Only steps from the bluff you can enjoy a day at the beach and easily come home for lunch. Torrey Pines State Reserve and the Torrey Pines Annex are just a few minutes walk. Miles of trails are available by bike, as is the entire coastline, a very popular weekend ride.
It's an easy stroll to Del Mar Village and world class dining as well as casual coffee. It's so much fun to enjoy a beverage and the sunset at the Del Mar Plaza, if for some reason one is bored with the perfect view from the front porch.
Whether you want a challenging hike through the Torrey Pines Reserve or a day on the chaise lounge, roll out of bed on 7th Street and you are there. Fall asleep to the sound of the surf.

Had a great stay with our family - enjoyed quiet walks and swimming in Del Mar. This house was also a great home base for longer trips into the city. This is a well-loved and well-used family cottage. I think the description and photos give you a good idea of what to expect. The views are amazing from the front porch and patio set. The space was adequate for 3 - might become a bit tight for 4 or more depending on your needs. Windows were a bit challenging they are very old and are either difficult to open or they open but don't lock. There are fans in the house, but they are very old and need replacement. The house gets stuffy and warm without adequate airflow. We were able to make it work but suggest replacing the old/broken window fans with new ones.Overall had a good, quiet stay in Del Mar.

This was one of many times we have stayed in this house when visiting family in the San Diego area. Located several houses back from the edge of the cliff above the ocean, it has a good view of the ocean from the living room and the front sitting area, and is a ten minute walk from the Del Mar beach.

This was one of our multiple stays in this property which is our preferred site for visiting family in San Diego. We appreciate its views of the ocean, its location with proximity to beaches, and its quiet, peaceful setting.
