Cabin getaway with dramatic Whiteface mountain views, less than 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain and just 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Located across street from Ausable River and nearby DEC trail to access west branch of river. Wrap around front porch(half of which is covered) and open field great for outdoor activities including fire pit. 1 bedroom plus a sleeping loft area, 2 bathrooms and walk out lower level. Lower level includes game room( pool table combo), bunk room, bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom. First floor includes well furnished kitchen, beautiful stone fireplace and TV area(blue ray suitable for DVD's and Netflix but no cable), dining area with table for 6(along with breakfast counter)/family room with vaulted ceiling, master bedroom and full bathroom. Loft area includes bedroom with 1 queen and 2 twin beds. Large windows throughout offering dramatic mountain views. Wireless internet offered. The cabin was perfect for our needs. We stayed there for the Lake Placid Ironman and wanted a peaceful location outside of town. Travel to and from Lake Placid on race day was somewhat challenging for my friends/family staying with us but not insurmountable. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I loved sitting out on the porch drinking coffee every morning. The gorgeous 20 minute drive to town was worth it in exchange for the serenity of the cabin. Would definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a fantastic experience staying at your house. It was well maintained and ideally situated for us to explore the surrounding area. Quick car ride to Lake Placid and close to hiking trails as well.
The beds were very comfortable and the kids loved the loft area. Great firepit outside as well. We definitely recommend this house for families of 4-6 people.

We had a great stay here over the July 4th holiday. The house was perfect for us a we like to be close to Lake Placid and Wilmington, but away from the crowds. The house is located in a secluded, quiet area. We enjoyed the wrap around porch for morning coffee, the large front yard for games as well as the firepit at night. Would highly recommend staying here.

We had an absolutely lovely time in this cozy house. The owners thought of everything - comfort, entertainment, etc . The layout is great, location can't be beat.Our family loved our stay and highly recommend the location.
