About this house rental
This unique and charming Horace Gifford home has magnificent views and is steps away from the beach! Light and bright floor plan - open concept with upstairs decks, living room, kitchen, dining room, and skylight. You can see the ocean from all of the upstairs decks. Our house sleeps 6 and is fully air conditioned. Three bedrooms and two baths downstairs. Private, sunny pool with hot tub and outdoor shower. Close to harbor and Whyte House. The home has recently gone through a furniture and decor refresh by a talented group of SCAD artists. Paradise in the Pines at bamboohousefireisland!

The Bamboo House is a standout among many Fire Island places where I have stayed. Unlike most activity-filled beach vacations where the house is just a place to sleep, in the Pines, your home is the activity - or at least where all the activities happen. The Horace Gifford designed home is at once stylish and relaxed. There are creative owner touches complimenting the architecture in every room. The layout of the house lends itself to throwing open the doors and windows to feel the ocean breeze in the day and listen to the waves at night. We began our mornings with coffee on the terraces looking out to the ocean and ended our days with cocktails by the pool and hot tub. We easily prepared meals in the well-appointed kitchen. We visited the beach - a 1-minute walk - daily. In short, we all fell in love with this amazing home and cannot wait to return to repeat the magic.

A lovely house with bags of character, spacious for entertaining inside and out, with balconies on each corner, ocean views, a short walk from the harbour and yards from the beach, with a nice pool deck. A fab spot.

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous Horace Gifford house. Keri and Gary were a delight—super communicative and lovely. The house was clean and well-maintained and had everything we needed, including some fabulous pool floats. Thank you so much for a wonderful week!
