought we left the condo in great condition by washing all the towels, cleaning the refrigerator, wiping down all the counters, sweeping the floors, emptying the trash and stripping the beds, you will also want to wipe down all the walls/baseboards, take video of everything & make sure you review every aspect of the house with Lauren at checkin/out so there aren't any misunderstandings. Lauren left for Mexico during our stay & wasn't available at check-out. We have traveled the world yet we have never had someone try to take advantage of us like this. No receipts have been provided since our check-out on 8/8, 30 days ago. Nonetheless, Lauren has continued to rent the condo, even though she claimed we caused much damage, & is claiming she hasn't had it free yet for estimates, repairs or replacements.
