About this house rental
La CASA DE LOS XOLOS is an authentic, unique, and charming space—comfortable and full of decorative surprises. It features three bedrooms and two fully equipped apartments, all of which are spacious and come with a private bathroom, terrace, coffee maker, air conditioning, and fans. Entrance hall, living room, kitchen, and terrace with a table. The small, charming garden features two lounge chairs; a pool that overlooks a cenote filled with plants; and a fountain with aquatic plants and fish—all of which will make your stay unforgettable. Mérida is known for its humid climate, so you may encounter some harmless insects in certain areas of the accommodations.
Upon your arrival, we offer you a complimentary amenity kit containing: water, coffee from Chiapas, tea, sugar, milk substitute, as well as oil and salt to make your morning aromatic and relaxing. Additional kits are available for a fee.
By order of the Mexican government, smoking is prohibited within the complex. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
For stays longer than one week, a weekly fee of $600.00 MXN will be charged.

This is a truly unique place to stay. I am not even sure how to describe it. I think it is typically a hotel to rent just one room or one of the 2 apartments, but we were able to rent the entire place for our family. I would say that I wouldn't recommend it for young children under 8 because of the metal board walks upstairs. My kids are teens and had a great time looking at the eclectic artwork. All the bedrooms were wonderful. We had to leave the one on the bottom floor due to tiny ants all over the bed (a common problem in Mexico), but we had plenty of room upstairs. The patio is gorgeous, but bring bug repellent. We were bitten many times by mosquitoes and our "all natural" bug bracelets didn't help. All in all this is a unique experience.
