The Mauna Lani properties are a great area to stay, nice restaurants, beautiful view and grounds. The Terrace area in particular is home to a more mature group. The updated pool/hottub had several covered areas and were really well done. Our particular unit was very dated though; the couches needed to go, not comfortable. The dryer could barely dry the clothes, the towels would take at least 3 hours to dry. And those towels were from the ABC store, which also bothered me; at least get the nicer towels from Costco for goodness sake. Finally, the bathroom showers had a very unusual set up. If I recall others have noted the same concerns, and they still exist. It's time for an update.

The original condo we expected had a problem with air conditioning, so Kona offered us a substitute. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was absolutely beautiful. There were ample beach items, absolutely lovely furnishings, an outdoor bar area and room for family members staying at three additional condos at Mauna Lani Estates to enjoy a meal on the outdoor patio Together. The furnishings were lovely and beds were comfortable. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

This is our fifth time back to these condos. First time for this one specifically. Yes, the decor is somewhat dated in many of these condos, but honestly it is just about enjoying a relaxing and super functional condo close to so many potential activities. Would absolutely be back! Thank you !

Property was decorated to give you the Hawaiian feel inside as well as you look at the outside. One minor issue resolved right away. Short walk to a nice beach with chairs and cabana available to people who stayed at Mauna Lani Terrace.

I highly recommend this property. I was a little nervous going in with a couple of the past reviews…however we did not see a single ant while there nor did I feel like furniture was worn. We felt this was an idyllic place to stay for our week in Hawaii. The pool was mostly quiet (I had the pool to myself for my morning lap swims), loved walking to the beach club for a cabana and then some lunch, and then loooved the short walk over to the beautiful Mauna Lani resort. We went there for drinks, dinner, etc. The grounds are all gorgeous. The lanai has the most beautiful view and perfect for watching the sunset. Fav spots close by: Lava Lava Beach Club, Canoe House, Kukio Beach.

My family loved our time here. Great setup. Beautiful view from the condo, beautiful walk to the beach club with amazing snorkeling, walking distance to a couple hotels and nearby plaza for groceries/restaurants. Only issue was the screen doors don’t fully close to lock/seal out bugs (no big deal) and not a direct sunset view from the lanai (great excuse to sit on the provided beach lounge chairs a short walk away and closer than the beach club). Would love to come back!

The property was as described and in a great location. Plenty of room for our family of 4, good sized kitchen with many amenities. Things are outdated and they did not supply conditioner or lotion which was surprising. There was a small ant issue but they had insect spray which helped. Nice space on the lanai with a great view. We could easily get to the beach, pool and walk to dinner. Overall a great stay!

We had a relaxing stay at this Mauna Lani Terrace condo. The reason that I could not give 5 stars was because it took us two days to resolve an issue with the property manager at the start of our visit. There were no blankets or potholders in the condo and it took 4 emails to convince them of this fact. The starter supplies were also a little skimpy compared to what we're used to, but other than that, the condo was great.

This property and location is a gem! The beach is even closer than it looks and is easier to walk to than drive as long as your group is not limited by mobility. It's also perfect for teenagers as they had the freedom to explore everywhere on foot. Our family enjoyed the condo, the lanai and the property. If you want the amenities of a luxury resort without the crowds at the pool, the same beautiful beach and the bonus of a kitchen and washer and dryer, I recommend this 100 percent! Everything was seemless, from the check in to check out, the availability of the concierge and their recommendations, and of course the weather. So many highlights- the sunsets, the golf course, the hikes AND we caught a 444 pound Marlin. Hope to come back some day. I am very glad to have discovered the Mauna Lani Terrace!

We loved everything about the condo during our stay at Mauna Lani. The condo was spacious, clean, comfortable and conveniently located to beaches. We would love to stay again but do have a couple of suggestions....our flight was delayed out of SFO and therefore we arrived after dark, so it would have been really nice to have had a few basic provisions supplied for morning; coffee, tea, cream, sugar etc. But the cupboards and refrigerator were bare except for some spices. We have never before stayed in a condo that didn't supply at least a few basics. Also, in the bathrooms there was soap and shampoo, that's it. No cream rinse, lotion, cotton swabs, etc. Again, even a hotel supplies these basics. It just felt a little cheap for such a nice place to stay.

The Mauna Lani Terrace condos are the perfect setting for a peaceful, quiet and beautiful vacation. The condo is lovely and well taken care of. The property is quiet, and seems like it's more for adults. It's a great location on the Kohala coast - very easy to get around to great sites.

This is a lovely condo. It is clean and well-equipped. We loved looking over the fish lagoon from our lanai and enjoyed the easy walk to a sheltered beach. We stayed 10 days and felt at home. We did not, however, like the bathroom bowl sinks and would encourage the owner to remove and install normal sinks for a much easier use of the bathroom. There is no sink stopper and this makes it tough for contact lense wearers. The sinks are cumbersome. Also, the bed in the smaller bedroom needs a better mattress. Having said that, we would come back to this condo again. We enjoyed our stay!

Let me first start by saying that the location of the condo and the view are great. The condo itself is spacious and the layout is good. Some aspects have been updated, while others not. A few key observations: * If you're at all sensitive to 'sound transfer' from adjoining units, I would not recommend this unit. Anytime the tenants in the unit above would open / close doors to the lanai, closet doors, or move / slide their dining / kitchen chairs in / out, we easily heard it. At times, it became comical the amount of noise that was generated. * Ants in the kitchen and bathrooms were very problematic. Yes, ants are very present in the tropics and can be problematic in units; however, it’s a treatable problem. This unit requires attention. * It required 3 calls to the management company to fix the toilet that constantly cycled in the master bath. Despite the plumber leaving me a note to please install the parts (on his behalf) because he didn’t have a key to the unit (or reach out to the management company), it was eventually taken care of. Would I rent this unit again? Likely not.

We found our new favorite condo at Mauna Lani Terraces. Everything was perfect. The condo is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. We were impressed with how neat and tidy everything was. We spent 10 nights here and really hated to leave. Hopefully this unit will be available next year when we are ready to book our trip.

Really enjoyed this property. Everything is updated and well stocked. The only issue we had was there was exterior painting going on this property and had painters on the Lani with out any warning. Better communication with property manager and vacation rental management could have prevented the surprise.

We LOVED this condo! It was perfect for us! We spent so much time on the balcony and the pool. It's in a great location. Could walk to the beach and to the grocery store. Could not have been more perfect!! Really appreciated that there was hand soap, paper towels, dishwashing liquid and pods. They really thought of everything!!
