Great house and location, quiet neighborhood and beautiful views. The house was filthy though and there was black mold in all of the windows. The shower curtain rod in the upstairs bathroom was broken and taped back together so it wouldn’t stay up. We found previous tenants’ trash in random places like a pair of old dried up contacts in one of the bathrooms. Some furniture was broken and there were no closets in the bedrooms. Other than that, though, working with the hosts was a breeze and the overall stay was very enjoyable. The house had absolutely anything you would need for a beach house - nice lounge chairs, beach toys, a long hose outside, a ton of dishes and kitchen appliances.

This place was a gem! Easy access to the beach. Tons of room and spaces to be in the house if needed. The upstairs rooms were beautiful and had great view. The bunkroom was fun for the kids.

Communication was excellent, no intrusion whatsoever. The home is old but well maintained with some updates. Very clean and comfortable. Great beach access and a beautiful panaramic view of the ocean. All my family said they would be happy to return. Absolutely no negatives.

Absolutely fantastic vacation! The location and access to the beach couldn't be better. Our family of 7, including 2 toddlers, had plenty of space with comfortable seating and beds on all 3 floors.Loved the wall of windows and rear deck with Adirondack chairs to watch beachcombers, kite fliers, shorebirds, the tide and sunsets.

Some of The electrical plugs in the north bedroom did not work. The mattress in middle bedroom was so broken down it could not be slept on. Some of the plastic glass wear was broken would not hold liquids. There were only a couple of teaspoons. No bath soaps in any of the bathrooms. Plenty of towels and dishes and pots and pans. The house is obviously old with creaking floors and doors. Not a great place for very young infants trying to sleep.

The house was more than big enough for our group. Loved that we were just steps off the beach. Enjoyed the daily visit by one specific seagull. Will look at this house again in the future for our yearly trips to the coast.

It was so great to be right on the beach! Plenty of room to spread out. The big windows looking right out to the ocean from the main floor living area were wonderful! We were super blessed with great weather so it was wonderful to be able to walk right out onto the beach or sit on the deck.

We absolutely loved this property! Fantastic views and easy, convenient access to the beach. The deck is amazing. The downstairs area provided a great space for our teenagers and the upstairs bedrooms for the adults are spacious and nicely furnished. I have nothing even remotely negative to say about this property.

This was a great house for our family. It's not fancy, so less stress with the little ones around. Cleanliness was good, not great. The wi fi was out when we arrived and we needed to have the host call Spectrum to get it working. There were a couple of other little things, but overall the location and ocean views made up for them.

Great location and access to beach. They didn’t stock the house to accommodate 14 people for 5 days. We ran out of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and dish washing pods. Under the beds there was garbage (candy wrappers, toys, and an old dirty Sox). We ended up checking out a day early because I didn’t want to go buy more garbage bags and dish soap, I already had to restock toilet paper and paper towels. Don’t think I would stay there again

Lots of comfortable beds. All with a beautiful view. We had issues with hot water. Someone came to check it out. I got into the shower at 7am to take a shower and 5 minutes in, it turned cold. The deck area and chairs were wonderful.

First the positives…Perfect location. Great view of the ocean. Spacious house. Great decks to sit outside. No closets and just a couple of chest of drawers. Mainly hooks to hang clothes. No bathroom in the master. It wasn’t stocked very well with paper items such as tp, paper towels and plates. A gas fire pit on the deck would have been nice since most evenings are cool. The dining table was small. All that being said, we all agreed that we’d book this place again in the future.

The layout of the house was perfect for our family, the location and views were wonderful! It was very disappointing that the BBQ was not usable, it is rusted out and very dirty. Also, some of the handheld/small appliances were very dirty and several dishes needed to be rewashed before use. Other than that the house was great and we had a wonderful time.

Perfect for what we needed! Lots of bath towels and wash cloths which is often a problem 👏 We loved the big windows in the livingroom with the amazing view of the ocean and the direct beach access. The light was a bit dim in the livingroom and the bedroom on the main floor is tiny but other then that, amazing place! We loved it!

We had a wonderful time with family at this beachfront home. I would recommend it for anyone with a larger group who wants to be close to the ocean. The home is older, so don't expect anything fancy. The cleanliness could be a tad better in the kitchen area, but the beds were all clean and comfortable. Another small issue was that the hot water never seemed to get hot enough. It was warm enough to shower, but definitely not hot. None of these things were bad enough for us to call maintenance. In my opinion, it would be nice to have more seating facing the ocean windows, but this may not be an issue for those who prefer watching TV over watching the ocean. Overall, it was a great weekend and a great place to stay.

Charlies place was sufficient for our group of 11. We spent Thanksgiving Holiday at the beachouse with our family from NY,NJ,AZ,OR. There were sufficient dishes, utensils, pots and pans to accomodate. Plenty of rooms and beds. Lots of puzzles, books, games and beach toys for the littles. Recommendation, rubber mats for showers and tubs. Our 80 yr old mother felt very insecure aboutshowering on the main floor and is not able to climb or decend stairs. Overall, was a lovely home would stay again

This house is everything we hoped for. Plenty of space for everyone to be able to get away when needed but great common space to all be together and enjoy family time. Walks down to the beach were a easy, daily occurrence with the direct access. Easy day trips to Newport and Tillamook for even more fun. Easy communication with owners and simple check in and out process. Would stay here again for sure.

The beach access is not what it appears in the photos. Not sure if the pics were taken a long time ago or what but it was very difficult for my aging parents to get down to the sand which was the entire point of booking a place with direct beach access. The main floor bedroom is VERY SMALL there isn’t enough room on either side of the bed to get in and out without hitting knees or stubbing toes. We will still probably book again despite the disappointments because overall it does have the space we needed with private bedrooms and enough bathrooms. The kitchen, dinning and living rooms were able to accommodate our large families needs. The views are beautiful without a doubt.

Views were amazing and property was adequately stocked with linens and kitchen ware….maybe would have liked more TP stocked but we had a large group. Garage code didn’t work and never heard from property manager regarding that after notifying and the windows were dirty so a squeegee would have come in handy to wipe the windows down. All in all a great place the stay and would definitely stay again

Our trip to Lincoln City was fantastic, and our stay at Charlie's Place was wonderful! Lots of space for our family of 13. Kids loved having their own space downstairs and we all loved the private beach access. Such a wonderful space at this home! It was a little dusty inside and we had to clean a few things off but overall was clean. TP was short, but we read previous reviews and brought extra. Plenty of bath towels, but bring your own beach towels. Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely be back!

This house worked perfectly for an extended family gathering place, and you simply cannot beat the view and beach access! The one bedroom on the entry level is pretty small. The oldest generation used this bedroom due to mobility issues and they got along in it fine, but it definitely is the smallest of the four bedrooms that have either a King or Queen bed. All three of the bedrooms upstairs were comfortable and all had an ocean view. The bunkroom downstairs worked out well for those who were coming for only a portion of the stay - we had one night when every bed was filled in the house. We did wish that the water would get a little hotter; I suspect the water heater isn't turned up for energy efficiency - but we all complained that we would have liked to have had a hotter shower. That said, I must repeat that the beach/ocean view, and private beach/ocean access from this house simply cannot be beat if you're in need of a place with room for this many folks. We had an exceptionally great week, and I know that we made memories for all three generations of family during our stay.

Our momcation group of 9 women goes to the beach every Mothers Day. This was the first time staying at Charlie's Place Great House!! The only thing we would recommend is more towels and more toilet paper. Thank you for sharing your beach house!

The house was a lot bigger than I expected. The beds were very comfy. Lots of privacy and an amazing view. I would recommend providing trash sacks for the garbage cans and more than one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, especially with a large party. Access to the beach and the view were the best! The property sits on the beach which is the best part about this house. Floors not as clean as I would have expected, main living area needs some updating and the bedrooms upstairs were nice. Overall it is a wonderful house-just need to ensure whoever cleans pays attentiont to detail. We would come back again.
