About this house rental

Completely renovated home with large deck for outdoor summer fun. Sleeping for 11, with much more room for sleeping bags or air mattresses. Can comfortably accommodate more if the upstairs and downstairs floor space is utilized.

The home is surrounded by great people that help make your family vacation fun. Plenty fun for all ages, swimming, plenty of fishing opportunity from boat or dock.

We also have a pontoon boat for rent as well. ($800 weekly) There is public access to launch your own boat on the lake, and you can dock right in front of cottage at our pier.

Central air, Big screen TV, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, huge deck overlooking water with table seating for 10+, Weber gas grill, washer/dryer, ceiling fans.

House is clean and warm. We ask that our guests treat the home as they would their own.

Not as described. No bedding or towels. We were not informed about bringing our own. Many things need repairs. Holes in wall of one bathroom. Tile on floor broken with sharp. edges. Steps are dangerous daughter fell. Could have been much cleaner. But the lake view was very nice.

We enjoyed our stay. Didn't realize we were going to be back on a channel . Felt a little cramped in, congesisted neighborhood but nice neighbors. The kitchen could use some cooking utensils like big serving spoons, soup ladel,etc.

From the youngest to the oldest - everyone enjoyed time spent together in this lake home! There was plenty of seating inside and on the deck for our large group. Furnishings were comfortable and kitchen had all we needed. Definitely rent the pontoon boat--we took it out every single day! George is a responsive host--we totally enjoyed his home and our grandkids had the BEST time.

Sitting on the waterfront deck, savoring that first cup of coffee, listening to the birds, no traffic noise, can life get any better? But wait there’s more. Cruising Big Long Lake on the pontoon boat searching for the elusive 5lb bass just steps away. Now that’s enjoying life to its top. Thank you George and Judy for a great adventure. Your assistance made this trip special, showing us around the lake, and directions to local stores.

The location and lake was absolutely perfect. Everything that you would need at a lake house was there. The property management was very helpful. If there was one thing I would like to see changed is the furnishings could be updated.

My brothers, sisters and I, our kids and grandkids have gotten together every year for one week in July for about 20 years. This year was by far one of the best times we had! The house was large and roomy, the lake fantastic with plenty of places to fish. Lots of things to do within a half an hour. The neighbors was just the BEST!! Very helpful..from where on the lake are the best places to fish and help docking the boat to letting our kids use their beach area! George and Jane (the owners) got back with us quickly about any of our questions and even forgave us when we broke a fan blade (we fixed it). We made wonderful memories and had lots of laughter that week!! Thanks George and Jane

We had a wonderful week long stay. Enjoyed the lake and the pontoon boat immensely. Home was good size and worked well for our family reunion. Lots of stairs though, for anyone with difficulty with stairs. The deck on the lake was our favorite hangout. Nice quiet bay - easy access to good size lake. Much fun!

The house was right sized for our entire family (2 Parents, 3 Sisters with Husbands, 2 Brothers (one with Girlfriend) and 6 kids (11, 9, 7, 4, 3, 1 years old) using air mattresses we brought for the kids. Renting the pontoon boat with the house is a must if you don't have your own boat. We brought our own tube to pull the kids. The owner also let us use his kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boat. Fishing was great. We dropped the line in and immediately caught fish (Small mouth bass and sun fish) off the end of the pier. At night, we caught cat fish. The water is clean and the neighbors were very friendly. One neighbor let us use the diving board off his pier to let the kids jump in and swim. Would I Recommend....ABSOLUTELY! My family had a blast and we would definitely consider returning for a visit in the future.

Had a great week revisiting IN and being able to entertain a number of friends and family in the area. Although it could have been better had the weather cooperated, this rental provided sufficient space inside to comfortably accommodate some rather large gathering with numerous children running around. Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was even better the last day when it was finally nice outside. The owners were absolutely great and even took a couple of us out for an intro tour of the lake on the first night.

We had seven guys from our church's tech team attending Sweetwater's GearFest and wanted a place to hang out in the evening that provided better gathering space than a hotel. This house was perfect. We grilled out on the deck both nights and every body had a bed. The owner and his wife were very cool and we had an amazing time.

We went up for Memorial Day Weekend to swim, boat , fish and watch the Indy 500. We had a very nice weekend. The house was roomy, clean and fit my wife and I with 2 of my children and their spouses with my 6 grandchildren very comfortably. We cruised in the pontoon boat around the lake several times enjoying the view. We stopped at the Shady Nook Inn to eat dinner on the pontoon and would gladly recommend it. The grandchildren enjoyed the swimming in front of the house. All in all a nice place on a lake and would recommend to relax and enjoy.

We had a great time. The owner was very quick to respond and helpful prior to check in with any questions or concerns we had. The gentleman who was prepping the house and walked us through everything was right next door and was extremely nice and readily available should you need anything or have questions. The house was clean, cozy, and relaxing and had everything you needed. Great Lake house especially for the price!!! We also rented the pontoon which was well worth it! Great swimming and fishing spots. We had a couple early on issues with it (running weird because weeds were in it and battery failed), but the man next door instantly fixed both and it was perfect since! I would recommend the boat if swimming is part of your plan. The pier area is weedy and has algae since your in the channel and by lily pads, but the boat will get you to some great open water and sand areas! We would definitely rent again and had an excellent, relaxing time.

Had a wonderful time! The house was clean and the seven of us were very comfortable. A quiet cove, to relax and regroup after day trips to the surrounding area. Easy access to LaGrange, Sturgis, and other areas. Highly recommended.
