About this cottage rental

Located on Orchard Island our cottage was completely remodeled in 2014 with updates in 2024, it is fully furnished with new appliances including washer and dryer. Plenty of outdoor seating along the lakefront perfect for swimming, fishing, or enjoying beautiful sunsets nightly. Set in a cove with great views of the main lake. Wonderful firepit next to the lake to cook hotdogs or marshmallows. Large gas grill. Weekly rentals from Friday to Friday. Linens are provided. Pack-N-Play provided.

We were here to take a trip down memory lane, memories from childhood at the lake more than 60 years ago. What a gorgeous view and comfortable seating to enjoy the lakefront as well as the ability to park a pontoon boat for pickup to go on a special tour that included my brother and his wife. My husband and I spent the two nights and we too call this a five star rental! Just a side note about the 1/2 bath in the laundry room. I took over that space and used the dryer top for all hair and makeup stuff. I brought in a kitchen chair and it became my space. Loved it! Kitchen and dishes amazing, bedding comfortable, and spectrum remote which we understand, lol!

Cottage much larger than expected and the upstairs room with all the beds was so great for our kids! We could look out and see wonderful views from the living area. We also cooked hotdogs on the fire, swam in the beautiful cove, rented a boat that could be docked up to the house (walking distance to boat rental), and quick drives to food and playgrounds. Matt was very responsive and accommodating, and the property was very clean and organized.

We love this neighborhood and the people that stay there. The house has everything you need! The water view is amazing with beautiful sunset views. The host are quick to respond and great to work with. This is our 2nd time staying there and we will definitely be back! Also close to stores, shops and beach. Very open and clean home!

The house was very well appointed and had plenty of bed options for all of us. We were there for an event happening on one of the small islands, so most of my time was spent there. But the early mornings found me sitting in front of this cottage at the water’s, enjoying the sights and sounds. I would definitely stay again.

This was a great house for our “mom’s weekend” to celebrate a 40th birthday. The house was immaculate and communication was great. The sunsets were priceless. We hope to bring our kids back next summer.

We've stayed here several times and it's always been great. The only problem is my 90 year-old mother who can't navigate very well. She will probably not be able to come again. Otherwise, superb! I highly recommend it!

Cute litle cottage with plenty of room for family of 7...lovely decor and view of the lake! Perfect location on Indian lake, close to cute restaurants/bars/donut shop/pizza/groceries! The only complaint is the AC did not work great; but given the extreme heat...probably why. We will be back!

The house is very nice with an excellent view. It was clean and easy to find things. The owner left instruction for how to work the T.V., the check-out process, and other helpful tips which was very nice to have. Fishing off their property was excellent. Over the weekend I managed to land 10+ nice and fat catfish, lots of bluegill, and a few keeper walleye. All in all a good place to stay.

We had a great time. Fishing, taking long walks, and just hanging out in the back yard watching the boats go by. Lots of sailboats which looked so beautiful on the lake. We loved our stay! Myself and my family have been going to Indian Lake for many years. We absolutely loved the Madison Cottage. It was the perfect size and location. The house was decorated beautifully, very clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. The rest of my family stayed in the home next door during this same timeframe. It had been a few years since we’ve all been to the lake due to my husband being on a transplant list. He did receive a transplant back in August of 2022 and this was the perfect location to celebrate his 1 yr anniversary. We definitely plan to return next summer.

Spent the weekend at Madison Cottage, very clean and inviting home and location. We(myself, my husband and our son and his wife and family) stayed here for the second time. The home is very well kept, and had almost everything we needed for our stay. Still needs living room lights that are not coming from the ceiling. Both my husband and son crochet and the over the shoulder light is just not available. Other than that we all had a great time. Enjoyed playing cards at the dining room table, sitting by the lake or mini trips into town to enjoy the local area. All in all, lots of fun for everyone. Many thanks!

Very clean, has everything you need! The house was so cute with nice lake decor. The location on the water was wonderful. The kids and adults were outside the whole time enjoying the lake and the view. We participated in the Labor Day Ring of Fire and that was cool to see. Would love to go and stay again!

I rented this house for a long weekend with my family for my 60 something birthday. The house more than exceded my expectations. I enjoyed the spaciousness and yet convienent access to everything in this house. The outdoor firepit that we didn't have to haul out and back was a defninte plus. Firewood and toilet paper would be a great addition to the many available amenities. Had a great time and caught a variety of fish! Thank-you, your rental property is well worth a return trip.

The shaded back yard is located on the lake with a concrete seawall with sitting area allowing easy access for lake viewing and fishing. The cottage was very comfortable and updated. It was perfect for the 7 of us - grandparents, parents and grandchildren. Very enjoyable stay.

My husband and I stayed with another couple for a quick getaway. This place is right on the lake and has fabulous views that you cannot get in suburbia. There were high quality finishes and had all the kitchen gadgets you would need to make an elaborate dinner. We stayed in the room facing the lake. The bed was comfortably firm, but the pillows were a little too soft for my liking. But, again, the view made it worthwhile. We used the fire pit outback. We went in the “off season” and felt completely secluded. The neighborhood had little to no activity. overall, a great experience.

Myself and a few other girls stayed the weekend and had a great time! The cottage is extremely clean and very cute! It was wonderful to wake up everyday with that beautiful lake view! We are already talking about coming back with our family next year!
