Escape to your beautifully maintained Beach Home Away From Home one block off the beach for a much needed relaxing and joyful vacation for your friends and family in the Live Oaks Community on Topsail Island. Located one mile south from the heart of Surf City and the historic Swing Bridge. This 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home is perfectly situated on the end of the neighborhood for you to enjoy the beautiful and unobstructed views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Whether you're looking to get away for a couples retreat or a family vacation, this rental property is suited for your needs.
The Beach House has plenty of room to enjoy the outdoor island life with 2 covered porches and 2 sun decks. The front porch has a comfortable sectional along with 4 captains chairs and round table to enjoy a cup of coffee, glass of wine or nice meal with your family, while soaking up the beautiful views. The back porch is equipped with 4 captains chairs and a perfect spot to soak up some sun.
The top floor of the home is an open concept and great place for your family and friends to come together and spend quality time. The living room is equipped with a 70" flat screen TV with a Blu-ray DVD player and Apple TV with Netflix and Hulu and large selection of DVDs to choose from. There is also a Bose Wave IV Radio/CD/Bluetooth system for your musical enjoyment. You will surely enjoy this space overlooking the ocean.
The bottom floor of the home has 3 bedrooms with adjoining porches. The Anchors Aweigh Bedroom has a Twin over Twin Bunk Bed and a Single Twin Bed along with a 32" flat screen TV with Cable and DVD player. The Sail Away bedroom has a Twin over Full Bunk Bed along with a 32" TV with Cable and DVD player. The Sea Shells Master bedroom is the most relaxing with a King Bed and 42" TV with Cable and DVD player. The MBR also has its own Full Bathroom with double vanity and Shower/Tub combination. There is also a second Full Bathroom on the bottom floor with a Shower/Tub combination and attached Washer/Dryer combination unit room. There is also a mini refrigerator in the laundry room perfect for cold bottles of water before heading out to enjoy some quality beach time.
The 4th bedroom is located on the top floor with a Queen Bed along with a 32" wall-mounted Roku Smart TV with Cable.
Bedding linens and bathing towels will be provided for each Bedroom/Bathroom for ease throughout your stay.
I fully understand it is sometimes difficult for people to fully break apart from work when vacationing and need further amenities to ensure piece of mind to truly enjoy time together with your family. The top floor also provides a small work desk and Apple iMac in case work needs to be attended to.
Other amenities include Central AC/Heat, WiFi, Telephone and access to the professionally maintained community pool. There is also a 130 can beverage cooler located in the pantry for extra space away from the refrigerator when you want to enjoy a nice refreshing frosty! There is also a YETI, Tommy Bahama and IGLOO cooler for all of your refreshment needs when enjoying the beautiful beach, the community pool or renting a boat. Beach chairs and umbrella are located in the outdoor closet below the house along with corn hole and washers for your enjoyment. The ground floor also has a picnic table and BBQ grill.
When it is time to go to the beach there are two locations to choose from just a short walk north or south of the property. When coming off the beach there is a refreshing hot/cold private outdoor shower to rinse off.

Great house. Lots of extras which made it so much easier for us. Great location. Pool was nice. Short walk to the beach. Definitely recommend and would stay here again

This house has everything that you could possibly need. We just finished our stay and would definitely stay again. Everything was clean, stocked, and comfortable. Brian went above and beyond for us. He is an amazing human being. The only thing you need to pack is your clothes. The kitchen is even stocked with spices! The beach is a quick walk and there is a wagon to put all of your things in. There are two Shibumi shades which are really incredible; we had never used them before but they are really easy to put up and take down. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay, this is it!

Our family would definitely give this more than 5 stars if we could. The best rental experience we have ever had. After allowing us time to get in and settled, Brian was sure to check on us to confirm we had everything we needed. And let me tell you, there was not a single thing we needed. Linens, towels, toilet paper, hand soaps, dish soap, laundry soap, phone chargers & sound machines in EVERY.SINGLE.BEDROOM. All the kitchen appliances and dishes/cookware you could possibly need. Coolers, beach chairs, wagon & shibumis. The house is exactly how the pictures show. Comfy beds and pillows. The living room area was a very gracious size for our 2 families of 9. We never felt crowded. Sad to leave, but we will be back for sure. Thank you for hosting us!!

My husband and I along with our 4 daughters enjoyed a fantastic spring break vacation at Brian's beach house. We were honestly sad to leave! The house was decorated very beautifully, spacious, comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. The pictures included in the listing very accurately represented what we found when we arrived. My husband had to work a couple of days during our trip and was able to use a small office space that was set up near the kitchen. Our oldest daughter is a college freshman, and I am in grad school, and we were able to complete our assignments and my husband was able to conduct multiple work meetings with no trouble as the wifi capability was sufficient.
Getting to the beach was pretty easy and took no more than 5 minutes even with kids and a wagon full of stuff. It is a straight shot down the sidewalk and then you have to cross the street. We are people who set all our stuff up at the beach in the morning and stay until evening high tide. We walked back and forth to the rental for bathroom breaks, snack/drink refills etc. all day every day and never felt that it was a big trek. Our 6-year-old twins never complained about the walk at all. The issue is with crossing the street and that is only because people drive entirely too fast through there. We have that problem in our own neighborhood too. We just held their hands and crossed when it felt safe.
In case it helps anyone, My parents (68 and 71 with replaced joints ;) )joined us for two days at the end of the week and had no trouble navigating the interior or exterior stairs and had no issues with the walk to and from the beach. My dad kept saying how pleased he was with the house and the beach access.
Brian is an absolutely phenomenal host! It is very easy to see how much work he puts into making sure his home is comfortable and clean and that his tenants enjoy their time there. We look forward to staying at his place again in the future!
