Super clean and very close to the beach. Janet is a terrific host - very quick to respond and even met us at the house at check in to show us how everything works and answer our questions. Great location and short walk to the free shuttle to the water taxi to Seattle. Would definitely stay here again!

Cutest little bungalow in a fun neighborhood. We walked to the beach, ate mission style burritos at Chupacabra and played at the arcade. Janet was so incredibly kind and communicative. The Alki House will become my West Side go-to

Janet, was great to work with from the beginning. She was very quick to respond! She even saved us a parking space at the house! This was the end of our family trip with teenagers & we all loved the location! Fun to explore with all the public transportation of the city bus & ferry. Enjoyed the restaurants & walking on the boardwalk. The house was a perfect size for us & enjoyed sitting outside in the evening.

Such a cute cottage in the perfect location! Half a block to the water, lots of great restaurants within walking distance, while still being in a quiet neighborhood. We had a great stay. The bed was comfortable, Janet provided beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella--it was ideal for us.

Janet is a superb host who has thought of literally everything you could need. There is an excellent Restraunt right across the street and many more just a block away. Great location for taking a water ferry into Seattle so you don’t need to hassle with the drive or parking. I would love to stay there again.

Loved this cutd little house. Only a 2 minute walk to Alki Beach. The downside to being this close to the beach, and isnt stated in property listing, is parking is on a first come first serve basis. You are not guaranteed a parking spot near the house. I was not told this. But besides that little kink, everything else was great!! House was clean, stocked and pretty comfy bed too!

Great location a block from Alki Beach and across the street from The Homestead local log cabin and now upscale "Il Nido" restaurant. Also a block down from another log cabin that is a museum run by the local historical society. Nice bed and pull out sofa.

I loved the Alki beach house. It is the perfect place for a few people. It is small, but that was perfect for me. It was clean, cozy and relaxing. I loved coming back to the house after a day of visiting my loved ones. It was great to have my own space. I took many walks along Alki beach. I even saw an orca in the distance. Alki beach is a beautiful spot. I would stay again!

As a senior woman traveling alone, the Alki House was a great place for me. The house was sparkly clean, comfortable and complete with all the amenities that made for a comfortable stay. This house had everything we needed for a short stay. Seattle and all it's attractions were a short drive away, but there was also a shuttle to the water taxi and bus route a block away. I loved the little seating area outside, and the extra toys and supplies for the beach (including umbrellas, chairs and a wagon which we did use!). The owner met us at the property to give us the code and a tour. She was very kind and helpful, but we got in really late so I think a text or email with the code would have been better for our family. We would definitely stay again!

My husband and I absolutely loved this place! It is clean, quaint, cozy, stylish, and well loved. We appreciated meeting the host on arrival and found that the location could not be beat. Walking distance to scads of great restaurants, free bus to the water taxi, comfortable bed, comfortable living room couch, plenty of beach items for your use.And the windows are great! As is the side patio and chairs which allow you to relax in your side yard and wave to passerbys should you wish to interact. This home is so cute. It is often noted the bathroom is small..and that is accurate. But if you can live with a small bathroom, you will not regret selecting this place. We will definitely hope to stay here again if we are fortunate to get to Alki Beach in the future.

The biggest surprise about the property was how well stocked it was! Every kitchen appliance. Even a yoga mat. As a bonus it was festive for Christmas, with lights and a wreath on the door. Warm and cozy. Super location.

Cute vintage house located a short walk from the beach and restaurants. Host was friendly and informative. The only thing I would note is the size of the bathroom. The bathroom and shower are very narrow. If anyone in your party has mobility issues, this won't work for you. Otherwise, a really great place to stay!

Went on a two week trip to the PNW. West Seattle was our first stop And we stayed at the Alki BeachHouse for our first two nights. Originally, we were going to stay three nights, but then we decided we wanted to make an extra stop on our trip so we cut it back to two. There was no hassle. Janet gave us a full refund for that extra night and actually now I wouldn’t have minded staying another extra night because it was so cool there. We could not have found a better place to stay. It is the cutest cleanest place and so close to the beach. If I were to return back to Seattle, I would definitely stay here. It has a wonderful little patio area that we sat out on the two nights we stayed. We received so many compliments from people walking by about how pretty the property was. So many extra amenities that we didn’t even use like things for the beach, including beach chairs; a log in the fireplace, which we also did not use. The location is great. We took the water taxi over to downtown Seattle and the free bus to get to the water taxi. Everything is so easy. West Seattle Beach Was fun and safe feeling. We saw a cool otter and the fires in the large fire pits along the beach that evening were really cool too. Not to mention great food! This is a gem of a place to stay and the price was very reasonable for what you get.

We had a fantastic stay at this cute Alki Beach house for the start of our Washington vacation! Location was fantastic-very easy to take water taxi to downtown Seattle. Very clean. Very comfortable for 3. We had all that we needed! Property owner was fantastic-provided lots of helpful information about the area. Street parking was manageable. We would love to stay here again!

Janet and her husband are amazing. This was my first time using vrbo and they were so welcoming and made it all a breeze! The home is absolutely beautiful and cozey. The landscaping is beautiful. Originally we wanted to spend the last night or two of our National Parks trip in downtown Seattle, but the lodging costs were outrageous, so I expanded the search and found this little gem in West Seattle, just off Alki Beach. Clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The living area and bedroom were larger than I expected, although I will say that the bathroom was tight (a tall person would find it hard to get around). But that was the only minor drawback. We enjoyed the little patio space. The location is perfect. Very short walk to the beach and the local restaurants. There is a bus that runs around the area, including to the water taxi that provide access to downtown Seattle, be we enjoyed the walk along the shore (about 2.5 miles from the house to the ferry pier and just a little farther to Salty’s (seafood restaurant with good food and nice views of the Seattle skyline). Janet was great to work with. She met us at the house to show us around and answer any questions. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. I would definitely stay here in the future.
