Spacious unit at the far end of HBR; a little bit of a hike to get to the parking lot but there's a golf cart/shuttle to carry luggage and the advantage is that the view is unobstructed by any other buildings. The unit had a well stocked kitchen. We had some mechanical issues; one air conditioning unit wasn't working when we arrived and then the ceiling fan stopped working as well, but the a/c was fixed the next day. The unit was very clean and no signs of any mold/mildew that can plague some other properties. The grounds are beautiful and we particularly liked the tennis courts and the availability of a tennis pro for drills.

Although this property was pleasant, I don't think I would stay there again because it's distant from food stores and restaurants. I was surprised on checking in that the only source of food that evening within walking distance was the sports bar restaurant, and that the gift shop and Bali Hai restaurant had been closed for years. The closest driveable source of food is a supermarket and some mediocre Chinese/Thai and Mexican takeout in Princeville. The town of Hanalei seems more festive and walkable and has more food options.
