Kristie was great to deal with both before and during our stay and she had the house very clean and roads and walks cleared on arrival during a difficult snow and ice storm. Finding hot chocolate, cookies, bread and a decorated Christmas tree on arrival set a nice tone for our family holiday. Overall a beautiful and very spacious house but in need of repairs, especially with bathroom fixtures. Beds were cozy, there were plenty of towels, and lots of hot water. Kristie attended quickly when the CO2 detector went off. Roads were very well kept throughout the snow and ice storm and the plow driver was very nice. Four-wheel drive was needed for the last hill for portions of our stay, but 2 drivers without 4-wheel drive were able to park at the foot of that hill and walk up. Downstairs was very cold and to get it warm at night we had to heat the middle and upper floors to an uncomfortable level. Kitchen was well equipped. Though there were pictures of the lovely fireplaces in the listing, it was disappointing that none were available to use. Biggest concern was that the listing did not indicate how inaccessible this house would be for anyone with mobility problems, not just wheelchairs. No bannisters on most stairs, particularly the one from the ground floor bedrooms to the main living area, was more of an issue than the number of steps. We definitely recommend that anyone with mobility problems avoid renting this home. Otherwise--fine.

We had a great time at Limestone Lodge for our family reunion. Great communication with the owner/manager.

The house is beautiful overall in an amazing wooded area with a creek nearby. huge house with a ton of rooms, land and seating for eating and lounging. The kitchen, dining room and living room were bright with windows and doors to the decks. The master suite had a very comfortable king bed. There were various concerns and observations from the guests that stayed with us.We booked this home over six months ahead of time expecting all to be in working order.A few hours before we arrived I received a message from the host or management company saying that the air conditioning wasn’t working. They offered a refund if we chose not to stay but it was way too late to find other accommodations. Other reviews also said the air was broken so they were aware of the problem and it should have been rectified OR not offered as a rental. Upon arrival the management had purchased fans to cool the place off a bit. We then received a message saying the hot tub also wasn’t working so they would be giving us a 200 refund for our inconvenience. Also listed in other reviews this was a problem too. So they knew about it and it should have been fixed or taken off the listing as an amenity. The company was very communicative and apologetic and did refund an additional 300. A few other things to note:The rest of the beds were very uncomfortableNone of the tv’s worked except the kitchenThe towels were paper thinThe door to the deck didn’t workThere was no deck furniture except 2 chairs
