We love this beach cottage! It is a quiet neighborhood where everyone is friendly. We love sitting on the front patio in the afternoons & evening. Three streets down is the best fish taco place. The beds are comfy & the house gives an overall zen vibe. The owners are great and it was a treat to have the cleaners come twice during our stay. The garage also has everything you could need for the beach. We will definitely come back.

Having stayed one block off Main Street two years ago were looking for a quieter location and this delivered. Very walkable to beach and an easy bike ride to the pier or main street (1 mile). Owners very quick to answer inquiries. Looking forward to next year!

Surf City Beach Cottage and its hosts make Surf City livin' easy! The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need to make an amazing dinner - crock pots, blenders, serving dishes, you name it. The oversized dining room table is perfect for family game nights - there's a cabinet full of 'em! The living room couch is gigantic and perfect for lounging while watching the provided Apple TV, cable TV or DVDs. The three generous bedrooms offer comfortable beds and tons of closet space. With a full size washer and dryer, two car garage and beautiful outdoor living spaces, what's not to love? Being walking distance to dog beach was the icing on the cake! Having a safe and well appointed place to stay during our chaotic home renovation was priceless, thank you for hosting us!

My wife, dog and I enjoyed 3 months on Huntington Beach. We actually extended our stay twice. Very responsive owners. The back patio and front porch were nice places to hang out. Well-stocked kitchen and beach toys. Spacious garage with bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards. The location was great, 3 blocks to the beach, then dog beach another 2 block north. Main Street downtown just a mile away. Close to all and yet a quiet area. Easy parking. At some point, the house could use a few updates: range, TVs, cushions, but everything worked and we very much enjoyed our stay. We hope to be back:) Thx!!!

We were in this property for nearly 9 months while our new house was built. The owners were so prompt to fix any minor thing that broke, the place as always professionally cleaned and the neighbors were so wonderful with our little kids. Cannot say enough nice things about our stay.

Had a wonderful time in our second home. The house was fully stocked with everything you need in terms of amenities and we stayed a month. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was perfect for that. We hung out as a family on the back porch during the morning and day and late afternoon and evening on the front porch. Great breeze from the ocean two blocks away. Huge washer dryer just right for our family size. Bikes and beach gear was at our disposable. Neighborhood bar was a blast and the beach and Main street were fun to hang out at. I would come back to this place again sometime.

The house is clean and well appointed; is close to the beautiful beach and Pacific Ocean; is close to town; is close to Dog Beach; accepts our pups so that they can travel with us, and the owners are very responsive. Stayed here for the 2nd year this winter and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The cottage is comfortable with lovely outside areas and 2 blocks to beach. My two dogs love the dog beach. Owner/managers are very accessible and responsive to any requests. Recommend this property highly.

Easy access to downtown and the beach. There’s a great little pastry shop on 17th and Orange and a nice little breakfast place further down Orange on 11th. Lots of activity downtown with lots of restaurants and bars. Check out Avila’s for Mexican.

Huntington Beach is a relaxing community located on some of the best beaches in California with many other activities easily accessible. This property is located just 2 short blocks to the beautiful beach and Pacific Ocean. It is also located in the "numbered streets" area of Huntington Beach and which have a unique style and quietness. The house is well appointed and arranged and very comfortable and comes with plenty of off-street parking. Plenty of non-beach activities are accessible, as well as various shopping venues. We especially enjoy the fantastic weather, the long walks on the miles of beach paths and the various roof top wine bars. An extra plus this year was the portable AC unit for those few days when the weather may get above the high 70's. We plan to stay here again in 2019. Craig/Pat September 2018

We just returned from our 6 week vacation at the Surf City Beach Cottage. This darling 3 bedroom home was ideally located just over 2 short blocks from the beach and a bike ride away from the action of Main Street and Pacific City. The home itself is well stocked with everything you may need. We loved that 4 bikes were provided as well as beach toys. The owners are locals and super responsive to questions or issues with regard to the property. We hope to visit again and highly recommend this property!

Staying at surf city beach cottage was very helpful and accommodating. We were renovating our bathrooms and we needed a home to stay at that was close to ours. Perfect location, just a few streets away. We had to extend our stay a few times. Michelle and Eric were happy to do so. Michelle is attentive and friendly. The cottage has everything you need, clean, cozy and cute as well.

We stayed at this property for the month of March 2018 to avoid the Minnesota winter. Very pleasant home with all the necessary accessories. Michelle responded promptly to requests. The location was perfect for us. Close to famous Huntington Beach and downtown was a walkable distance. It was so much fun to enjoy the outside and my dogs love the dog beach. Plan to come again in 2019.

Unfortunate circumstances led us looking for a temporary home quickly and boy did we hit the jackpot! Gorgeous inside and out, just two blocks to the beach, couple of blocks over from dog beach. We slept to the sounds of the waves and while our home was being gutted and rebuilt, we found refuge in this wonderful place for 5 weeks. Turnkey ready, we didn't want for a thing and the owners made sure that we had no worries while we were there. The Master bedroom and Master bath are huge, the other bedrooms were just perfect for us. The spa-like shower in the Master bath just added to the comfort we felt being in this house. The garage is enormous and it was nice not to have to park on the street, even though there was plenty of room to do so and the neighborhood seemed really safe. Could not have asked for nicer hosts - they fully accommodated our every request. Thank you, Eric and Michelle!

The house was roomy, clean and well furnished; location was great- about 2.5 short blocks to the beach or just the right distance; about a mile to Main Street and a short walk to Dog Beach. We have stayed directly on PCH before and the noise from PCH was not pleasant and aggravated by the fact that the windows usually have to be open since not many units/homes have AC. This place is just the right distance from PCH but very close to the beach. We would stay here again.

We were a group of 3 couples visiting from Munich, Germany. Making a long distance booking is always a tricky thing because you never really know the home owner or broker. Having had some bad experiences in the past with fake ads on homeaway and other sites, I started a dialogue with Michelle before actually making the booking. She was very responsive and forthcoming, which gave me and our group a positive and reassuring feeling. Unfortunately, homeaway had a major technical glitch right that evening when I wanted to complete the booking and it cost both Michelle and me a lot of time, effort and nerves. I am still waiting for homeaway to get back to me because they actually overcharged me due to their technical incapability and have denied reimbursing me that loss of money, which is outrageous, but a different issue. Our stay at the Beach Cottage was great. Michelle made sure that we arrived well and she responded to any questions or queries we had immediately. Except for a couple of minor issues that were resolved quickly everything was in best order, just as described and we are happy to recommend the Beach Cottage unreservedly and without hesitation. We had a very nice stay and will definitely consider staying again, when visiting Huntington Beach next year. Thank you very much for having us, Michelle. Best wishes.

We were at the beach cottage for 2 months. I have rented 3 places before by far this is the best. So comfortable every thing you need is there very well stocked, close enough to downtown to walk or ride bikes that they provide. Neighbors are nice and there is a little market 3 blocks away that is handy. This is a keeper you can not go wrong with this house. Michelle is great and so willing to help with anything. We hope to be back next year, It is a 10

Myself, my husband, our one year old daughter and our dog recently drove from Philadelphia to Huntington Beach for a five month stay while my husband was on business. We were at Surf City Beach Cottage from 2/6-6/15 and it was the easiest, most comfortable, wonderful stay we've experienced. I wish I would relive the experience of pulling up and seeing the house for the first time. Pictures do NOT do it justice. The space was MUCH bigger than I expected and they've literally thought of every amenity you could possibly think of. First, the location was absolutely perfect. Close enough to walk to Pacific City and Main Street, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Second, we did not have to bring a single thing with us besides ourselves and our clothes. The house is fully stocked with anything and everything you can possibly imagine. Speakers on the front and back patios, kitchen appliances, a garage full of bikes, beach toys, boogie boards, beach umbrellas and chairs. There was even a high chair hiding in there! I'd also mention we did a ton of exploring while we were visiting and it was an easy drive to LA, Malibu, Newport, Laguna, San Diego, San Clemente, Carlsbad, Temecula, Disneyland, Catalina, and even Santa Barbara if your stay is long enough to spend a night. Basically everything about the cottage is perfect and the attention to detail the owners have paid to the property is really something. As I mentioned, we stayed for 5 months and did not have a single issue or complaint. I'm wracking my brain trying to think of one thing that was even just a little 'below average' and can't think of a single thing. Our stay was perfect and we made so many memories in that wonderful little house. We will remember it and cherish it forever. Hopefully we will be back someday soon!

My sister, who lives in HB, recently had a baby so we all came to her for the holidays. We rented the Surf City Beach Cottage and it was the perfect house to bring the family together. The owners were extremely accommodating. The location is awesome. The house is beautiful and has a great lay out for groups to get together comfortably. Loved the beach/nautical vibe. We were constantly using the beach cruisers to go on long rides along the beach or to head into downtown HB for lunch or drinks. My mom was SHOCKED at how well the kitchen was stocked. The owners really thought of everything. They even had a beautiful holiday bouquet on the dining room table which we appreciated. We would definitely rent this house again and highly recommend it.

How to describe the excitement of driving into a beautiful neighborhood, turning the key on the Surf City Beach Cottage, and enjoying a wonderful week right at our fingertips?… Sunny morning gatherings in the front courtyard, yet elegant lighting and ambiance for dinners in the back courtyard. Steps away from watching a surf competition, but just the right distance to not listen to any traffic noise. I think we walked over to the beach 4 or 5 times a day. We rode the cottage’s bikes on the boardwalk, built sand castles with all of the provided beach toys, had our picture taken with Mickey… Whew! We would love to have stayed another week. The careful attention to detail and pride of ownership emanates throughout the wonderful home. The owners are very gracious and we are extremely happy with the value received and the amenities included. We can’t wait for our next visit to the Surf City Beach Cottage.

My family and I travel year-round for work, moving every month on average, and over the past 10 years, we have rented many furnished homes. This property is one of our all-time favorites, not just for its quiet neighborhood and proximity to the beach, but also for the beauty, comfort, and amenities of the home itself. We had a total of 4 adults and 2 young children staying there for a month, and we were always comfortable and had lots of room to spread out and find our own space. Michelle and Eric are extremely gracious hosts and were communicative, friendly, and responsive throughout the entire process, from inquiry to check-out. We stayed at this home over labor day and it was perfect! It had everything you would have at home, and was even stocked with some food items which was very nice since we got in late and the grocery stores were closed. My favorite is the front porch - never knew how much I would miss sitting out there with the breeze from the beach and simply relaxing. The home was decorated so cute and comfortable, and I love the floors and the master shower. The owners are so easy to work with and didn't miss one single thing. I will be back next summer if not before then. By far the best experience I've had with a home vacation rental.

We absolutely loved this beautifully appointed cottage. We have stayed in many VRBOs and I must say this place had the most accommodations from all the cooking utensils to 4 beach cruisers to an Xbox for the kids! (Quite a treat since we don't have one😉). They did not miss a thing! Even had disposable coffee cups and paper plates. We would highly recommend this place hands down and can't wait to rent it again next year!!

Our family was thrilled with the Surf Beach Cottage. Our first time to use VRBO, we were a little nervous about what the house was going to be like. Now we can't wait for our next opportunity to rent this out. Perfect location near the beach, parking on the street was easy and they had all the amenities that we needed. Loved the back patio in the afternoon and the front porch for our morning coffee!
