Rancho Del Sol is nestled in the beautiful hill country of Fredericksburg, Texas. The ranch comes complete with central a/c and heating, comfy beds, linens & pillows, dishes, BBQ pit, Television, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, washer, dryer, and huge stone fireplace. Kitchen, living, and dining room areas are large and spacious. The dining table seats 10 people. The couches are over sized and cozy enough to sleep in. The front porch is a great place for that morning cup of coffee while sitting on a rocking chair savoring the rolling hills, scenic vistas, and abundant wildlife which include white-tailed deer, turkey, dove, axis, black buck antelope, fallow, elk and zebra. It's a 232 acre TEXAS SAFARI. Great for hiking and biking, or take the kids arrowhead searching near the pond.

The main lodge/house has beds for party of 8 (1 queen king bed, 2 queen beds, and 2 twin beds), plus 4 twin air mattresses available for use.

The cabin (2nd building) located approximately 100 yards from the main house has an additional beds for 5 (queen bed, 1 queen sleeper sofa, 1 twin bed,) with its own bathroom, kitchen sink and mini fridge. There is no additional charge for use of the cabin, but there is an additional $125 housekeeping fee for housekeeping.

The ranch has a gorgeous private pool with grotto and water fall that is perfect for those hot Texas summer days. Natural springs feed the creek and fishing pond and is stocked with catfish and perch. Don’t forget to bring your own tackle and bait!!!!

The town of Fredericksburg has great food, quaint shops, and several wineries. If your adventurous, then we suggest taking a hike up Enchanted Rock, or watching the daily immersion and return of bats at the Old Tunnel Management Area , or possibly a visit to The Wild Seed Farm. If you don't mind the drive, then San Antonio, Texas is just 1 hour away!!!

Kubota ATV available for rent at $69 per day, and must be rented for the total number of nights in reservation.

The pet fee of $200 is for 2 pets. Case by case basis on pets.

Please note: Base lodging rate is for double occupancy (2 guests), there is an additional charge per additional guest per night. We had a great time at the ranch. It had something for everyone. Just relaxing in the pool, driving around the property in the atv, watching sunrise and sunset on the deck. Also, Fredericksburg is close by and offers museums, shopping, winery’s and restaurants. All in all, it’s plan on booking again.

Excellent communication with the host. Prompt replies to my questions and OMG, did I mention the Zebras? A beautiful ranch home tucked away in the hill country. The swimming pool was frosty and the beds comfy. You need to stay here and just bask in the quiet. My whole family loved it and we will be back again and again.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Rancho Del Sol. The photos do not do it justice. The ATV rental is a must! All 4 kids caught a fish in the pond, including 2 first timers! They loved swimming and seeing all of the animals. A couple of things that were not obvious when reading the listing was that 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom are in the separate cabin. The main house is a 4/2 with one primary bathroom and one jack and Jill bathroom. The other piece that I looked over initially was the price listed is only for 2 guests! There is an additional charge for each guest after 2. So make sure to read the fine print! However, we wouldn’t have changed a thing; our stay was perfect for our two families!

This is our second stay at this beautiful ranch. We took our dogs with us and they had so many enrichment activities joining us on our adventures, talking walks, exploring the property and discovering all the exotic animals. The swimming pool was the perfect way to cool off and relax on the hot summer days. The house was immaculate and had gorgeous Texas decor. The yard is fenced in and taken great care of. We loved sitting on the back porch watching all the animals. It was amazing to see the donkey being the leader coming to feed in back of the house followed by so many exotics. We will definitely plan future vacations here.

Very nice property, great views of the hill country, cozy and comfortable accommodations, and getting the chance to see the wildlife including the Zebras was really nice. The only downside to this place was the scorpions that were found inside the main house and the cabin and the huge wasps that weren’t aggressive towards us but they were pretty scary and we were led to believe the pool would be usable but it wasn’t. It wasn’t heated and the pool filter system wasn’t working so it was pretty dirty. All in all, we had a nice time!

We so enjoyed being back in the Hill Country. My husband and I took our grandson on his first trip into the Hill Country. We all enjoyed the abundance of wildlife - both native and exotics. Lovely sunrises and beautiful night skys. The amenities provided everything we needed. Outside we loved the pool, the pond and exploring the ranch. We rented the ATV. There is a map of the ranch in garage. Worth checking out before you start exploring

Beautiful high fence ranch. Lots of white tail, fallow and axis deer. Rams, zebras, and more. House was great and the pool was perfect for our four day getaway from Houston’s august heat. We had a blast. Awesome views, sunsets and we even had a lighting show. Overall a terrific place to visit.

Biggest problem was the electronic gate code. The gate does not work as programmed. You literally have to pull the pin then manually open the gate and then manually close it and fight the closer until you can pin it again. Needs serious work. REAL pain. Pool nice but needs cleaning. Atmosphere very far like as advertised and many animals. Probably not suited for couples but plenty so for families. We would not choose to go again because of the gate hassle

Rent the Kubota and scout the property. You will be enthralled at the exotic animals and the rugged terrain!

My husband and I stayed here for a much needed time of rest. This home is absolutely lovely and very peaceful. We were visited each morning and evening by all of the natural wildlife. It is quiet and secluded which was great for us. The pool was a hit with us as well since it has been so extremely hot this summer. Would love to come back with family when we get the chance. The drive to town isn’t to far if you feel the need to do some shopping or sight seeing! Great place!!

Nice country/ranch atmosphere with deer, turkey, and even zebra, and beautiful pool. The property manager, Danny, was outstanding. The only drawbacks were the house had a really bad mice problem and the promised ATV which we were charged $70 per day was out of order. the second day the property manager let us use the owners but we were never reimbursed for the first day of not having one. Also, the grass was not mowed. With that kind of fee being charged, very disappointing. Also the VRBO host manager, Lanette Martinez, never answered any of our questions. Very poor communication from her. All she responded was demanding payment, seemed to be all she was interested in, did not answer one question. Will never deal with her again, no matter the property.

This is our 3rd time to stay at the ranch…it’s becoming a family tradition lol. Lots of room to roam, peaceful and away from the crowds, pool was sparkling and COLD, very welcome on hot Texas days! The yard is fenced and kept our 2 little dogs from escaping. The house was pristine and smelled so clean. The Kubota was an extra treat as we drove around to see the wildlife. I highly recommend this hidden paradise!

This placed fulfilled all our county living fantasies. As my kids put it as we drove through the backroads to the property, “we are out in the boonies!” We loved the peace of sitting on the porch watching wildlife and listening to birds as we took in the views of rolling hills. Renting the kubota is a must! We saw the zebra multiple times and they even came through by the front porch one night. The kids enjoyed the pool and running around the land. Freedom! The house is big, comfortable, very clean and well stocked! We’re glad we stocked up at Walmart before we arrived because we ended up not wanting to even go into Fredericksburg as planned once we arrived.

We had a wonderful girls weekend celebrating my friend’s upcoming wedding. The decor and setting is uniquely Texas Hill Country and the home is well-stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching all the animals.

Excellent get away for us, too many pros to list but I will try: the wildlife viewing on the property is second to none and right off the huge porch, Kubota to get you around the property, fire pit with plenty of wood, extremely well stocked home, close enough to Fredericksburg for a fairly easy short drive, pool looks great but a little cold this time of year for our visit, stocked pond (we caught about 8 largemouth bass in roughly 2 hours), has WiFi off and on but we weren’t there for the WiFi, we filled up the hummingbird feeder twice in 4 days because they just kept drinking it up, plenty of space for the 6 of us adults. Cons: mattress a little hard but still slept fine, biggest con is we didn’t stay longer, BUT will definitely be back!!!

This was our second trip for Thanksgiving to this property. We love the acreage, driving the Kubota around with our dog, using the gun range and just being in the beautiful Texas Hill Country surrounded by nature. The house is so clean and lacks nothing at all in terms of what you might need in the kitchen or bathroom. There was a full stock of firewood to use as well. We would recommend this place to anyone.

The house is very spacious and has pretty much everything you need except your food. The property is beautiful but is a bit of a drive to any store or restaurant. It was great for my dogs with the fenced yard and large front and back porch. The animals came by the house a few times but you really need an ATV to get around the property to see them.

This is an absolutely stunning property in The Hill County. My husband and I planned this family trip with our adult college age kids and our small dogs and we all had the best time (including our pets)! The main house is beautifully decorated with the special touches of Texas decor. It had all the comforts of home in every room. What impressed me was the great care the homeowner takes to her yard in making it enjoyable and very pet friendly. Both the house and pool area were fully enclosed where my little dogs had the best time running around and hanging out with the family. The grass in the fenced yard of the house is plush with excellent maintenance. I was pleasantly surprised to have no issues with fire ants or other critters as expected for Texas. Our dogs could fully engage in roaming around safely outside in the enclosed areas. Our one small dog was a huge fan of wildlife and would vigilantly watch for them from the porch. We loved seeing all the wildlife, especially the zebras. The horses were adorable and friendly and great posers for pictures. The pool is so refreshing and relaxing for this hot weather. It even has a spacious attached sitting area with shady trees. We also rented the extra cabin which was cozy and close to the house. The house was cleaned very nicely for our stay and the homeowner is very friendly and prompt in helping us plan our trip. We are so grateful to the homeowner for opening up their beautiful property for us to stay at! We will definitely be back for future family trips.

We had a great long weekend at Ranch Del Sol. It was so relaxing watching the deer from the front porch every morning and evening. There are even a trio of Zebras wandering around on the property. Speaking of the property, it's huge so be sure and rent the ATV to go exploring. The pool was cool so it was so nice to jump in after a hot day exploring Fredericksburg. We will for sure be back for a longer stay.
