About this house rental
Beautiful, spacious, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, family home in the Berkshires located on a private road on crystal clear Richmond Pond with private dock for swimming and boating. Our home in the Berkshires is comfortable and clean with hardwood floors, skylights, spacious closets, and wood paneling. We have a shower bath combination in the master bedroom (on the main floor), energy efficient washer and dryer, Weber gas grill, and lush landscaping. There are air conditioners in each of the 3 bedrooms and one downstairs in the living/dining room. There are many books, games, a fully equipped kitchen with a table and six chairs plus additional dining room table which seats up to 8. We provide clean linens, a rowboat, 2 kayaks, life preservers, and many water toys. The house sleeps 7 people in comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom with queen bed and twin bed and full bath (with shower/tub) are on the main floor. One upstairs bedroom has a double bed, and the second upstairs bedroom has twin bed; a bathroom with toilet and sink are also upstairs. There is a second shower in an adjacent building with changing room and electricity and plenty of hot water (with a separate water tank). There is a large wooden deck with a table, umbrella, and chairs and Weber gas grill. No smoking. Good quality Spectrum Wireless Internet is provided, plus cable TV (flat screen). (Note that WIFI was installed in 2016 so earlier reviews do not list it.) Fishing is excellent in Richmond Pond; it is stocked with a variety of perch, pumpkinseed, bream, bluegill, rock bass, bullhead, brook trout, brown trout, crappie, largemouth bass and pickerel. It is a 15 minute drive to Tanglewood (summer home of the Boston Symphony in Lenox); also close to Berkshire Theatre Festival, Stockbridge; Barrington Stage, Pittsfield; Great Barrington; Jacob’s Pillow; and Williamstown. Albany airport is 1 hour away. Hiking, biking, and water skiing are all available. Note that the daily rate on the calendar is for the base rate of 2 person occupancy; extra persons require a $30 per person per night fee.

We enjoyed our stay at the home in Pittsfield. There were five adult family members and a dog. The place was clean, easy entry and good communication with the owner. The kitchen was well stocked, and there wasn’t one thing that we wish we had brought with us.We enjoyed the rowboat and two kayaks. Also, we enjoyed the fact that there were many restaurants located close by as well as the two museums that we visited ..the Berkshire train museum and the Norman Rockwell museum.

We had a nice 3 night stay. We brought our dog and teenage son. It was very relaxing and the pond is beautiful. The house was comfortable and close to many restaurants and hiking mountains.

A pleasant host who was very responsible and responsive. A missing shed key was resolved before it even became an issue, and a tree blown over in the night (leaning on the power line) was cleared that morning. A lovely, comfortable lake cottage, in a beautiful setting, and great location in the Berkshires.
