Discover the historic and charming town of Amboise, while staying in 'Le Clos Fleuri', your cottage along the Loire, surrounded by a peaceful garden.
Le Clos Fleuri is 2 minutes by car from the center of Old Town Amboise, on the Quai des Violettes, surrounded by gardens, with a terrace for relaxing to taste the local wines and delicacies found at the Amboise Open Market!

Le Clos Fleuri cottage offers you the privacy of a full sized home (1000 square feet) surrounded by peaceful gardens (2000 square feet).
There is parking for 3 cars within the grounds.

The cottage is spacious with a fully equipped and modern kitchen, comfortably furnished living room/dining room, with 2 sets of glass doors opening directly onto its terrace.

There are 2 bedrooms.
The main bedroom has an electric bed with controls to adjust each side to the perfect position, and double glass doors opening onto the terrace, overlooking the lush garden.
The second bedroom also has a large double bed, and a double window with metal shutters.
All windows have been recently replaced and are double-paned.

The new sofa in the living room is convertible and transforms into another double bed = 3 beds total.
The bright and modern bathroom has a shower and window.
The WC is separate.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and includes - cooktop, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer.
There is also a dishwasher, and a washing machine.

The cottage has been lovingly renovated with all new electrical system and updated plumbing.
Of course Le Clos Fleuri is equipped with High-Speed Internet/Wifi, Cable TV, and a telephone that allows you to call Internationally for Free.

Amboise, with its Royal Palace, Shopping district along the Rue Nationale, with its Clock Tower, clothing and antique shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, cheese shops, bakeries, bike rentals, etc. is minutes from your charming cottage along the Loire.
The popular Amboise Open Market, along the Loire River, is held 2 days per week, and the Chateau Clos Luce, the last home of Leonardo da Vinci, now a museum in his honor, is worth a look.

After a day of visiting the quintessential Chateaux of the Loire Valley, you will have the pleasure of returning to your Amboise chez-vous, with secured, and gated off street parking, and make a meal in your modern kitchen, to be enjoyed on your terrace!
Or, you might decide to visit one of the endless restaurants, bistros and cafés that line the Place du Chateau, the Rue Nationale, the Loire River or on the amazing island, Île d'Or, off the Amboise bridge in the middle of the Loire River. There's even a Michelin starred restaurant in Amboise -- Le Choiseul.

Lovely, clean, well stocked. Beautiful garden. Very accessible. Easy communication with agent and the owner, Serge, came daily to tend to the front vegetable plot (but didn't come in to the back garden) and was really sweet. We had one child stay on the sofa bed which was comfortable but the room has no divide from the kitchen - something to be mindful of. Location is great if you want to go to Tours, Blois, Loche and, of course, Amboise. It is just off the road but we couldn't hear it and were not bothered by it. We would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely property and wonderful garden with lots of shade and birds singing all day. Kitchen well equipped and 2 nice double bedrooms. we had 3 fans, one in each bedroom and one in the sitting area. It was 38 degrees some days so this was really necessary.Quite a long walk into Amboise, but I guess the heat didn't help with this.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Le Clos Fleuri. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. Lovely kitchen if one chose to cook. Veronica left a lovely hand written welcome note. There was a also wine and tomatoes from their garden! Steven was extremely helpful. Always responded to my questions, perhaps too many, very quickly. Great location, about 5 minute drive to the center of Amboise. We will definitely stay there again when in France.

A lovely house and gardens, just a 20 minutes walk to Amboise which is so beautiful, comfortable beds, good kitchen and bathroom, restaurant within walking distance of 300yds which was superb, ate there twice as well eating on the patio under the electric awning, a lovely holiday, Thank you

We have stayed in a lot of gites etc over many years and this is right up with the best. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable, there is nothing to fault. Our welcome from Veronica was warm and her advice helpful. It is a wonderful base from which to explore a beautiful region. Waking up each morning to bird song (including a cuckoo) before coffee on the terrace was a delight.

House on quiet street just a few minutes drive into central Amboise. House is furnished very well, and is light and comfortable. We did not meet our host, but he was in touch when necessary. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at le Clos Fleuri. It is a comfortable house and is well equipped with everything you need. The house was spotlessly clean. The patio is very pleasant overlooking a beautiful well maintained garden. It is situated near to the beautiful town of Amboise, with plenty to see and do. The property manager was extremely helpful and everything went seamlessly. We will definitely stay here again, should we return to Amboise. Anthea & Mike Hall

Even better than the description

Many times the description of a property is a bit exaggerated. In the case of this property we think it is understated. It is so apparent that the managers care about their visitors. The property is so well outfitted with just about everything you need in a holiday rental. Appliances, supplies, decor and the welcoming is top rate. Impressively, there was a booklet that explained everything you needed to function in the house; the instructions were clear, illustrated well, and made it easy to understand the workings in the house during our stay. And, because of health issues, we had to make some special requests. They were handled with great care and did not make us feel like we were making our stay inconvenient. That was very much appreciated. The only minor, very minor, negative is that we wished there had been at least a couple of English-speaking TV channels for us to enjoy during the evening. They were missing during our channel searches. Again, a very minor issue. Steven and Veronica, thank you for a wonderful stay. We could not have been more pleased with our visit.

We have nearly 40 years experience of staying in rental properties in France, and can honestly say that Le Clos Fleuri is one of the best. It is immaculate both inside and out. It is obviously someone's home because it is so very well equipped and cared for. Amboise is a 5 minute drive for its facilities and restaurants. The location is perfect for visiting the many beautiful chateaux in this region. We actually met Serges the owner. A charming man and very helpful too despite not speaking English but understood our not too brilliant French! He tended his vegetables and lovely garden about twice a week. He was not intrusive and we enjoyed talking with him over a beer. The main road running alongside part of the property was not that busy, and did not bother us at all. When returning from a days touring, it was lovely to sit and relax on the patio to unwind with a glass of wine looking out on to the garden. We were unfortunate to be there during the heatwave (canicule), but it did not spoil what was the very enjoyable holiday. Booking was easy and the property manager (Steven) could not have been more helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we have decided to return next year (all being well with a forthcoming major operation) To sum up, the property is excellent as is the location.

Logement très propre, très bien équipé en cuisine, avec tout le minimum pour voyager léger (épices, liquide vaisselle, lessive etc...) avec draps et serviettes fournis. Très bonne réactivité des gérants qui sont très disponibles. Je n’hésiterais pas à relouer si nous revenions en Loire

Location bien située pour la visite des Châteaux de la Loire notamment. Maison très propre avec des produits de qualité laissés à disposition . 2 grandes chambres, salon agréable et cuisine bien agencée et fonctionnelle. La literie peut-être à revoir car un peu souple mais c'est un détail. Maison très calme.

Maison sympathique,propre,avec un très beau jardin d'agrément et un très beau(et bon!)potager en bord de Loire,à quelques mn en voiture d'Amboise.Idéale pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire et le zoo de Beauval. Grande cuisine récente avec tout le matériel-trop même!- pour se faire de bons petits plats.Le reste de la maison est meublé assez rustique,mais plutôt en bon état. Belle terrasse sur l'arrière,au sud pour profiter de la quiétude des lieux.Un regret:l'absence de chaises longues pour se prélasser dans le jardin. Nous recommandons cette adresse sans hésitation.
