Come enjoy this adorable shared waterfront cottage on Platte Lake!
This well-maintained cottage can serve as a great home-base for your vacation, or as your little "peace" of paradise for the week!
Enjoy swimming from the beach or soak in the sun on the dock. The water in front of the property is shallow and perfect for the kids, or those who want to "ease their way in". A picnic table is available just off the deck for outdoor meals, and there are lots of games and movies for evening or rainy weather fun. TV, DVD player, wifi, and bluetooth speaker available for electronic entertainment.
The rental/cleaning fee includes all linens (pillows, sheets, blankets, down comforters, and bath towels).
You will find all you need in the fully equipped kitchen (also provided: dish soap & towels, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and basic spices).
Gas grill available on deck.
Shared beach, dock, and fire pit (wood provided).
Please bring your own beach towels and water/beach toys.
Platte Lake is an all sports 2,500 acre lake with small mouth bass, pike, walleye and pan fish. The Platte River is just around the corner and is ideal for kayaking and stream fishing.
Area attractions include: Sleeping Bear Dunes (20 minutes), Frankfort (20 minutes), Traverse City (40 minutes), Crystal Mountain for golfing or alpine slide (20 minutes), and Cherry Bowl Drive-In (less than 5 minutes). In addition, lots of Lake Michigan beaches, hiking, shopping, antiquing, and exploring the great local towns (Frankfort, Beulah, Empire, and Glen Arbor).

We loved our stay in this gorgeous, spotless, cozy cabin! We enjoyed gorgeous sunrise, and sunset views of Big Platte Lake. Melissa is a wonderful and attentive hostess!

Perfect lake view private sand beach for entering the water with a toddler and decently sandy region around the dock. Great canoeing option near by, can hear some outside noise if other cabins are in use but generally quiet.

Everything about this little cottage was great for us! Melissa was a great host with obvious thought and care given to all the details! The location was amazing, close to all kinds of adventures while the lake was quiet, restful and fun to paddle and play in! We would love to come back again sometime!

This cottage was absolutely perfect! We loved playing at the lake, relaxing on the porch, sharing a bonfire and playing games. It's also. Perfect location to visit the Dunes, Traverse City, Frankfort, and more! Thanks to Melissa who made sure we had everything we needed.
