This was our first time at Heatherview and what an enjoyable little weekend break away. We stayed in a lovely clean caravan at The Acorns and was pleasantly surprised with the little welcome pack which came in very handy plus the soft towels that were available. The grandchildren had lots of fun in the play park area and we all enjoyed the delicious Sunday carvery on our final day.

For it being January there wasn't much to do, but that was the whole point in the visit to begin with. The caravan (or holiday home) was extremely impressive, you have all the facilities you could possibly want at your fingertips. Overall, excellent value for money!!
The only slight irritation was the poor Wifi connection

We were visiting friends there who own a caravan on the site. The site itself was clean and very well kept apart from there were no verandahs on some of the caravans and our view from our window was breeze blocks under the oposite caravans which wasnt really very nice. The local walks and the village of stanhope were very nice. Overall the site is in a lovely location
The breeze blocks as mentioned above. The lack of entertainment. We found ourselves watching telly most evenings which we could have done at home. And if we wanted to find entertainment we needed to drive which we did not want to do. The site would be ideal for some and maybe just wasnt right for us
