About this house rental
Casablanca Living is a Hacienda Style, all Stone, 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom, 6000+ Square Foot Home of total privacy, security and amenities. Your self-catering home is fully equipped with the latest appliances, furnishings, decor, amenities, garden, lounging and large pool! And just steps away from many shops, services and night life.
We are located nine blocks from Grand Plaza and three blocks from Santiago Park.
A large swimming pool with a hammock lying across the it, allows for cool water lounging, or be shaded under the covered cabana with casual seating and shade for relaxing by the pool, as you look out onto the huge tropical garden. It allows you the peace and quiet to really relax, while you sit back and watch as outdoor fire pit is made for evening fires or open fire barbecue.
There are 3 different rooms, all of which are very large and very spacious.
BEDROOM 1 - The Mater Suite: Overlooks the pool, garden and cabana and has a private bathroom and sunken tub and shower.
BEDROOM 2 - The En-suite Bedroom: is located inside the home with a fully equipped, completely private bathroom with rain shower and comes with soaps, fresh towels & shampoo. The Bed is King size and is a “Hanging Bed” that makes one feel as if being rocked to sleep.
BEDROOM 3 - The Front Room is just as spacious as the 1st and 2nd rooms and comes with The Bed is King size “Hanging Bed” as well, however the private washroom for this room is just steps outside the room. It too is fully stocked and has a rain shower as well.
All of the bedding comes with either Italian Cotton Sateen Sheets or Linen sheets, with Ultra Soft, Non Allergenic Pillows, Air Conditioning, Armoires and Unique Bedside Pullout Tables.
The BATHROOMS: Include Shampoo, Conditioner, Fresh Bath Towels, Hand Towels & Face Cloths, Mats, Robes, Blow Dryer and Rain Showers. An Iron & Ironing Board is also available.
The Kitchen: An enormous full kitchen with all the essential utensils, dishes and glassware, frost-free refrigerator with filtered water dispenser and ice machine, 5-burner gas oven, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker a full dining area.
The outdoor space (the yard & pool areas) make up the balance covering 3800 Square Feet of garden, sun and shade. It consists of 18+ tropical plants, trees and spices including an Avocado Tree, Lime Trees, a Niranya (sour orange) Tree and various other Tropical floral trees, Palms, Fresh Herbs, a Stone Path surrounding the perimeter of a beautifully manicured lawn with a Barbecue Pit in the middle.
Further amenities include: Digital Projector for Theater Style Movies (screen size – 5 meters / 3 meters), Panasonic Stereo, 30+ Movies, 25 mp3 DVDs with 100s of Great Music Selections, Fast Wireless/Fiber Optic Internet, House Reference Book, Sofas, Chairs & Tables, Extensive lighting and Traditional Yucatan, Hand Made Hammock & plenty of Authentic Art from Local Artists.
In the evening the entire home is lit to emphasize the beauty of the surroundings. Most people don’t even want to leave as it is truly so calming.

Casablanca and hosts Steve and Sanda provided us with the most exceptional Merida, Yucatan holiday experience. The property is an architectural and artistic gem, conveniently located in Merida’s historic centre. Beautiful art adorns the spacious interior and the garden/pool area is an oasis. Every attention to detail is graciously and meticulously provided by the hosts. Many thanks to Steve and Sanda for sharing their exquisite property with our family.

This was the perfect house for our two week escape from the US. Due to covid we have been doing very little for the last very stressful 8 months. When we got to Casablanca we were met by Steve and Sanda who welcomed us and showed us everything about the house. When we walked in the doors there was such a wonderful calming vibe that we felt all of the stress from the last eight months lift right off our minds and bodies! The house was so perfect that we hardly left. We only left to get groceries and to go out for dinner several nights and several days we did not even leave at all!! Steve offered many great suggestions for restaurants and a bakery very near the house.The house was even better than in the pictures. It was so comfortable and had every convenience. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was fabulous and the back garden was very thoughtfully designed. It was so peaceful and tranquil that it did not feel as if we were in the middle of a large city. The neighborhood was very nice and very walkable to all that we needed. The garden lighting at night was very romantic and made spending evenings outdoors great. Steve's selection of music enhanced the peaceful vibe. We enjoyed spending some evenings in watching the large projection home theater system.Overall it all it was more than we could hoped for. We look forward to returning. Thank you Steve and Sanda for creating such a wonderful escape!
