About this house rental
The Palm Leaf is a newly remodeled three-bedroom, two-bathroom private home with a pool and spa.
This fabulous house is only a short walk to the white sand beaches of Anna Maria and also a short walk to Bayfront Park. Stroll down to Pine Avenue and dine out at one of the many fine restaurants. Don't forget to explore the island on the free trolley that runs all day, every day from the end of Pine Avenue.
The Palm Leaf has all the charm of Old Florida cottage ground level living with modern updates. The living room has plush seating for the entire family and a large flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure. All TVs in the house are Roku TVs. The open floor plan streamlines the living area, kitchen and dining room with a second living area space. The vacation home has a well-equipped kitchen with all modern appliances and a perfect place to prepare the family meal! Start your day sitting at the breakfast bar with your favorite morning treat!
3 bedrooms will accommodate up to 6 guests.
BED & BATH DETAILS
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a large flat screen TV and an ensuite/guest bathroom with a shower/tub. The second bedroom has two twin size beds with a flat screen TV which shared the jack n jill bathroom with the third bedroom. The third bedroom has a king size bed and a large flat screen TV and shares the jack n jill bathroom with the twin bedroom.
EXTERIOR
The tropical, pool and spa with the outdoor dining area has plenty of room for family and friends. Cook out on the gas grill and enjoy evenings around the pool. Enjoy an outdoor shower to freshen up after your day at the beach.
Pool and spa heat is $150.00/week
Pool heaters in private homes are locked for your safety and controls must not be tampered with as they are monitored by the pool company. 86° F is the highest heat temperature setting which might not be reached at all times. Please note if cold days and nights occur, water temperatures will drop and may stay cooler longer. Pool heaters will not operate and will automatically shut down if outside temperatures get too cold. While we take every precaution to ensure that pools are heated as specified, weather conditions may affect the temperature of the pool. Nothing can be done about this issue. Outdoor spas are not hot tubs and require heat at the additional cost. The temperature of a spa is typically set at the same temperature as the pool. In the event of pool equipment malfunction during your stay, Duncan Real Estate will expedite repairs as quickly as possible. It may be necessary to close swimming pools for maintenance purposes. No refund or rent adjustment will be made for circumstances beyond our control, malfunctions or loss of use of equipment or amenities.
This property welcomes any day arrival for the months mid-August-January except holiday weeks.

House gets hot when shades not drawn in living room

The house was very clean and very well appointed for 6 people. There was plenty of room to relax and enjoy the property. The kitchen has most things you would need for cooking.
The pool area is fantastic and especially well suited for children as their is a shallow area with just several inches of water for splashing around. The pool furniture is very comfortable.
We spent mornings at the pool at walked to beach for the afternoons.
Issues that we encountered:
We paid the additional fee to heat the pool and the temperature was too hot. The management service came out the next day and indicated that the heater was functioning at "spa temperature" so they turned off the heater but it took about 2 days to return to a temperature that was refreshing and not too hot for swimming. The management company indicated that they would have to work with the owner to determine if there would be a refund or pro-rating of the fee to heat the pool.
The propane tank on the grill ran out while we were cooking dinner for 6 people. We contacted the management company and they indicated that they could replace the tank the next day.
The main bathroom does not have any towel bars or hooks which is a minor inconvenience but could be improved for a property hosting 6 guests.
We did encounter two Palmetto bugs in the house on different days (one in the living room and one in the kitchen). I do not know if this is to be expected in Florida but it was alarming to me.

We loved everything about our stay here. Great location, close to great beaches, shops, and food. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean and had everything we needed. The pool was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
