Very nice home on the 6th tee box. Large, spacious and comfortable. Nice to have beach chairs, umbrellas and towels for the many trips to the beach.Negatives were the grill - deflector bars were corroded and sitting on top of the gas burners so it was impossible to control temperatures or avoid flame ups/fires - the grill needs to be replaced.Also the house has high ceilings and many sky lights and high windows which heats the house up to the point the A/C cannot keep up with it. The house got stuffy/warm at night until we started opening windows while sleeping (especially the upper ones) and then we were fine after that.Otherwise the sunsets on the patio were fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the stay, great location, close to two nice swimming and snorkeling areas. It was difficult to keep the living room and master cool with the hot weather, the back rooms with lower ceilings kept cool. Amenities were provided with beach chairs, bikes and snorkeling gear. Very well maintained, clean and a large space for our family.

Booking was easy and property was as described. Communication with Elite Pacific Vacations was prompt and cordial. They wanted a lot of information above the necessary amount for a typical online booking which was odd and a little off putting. Especially since we paid a “VRBO fee” of 10% above their own listing price. Which then made the “only one roll of paper towels” and “mandatory half-stay cleaning fees” rules to be extra frustrating. However if we had saved the unneeded surcharges, we would have been very pleased overall. We were 8. This was one too many adults in retrospect. With three bedrooms and one open front room pull-out couch that can accommodate one adult, the maximum is really three couples and one loner.

This property was vey well kept and in an excellent location. My family and I enjoyed watching the sunsets and all the golfers. We also liked how close the house was to the beach and hiking trails.

This house was perfect for our group, which consisted of 6 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was fully equipped, there was a lot of beach equipment available, toys for the kids to play and a beautiful view. We specially enjoyed seeing the Albatross, Nené and plenty other birds so close by. The house was very comfortable and clean. Jen and April were very responsive too. We had an issue with one of the showers and the handy man was checking it out within just a few hours. A couple of small things, we all thought the dining room could use a bit more light at night, and the shelves in the closet were not of a good quality. We would definitely stay here again!

We had three couples in our group and this house was perfect! Everything was clean and the house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked. The outdoor shower was helpful for muddy shoes. The views from the lanai were amazing - complete with roosters and rainbows!! Great location in Princeville - close to Hanelei Bay, short walk to Queens Bath trailhead and Hideaways Beach trailhead.

Fantastic experience - one of the nicest, most well-appointed rental homes we’ve ever stayed in. Specifically the kitchen had everything you could possibly want or need and we had a professional chef in our group. There were also plenty of beach toys, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs and towels. We had a wonderful time.

Our only recommendation is that a foam pillow top would go a long ways on the beds. The property was amazing, location and views were gorgeous. Check in was a slight pain, not due to property owner/management company. But the states mandate at the time. You won’t be sorry, it is amazing!!!

Our stay here at Half Moon Hana was incredible. Close to stores, food etc.. in Princeville and Hanalei! The home had every amenity of our own homes! The only thing we didn’t use was the bbq, because the local food was so good, we ate out most if not all the time. All in all, I would give it a 10/10! Thank you for letting us bet a part of your Ohana and sharing your Island with us! Absolutely beautiful!!!!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The house was very clean and in a gorgeous location on Kauai. It felt like a home away from home with its lovely kitchen and relaxing family room and patio. The owner provides many household amenities and items for fun beach outings. Having a washer and dryer was a definite plus. It is situated on a resort style golf course and within close proximity to the ocean and mountains. The views are spectacular. The area offers scenic drives, beaches and small towns along the northern coast. Heading to other areas on the island to see waterfalls, small towns and the awe inspiring Waimea Canyon were within reasonable day trip driving distance. I recommend stopping for groceries while in the south end of the island as stores in the north are limited and expensive. Our stay at this home was like experiencing a bit of paradise. We hope to return in the future!

Our family (9 people) stayed a week at Half Moon Hana and we couldn’t have been more pleased. I was worried that our 2 grandkids would miss the big pool at a resort but it was a needless worry. The beaches are fantastic, especially Anini Beach which is about a 10 minute drive from the house. We will definitely stay here again. The home is spacious with everything you need for a fantastic and memorable vacation.

We absolutely loved the property and where it was located. Princeville is in my opinion the best place to stay on the island. You are away from the busy areas which allows you to truly relax. We were able to walk to Queen’s Bath multiple times and experience turtles sleeping in a cave at dawn. All just minutes from this property. We loved this home because we were able to cook each night in a fully functioning kitchen with everything you would need to cook with. We would eat outside and watch the sunset on the ocean. My kids loved being on the golf course and running around to chase the roosters. They were entertained the entire time. I would highly recommend to anyone!

It is a beautiful house on a beautiful golf course. It was a simple process to check in and out, which made it easy and convenient. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and other cooking necessities. Home has air conditioning, which is a huge plus, but also lots of windows to allow the nice breeze in. It was a perfect vacation place and would totally recommend to anyone!

Property was very well maintained and appeared to have had a lot of custom work done on the home. Slept our group of 9 with absolute ease and was a perfect place to bring our two children ages 5 and 3. We were nervous about bringing our two small children but the property had many amenities for them. Each room had a beautiful large flat screen TV equipped with all streaming services and cable shows. They also loved the chickens, roosters, and nene ducks that would walk around the outside of the property. It kept them very entertained. The location of the property is next level as well. Situated right on the premier Makai golf course, the views are tremendously stunning. We were a 10 minute walk from “Queen’s Bath” and 10 minutes away from a cave filled with turtles at sunrise. Being on the north shore offers a quiet setting for relaxation that many of the other islands and city’s can’t compete with. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Kauai. It truly is paradise and and this property is right in the middle of it all. -Scott

A beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the grocery store, gas, etc. and a 2 minute walk to the cliffs overlooking Queen’s Bath. The home was prepped with essential toiletries and kitchen needs which were helpful in the first couple days before we had to head to the store. The property management team was also very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking to stay on the North Shore.

My family and friends all had the most amazing time at Half Moon Hana. It is classy, open, and clean layout made it the perfect place for all of us to stay in. With the golf course and ocean views you can’t help but feel at ease. Perfectly located (close to Hanalei bay, Kapaa, Anini Beach, etc), you’ll never be more than 15 mins to where you want to go on the North Shore. It was always great to get the kids ready, get to the beach for the morning, come back to eat lunch and relax, and then right back to the beach. With big bedrooms, big bathrooms, and comfortable living spaces, not to mention the high speed internet and amenities, you feel like you’re getting a high end villa for a steal of a price! My family and I will definitely be back. We plan on making our trips to Half Moon Hana an annual tradition!

It is walking distance from queens bath and you cannot beat the views on the golf course behind it. Half Moon Hana exceeded every expectation when my wife and I relaxed in Kauai for five days beginning November 11. The home is beautiful and clean, the inside renovations giving it a brand-new, modern feel. Picture windows open to a comfortable breakfast patio adjoining the lush Makai Golf Course, the blue Pacific in view beyond the green. Talk about bang for the buck: We are already planning our return, when the ample rooms will allow us to bring the whole family.

Fantastic Princeville Property

Stayed here with our family of 5. 3 Adult children and my wife and I. Loved this place because: 1) Close proximity to St. Regis Hotel. Used their Spa/Workout facility daily. Despite it’s $65/day fee it was well worth it. 2) Walked every morning to Foodland to pick up provisions for that day’s meals. Don’t forget to bring your own carry out bags. Hawaii charges everyone a fee, although nominal(15 cents) per bag, it’s the principal of conservation. 3) We love to cook and this place has EVERYTHING for that. Unlike other VRBO’s we did not have to search far for cooking utensils nor dinner ware. All appliances are up to date and working. Gas grill on lanai is good. 4). It looks like they recently remodeled the home. Found things in the garage that shows it. Also found in the garage an abundance of flies. Could not find the source but we used the outside garage door entrance because when we used the home door entrance they would quickly fill the home. Fly swatting in the home was an added activity. 5). Proximity to Hanalei town is 2 miles. We could not go past there because of recent rains in April 2018 the road has been washed out. Unable to get to Tunnels Beach or the Kalalau Trailhead. Heard it might take a couple of years to rebuild the road. Will definitely be back here. It’s on the 6th hole of Makai GC. My wife and daughter in law filled our drinks after we teed off from the tee box. Beautiful views of the mountain range and the ocean from the lanai. Well worth the $$ for our family.
