Villa Kanada

The view was stunning. Jelena met us at the villa to hand over keys and show us around to make sure we knew where everything was. It was the perfect spot to have relaxation but not to far from the old town. We would definitely come back again. It had all the amenities needed to stay in for a quiet evening with home cooked food with a stunning view on the terrace. Perfect for a family of 4 . We only went as a couple so had lots of room ❤️. Had amazing host Jelena who text us with lots of options for dinner reservations.

I have to start with the view. Its stunning. Next, the house is so charming, cozy, and clean. A lovely beach is a very short drive and not a bad walk (though coming back it’s quite a hike up hill - wear sneakers). The property manager who greeted us was very friendly and overall the staff was very easy to interact with. The kitchen is fully stocked - wonderful.

The villa has been renovated to a very high standard both indoors and outdoors with a lovely outdoor terrace to appreciate the wonderful sea and island views. A bottle of wine was waiting for us which was a very nice touch. There is everything that you need in the villa including a balcony/terrace parasol umbrella, barbecue, dishwasher, washing machine, filter coffee and coffee pod machines, and air con in several rooms including the bedrooms. Even the small things like clingfilm, coffee filters and ground coffee, washing up liquid, as well as dressing gowns, sauna towels and a beach umbrella, were already there when we arrived. Brsecine is slightly remote and up a hill but this was fine for us. We hired a car as we like the freedom and for us there was nothing within a reasonable walking distance from the villa. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill but we did not use it. The house manager can be contacted if there are any issues or any questions. We only asked him about activities really such as hiring boats etc. We had some slight issues with COVID guidelines from the UK but the owners were very understanding and allowed us to change our reservation dates last minute to the following day at no extra cost.

Nothing really that we didn't like, more suggestions for future improvements. The building next door is currently a building site, which is not the end of the world to look at but, on the Saturday only, there were some builders on site whom did make quite a bit of noise (mixing cement etc.) and were stood literally outside the front door of the property. Luckily it was for one day only and we went out for the day so it was not a problem, this may be something to ask about before your stay or during if it occurs. When we arrived at the villa there were a couple of broken items, mainly wine glasses and snorkel set, which we alerted the house manager about, however, not a problem as there were plenty of glasses for us to use otherwise. There were a few times we wanted to eat outside on the balcony/terrace when it was already a bit too dark and the outdoor lights were not quite enough to allow us to do this/see what we were eating. The seating on the balcony/terrace is absolutely fine, but if the owners were ever thinking of updating these, a slightly more comfy lounge-like outdoor sofa would be even more perfect. We did not use the terrace next to the parking area as it felt a bit too open for us. There are midges about in general in Croatia in the evenings, so if you want to sit outside we would recommend some mosquito repellant. The view is outstanding, we wish that phone companies would just not put up massive telephone poles that get in the way of it.

As beautiful as the pictures were for Villa Kanada, I was surprised that it was actually even more beautiful! The first thing you see when you open the main door into the courtyard is a luscious orange tree. The view from the terrace is phenomenal, as we enjoyed a glass of wine watching the sunset over the Adriatic. The villa is spotless and has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. Firm yet soft, with high quality linens. Jure greeted us on arrival and was very informative and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
