About this house rental
Nestled on a quiet country lane only a few minutes drive to Sonoma Square lies Ragone Ranch. Enjoy full access to this private, single level home and grounds, perfect for families and couples, is situated in a rural setting with wide fields and rolling hills, surrounded by lush vineyards. Wake up to incredible sunrises in the morning with blue skies all day and enjoy dreamy sunsets and the twinkling stars at night. Ragone Ranch is approximately 3 miles from Sonoma Square.
This home is perfect for active families, couples, or friends who enjoy outdoor activities during their stay. The home includes a basketball hoop, a professional bocce court, footballs and frisbees, and a corn hole set. There are 2 adult bikes available (with helmets) and 2 kid bikes. We also have board games available for the family. For families with young toddlers/babies, we have a pack-n-play available. The pool includes an integrated pool cover you control with a key to provide you with the peace of mind to let the kids play outside safely.
This 2300 sq.ft. spacious home was recently remodeled with upscale finishes and clean lines that entice you to relax and unwind on your getaway in wine country. Enjoy all the rustic modern charm with many of the latest smart home conveniences. Our fully air conditioned home features 3 bedrooms with plenty of room to sleep 6 people. Our air conditioning was recently updated to ensure all rooms received adequate air conditioning. The large eat-in kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to make scrumptious meals and boasts a large farmhouse table that seats up to 12.
While the adults are enjoying wine and conversation on the expansive deck in the backyard overlooking the in-ground pool and surrounding hills and vineyards or in the living room by the beautiful brick fireplace, the kids can relax in their own family room with a large sectional watching TV, playing board games, or reading books. The living room also comes with a work area with 27” iMac computer and printer for those last minute business needs that require quick attention.
The master bedroom comes with a king size bed with top of the line mattress and includes a walk-in closet and master bathroom complete with a shower tower with rain shower head and spray jets to provide the spa treatment you deserve. The 2nd bedroom features a large space with a queen bed and a daybed for those cosy afternoon naps that is right off the living room. There are 2 other bedrooms of which you can choose 1. The first is a private bedroom with a Queen bed. The other bedroom has a twin bed and twin bunk beds that sleeps 3. The home is fully air conditioned. Upon reservation, please kindly specify which room you prefer. Our occupancy permit limits the number of bedrooms we can have available. All beds come with top of the line cushion firm mattresses for a dreamy night sleep so you are energized to maximize your days in wine country. The bathrooms are also remodeled with new vanities and include shower towers.
This expansive property lies on a flat 2.5 acres with a circular driveway and dotted with several fruit trees. The view to the back of Ragone Ranch is filled with the rolling hills to the West and partial views of the surrounding vineyards.
A 20' x 40' in-ground pool with surrounding travertine patio is the perfect location to enjoy the sun and warm weather. The pool depths range from 3.5' to 6' and includes a baja bench for those who prefer a shallow location to cool off or for the little ones to splash around. The pool includes an integrated pool cover you control with a key provided by the host. Solar pool heating keeps the pool nice and warm in the summer months. Propane heating is available for an additional charge.
You can take advantage of this property to play outdoor games including basketball and baseball or enjoy bike rides in the surrounding area. A large outdoor deck includes outdoor seating and a grill for those summer barbecues.

Mike was a great host, quick to respond and had great recommendations in the area. Ragone Ranch was a perfect spot in Sonoma to enjoy wine country and a retreat! After a day at the vineyards, enjoying the pool, the stars and a nice home-cooked dinner was the perfect nightcap. Whether enjoying the inside or outside spaces, comfort is around every corner. Really enjoyed the stay…will be back!

Hosts were very easy to work with and the property was as pictured. Nice and secluded so you didn’t hear other neighbors. Pool was really nice and we played Bocce every night. We would definitely stay there again!

This was an absolute perfect house for us and our daughter and husband and 13 month boy. We basically had two separate areas of the house while still had beautiful common area in between. Add to this the fantastic outdoor space and pool area, and it hit all the marks. In addition, Michael was extremely easy to interact with and always answered questions promptly.We were in Sonoma four our youngest son's wedding and the house provided a great place to have some BBQs so we had time to reconnect with our relavtives.Overall, 5 stars!

Ragone Ranch is hands down the most memorable rental that my family and I have stayed at. There are so many reasons that we loved this property.
Cleanliness: Often times, when you rent a home instead of staying in a hotel, you give up cleanliness. However, Ragone Ranch was spotless and probably cleaner than a hotel room. I walked around the house bare feet and by the end of the day my feet were still clean. Everything in the house is so well organized and it made you feel as though you were in a 4-star resort. There is also plenty of cleaning supplies on hand such as Clorox wipes and soap.
Comfort: The beds and furniture are all new. My husband and I typically have trouble sleeping in a bed outside of our own home, however we slept so well here. The pillows and bed was super comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the TV room, which also had a comfortable couch that my kids enjoyed lounging in. The house is spacious and the property is massive.
Quality: Ragone Ranch puts a lot of care in their home. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a home where all the amenities were brand name. The bathrooms were well stocked with good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash.
Location: Perfect location to feel like you’re away from everything, but still 10 minutes away from Sonoma Square and wineries.
Other: The house has plenty of stuff to keep kids busy. My kids are 1 and 5 and there were an assortment of balls, toys, legos, and board games available for them to play with. Also, I appreciated the access to various streaming channels on TV such as Netflix and Amazon. We also went to the pool each day and had the pool heated - Mike was able to facilitate this remotely and made sure the temperature was perfect for my 2 kids.
Overall: We would definitely come back to Ragone Ranch and recommend this property to friends and family. This home is not only great for families, but it would be perfect for couples or a friend’s trip. We wish we could’ve stayed longer.
