About this house rental
Conveniently located in downtown Saugatuck, this renovated and restored 135 year old historic district home is perfect for a family vacation or a friends retreat. This two story home features two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bath on the second floor. On the main floor, you'll find a spacious kitchen, living room, dining room, second full bath and a bonus sun room with a full futon pull out bed for additional sleeping options. The house sleeps a maximum of 6 people.
(Option to increase your group size by 2 people by adding the studio cottage on the property to your rental. This allows for total of 8 on the property. Additional rental costs apply and subject to availability. See details below and contact owner for more information.)
Please Note: Due to the historic nature of the property, and for the health and safety of guests, neighbors and owners, this property is STRICTLY NO PETS. Also, the historic staircase may present challenges for those with mobility issues.
For water sports enthusiasts, Birky's is literally one short block from public access to the Kalamazoo River. A great location to launch your canoe, kayak, or stand up paddle board! If you don't have your own equipment, there are numerous rental options locally.
The main house sleeps a maximum of six guests, however there is a small studio cottage available to rent behind the house that will accommodate two additional guests. This quaint cottage features a queen pull out futon bed, full bath, seating area for two and a kitchenette with mini fridge, two burner cook top, and microwave. We stayed at Birky’s for 3 nights and could not have been happier with our stay. Check-in was easy, the home was clean, and the location was absolutely ideal. Close to all of the shops, restaurants, and walking trails. We had a wonderful stay and already plan to return in the future. Thank you, Eric!

Host Eric was very communicative and easy to deal with! The cottage was fantastic- very well maintained, great layout with 2 very comfortable and spacious bedrooms, and location was ideal! Very short walking distance to everything downtown but very peaceful, so great for sleeping. Highly recommend!

This was a charming house in a great location. We appreciated one sleeping area and full bath on the main floor as the steps were quite steep to the upper level. However, the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs were very comfortable. We loved that we were walking distance from the river and the downtown shops and restaurants.
