Rancho Del Sol is nestled in the beautiful hill country of Fredericksburg, Texas. The ranch comes complete with central a/c and heating, comfy beds, linens & pillows, dishes, BBQ pit, Television, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, washer, dryer, and huge stone fireplace. Kitchen, living, and dining room areas are large and spacious. The dining table seats 10 people. The couches are over sized and cozy enough to sleep in. The front porch is a great place for that morning cup of coffee while sitting on a rocking chair savoring the rolling hills, scenic vistas, and abundant wildlife which include white-tailed deer, turkey, dove, axis, black buck antelope, fallow, elk and zebra. It's a 232 acre TEXAS SAFARI. Great for hiking and biking, or take the kids arrowhead searching near the pond.
The main lodge/house has beds for party of 8 (1 queen king bed, 2 queen beds, and 2 twin beds), plus 4 twin air mattresses available for use.
The cabin (2nd building) located approximately 100 yards from the main house has an additional beds for 5 (queen bed, 1 queen sleeper sofa, 1 twin bed,) with its own bathroom, kitchen sink and mini fridge. There is no additional charge for use of the cabin, but there is an additional $125 housekeeping fee for housekeeping.
The ranch has a gorgeous private pool with grotto and water fall that is perfect for those hot Texas summer days. Natural springs feed the creek and fishing pond and is stocked with catfish and perch. Don’t forget to bring your own tackle and bait!!!!
The town of Fredericksburg has great food, quaint shops, and several wineries. If your adventurous, then we suggest taking a hike up Enchanted Rock, or watching the daily immersion and return of bats at the Old Tunnel Management Area , or possibly a visit to The Wild Seed Farm. If you don't mind the drive, then San Antonio, Texas is just 1 hour away!!!
Kubota ATV available for rent at $69 per day, and must be rented for the total number of nights in reservation.
The pet fee of $200 is for 2 pets. Case by case basis on pets.
Please note: Base lodging rate is for double occupancy (2 guests), there is an additional charge per additional guest per night. A 7% Gillespie County sales tax added to all reservations in addition to the state tax. NO REFUNDS FOR CHANGES 14 DAYS OR LESS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. THIS INCLUDES NO SHOW GUESTS OR CABIN USE.

We had a great time at the ranch. It had something for everyone. Just relaxing in the pool, driving around the property in the atv, watching sunrise and sunset on the deck. Also, Fredericksburg is close by and offers museums, shopping, winery’s and restaurants. All in all, it’s plan on booking again.

Excellent communication with the host. Prompt replies to my questions and OMG, did I mention the Zebras? A beautiful ranch home tucked away in the hill country. The swimming pool was frosty and the beds comfy. You need to stay here and just bask in the quiet. My whole family loved it and we will be back again and again.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Rancho Del Sol. The photos do not do it justice. The ATV rental is a must! All 4 kids caught a fish in the pond, including 2 first timers! They loved swimming and seeing all of the animals. A couple of things that were not obvious when reading the listing was that 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom are in the separate cabin. The main house is a 4/2 with one primary bathroom and one jack and Jill bathroom. The other piece that I looked over initially was the price listed is only for 2 guests! There is an additional charge for each guest after 2. So make sure to read the fine print! However, we wouldn’t have changed a thing; our stay was perfect for our two families!

Biggest problem was the electronic gate code. The gate does not work as programmed. You literally have to pull the pin then manually open the gate and then manually close it and fight the closer until you can pin it again. Needs serious work. REAL pain. Pool nice but needs cleaning. Atmosphere very far like as advertised and many animals. Probably not suited for couples but plenty so for families. We would not choose to go again because of the gate hassle
