Only 45 minutes from Gijón and Oviedo and 60 minutes from Santander and the Nature Park of Cabárceno. The area has multiple restaurants of all kinds with traditional cuisine (Casa Pacho in Meluerda at 1 km.) And signature cuisine (Casa Marcial in La Salgar at 17 km). The area is also well known for the Sella River where an annual event of international renown in canoeing occurs. There are multiple active tourism companies that organize activities in nature, from horseback riding, to quad routes and canoeing down the Sella river.
