About this house rental
2013 is the first year we have rented our family beach house on Anna Maria Island. Our kids are in school and it is harder to get down to FL. We love this quaint and charming area of Florida. The house sits on a canal at the end of a cul de sac off of historic Pine Avenue. The house is a 5 minute walk to the beach. You are also in walking distance of great restaurants (the waterfront, relish cafe, city pier & the sand bar) and fabulous boutiques and shops that line Pine Avenue.
The beach is in a secluded area of the island that does not have much public access - therefore it feels very private and not too crowded. The only open air waterfront restaurant - the sand bar sits at the end of the street - this is perfect for lunch, or a cocktail after visiting the beach.
Inside the house you will find four bedrooms - one bedroom on the first level, two bedrooms on the second level and one loft bedroom on the third floor. The first level bedroom sleeps two in a pull out sofa, the second level has a master king bed and a queen bed in the two rooms, the third floor loft has two twin beds with pull out trundel twin beds. In total the house sleeps 8 comfortably. There is a long living area on the second level with an open kitchen and an adjacent dining area leading into the open living room with wood burning fireplace. The living room has a series of sliding doors that look out onto a second floor deck surrounding the house. The deck contains outdoor living room furniture and a dining table that seats four. There are two bathrooms on the second level - one has a two person shower and the other has a large soak tub with jets and stand up shower. The house contains three tv's; in the master, kids loft and main living room with cable. High speed wireless internet is available.
The back yard contains a large swimming pool and a 8 person hot tub. To the side of the pool is a built in tile bar and outdoor kitchen with a gas grill, pool, refrigerator, and sink. An outdoor bathroom and shower are also poolside. Beach gear and kids toys provided. There are small life jackets, various bikes, and a rugged beach stroller available for your use while at the property. The backyard also contains a dock and a boat lift (there are two covered bridges that you need to clear to get you out to the bay).
The house is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. The views from every room are soothing and beautiful.
Longboat Key is a 15 minute drive and St. Armands circle is a 35 minute drive - you can reach downtown Sarasota in 45 minutes from the house. The closest airport is Sarasota (40 minutes), Tampa airport is also nearby (70 minutes). There is also a 2022 Tahoe T18 boat on site that is available for rent during your stay as well. We loved this house & property. It was very clean and well maintained, the location on the canal was an extra bonus. We saw manatees, fish and other wildlife right in the backyard. Great location, easy walking to shops, restaurants and beach. We hope to come back again.

Had a great stay at this fabulous vacation rental. Could not ask for anything else everything about the place was awesome. Loved the location, cleanliness ,outdoor area and of course the pool. Would recommend this for any family vacation. Hope to be back one day thank you!!

Perfect for our family getaway with all the conveniences we needed. Comfortable beds, spacious living areas and the outdoor seating area with grill and bar were perfect. Pool and hot tub were excellent. Close walk to the beach and shops made it easy to enjoy the town on foot.

Property is in need of an updating and is not maintained well. Pool lights were not working and from the sign notifying you they were not working, they have been out for a long period of time. We had to contact the owner/manager when we wanted the hot tub and pool heater to be on as they controlled it remotely by a cell phone. Communication with owner not very good. Location was good.
