About this house rental
This oceanside home features 5 bedrooms and 3 and a half baths with plenty of room for a large family. On the upper level you'll find the open great room with flat screen TV, access to the sun deck, dining area with table which seats 10 guests, a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast bar and 3 bar stools, a half bath and the master bedroom. On the mid level are the remaining bedrooms; 2 with queens, 1 with 2 twins and 1 with 2 bunk sets along with a hall bath. Outside, you'll enjoy the large pool (14x33), tiki bar and hot tub. Pool toys and poolside furniture are provided and there's a convenient full bathroom and kitchenette in the pool area.
Duck R Way is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of the charming Village of Duck. Poteskeet has a private beach access and is conveniently located close to Downtown Duck and the Duck Town Park. Park amenities include a soundside boardwalk, amphitheater, public kayak/canoe launch, picnic shelter, playground, gazebo, walking trails and summer events. A seven-mile long multi-use path is located on the east side of Duck Road and provides a scenic and safe recreational venue for visitors to enjoy. Pedestrians, bicyclists and in-line skaters share the Duck Trail. This delightful home is just a 3 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the shops and restaurants.

The location of this home is perfect between the beach and short walk to Duck. The house was clean and great. One big downfall that we didn’t feel was clearly noted in the description of the property was the full bathrooms. Yes there are 3 full baths. There are 2 full baths in the home, however what we didn’t see listed is the 3rd full bath is outside, down the steps and through the gate of the pool. This bathroom is a full bath but also no air, so it’s an uncomfortable sauna to shower in. We had 3 families stay in this home and one family had to occupy that outside bath. I do wish it was more clearly noted as that would have affected our decision process. To us it was more like 2 full baths and a bonus outdoor bathroom.

Duck R Way was the perfect vacation home for our multi-generational family of 11. The location was great for walking to the beach or to the local
stores and restaurants. The pool was great for the young grandchildren to swim as the ocean was a bit too rough for them. The adults enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day on the beach and the new decking was wonderful. Having a full bathroom and a kitchen area by pool was so convenient, especially with small children. Inside the house, the layout worked perfect for our family. The large table allowed us all to eat together and was a great place for afternoon crafts with the grandkids and family games in the evenings. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes for our whole group. The bedrooms were good sizes. Only issues
we had was having one bathroom for 4 bedrooms to share on the middle level (some of our group took showers in bathroom by pool) and beds in room with twin beds were a bit uncomfortable. Overall, we highly recommend this house for families looking for a perfect location spot in the Outer Banks.

Loved the pool area. Everything you need to stay all day!
House is very clean and updated. I have no complaints or suggestions to make it better. That is how much we enjoyed our stay. Very short walk to the beach. Shops and restaurants are close by.

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

we love this property but we do not love the service. Last year we had a debacle where we did not get into the property until gone 8 pm. This year we had early check in but again it was late. Worse still was that even in the times of Covid the fridge was dirty as was the toilet and fridge by the pool. Marks of food smearing on tables and even the sofa. we did write a complaint previously but nobody responded.
